Miss Mango Goes On Vacation
My dear avo, or as T calls her "mango" is going on vacation!
I bought an avocado, two actually, and raised both into plants.
One... left me, sadly, but this one survived. Also thanks to Ingo who bought the humidifier!!!
We´re off to Perth soon and T will take care of "Miss Mango", as he calls her now.
Mango???
Well, T is from former GDR, they had neither, no avocado, no mango, hence a joke (he even had to explain to me, oh, my!).
They learned gardening at kindy, hence avo-mango will be in very good hands - in Wolfsburg!
My plant does some travelling, just as we do! :-)
After a real long, hard time, loosing his girlfriend so slow to cancer he finally found himself an apartment of his own, leaving her son with the house (he still cares, "men-coffee" every Saturday).
SO!
We´ll bring avo over and have brunch.
I ordered a housewarming-"meal", I just could not decide!!!
I got a bread with tomatoe, which he loves, one with rucola and one with roqueford-cheese.
Small loafs, certainly :-)
"My" baker-lady just shook her head, grinning.
(I´ll order one when we´re back!)
Happy/thankful for: Ran into my fav neighbour for taking care of Ingo´s car and our mail whilst we´re gone - she said yes :-), that I "found" that T-Shirt-motive and a close up with one of the squirrel-kids, awww, cutie pie!
And soon we really do buy mangos that are ready to eat - from our Iranian family!

Loooove that teeshirt 💙 The mangoes and avocados are perfect here at the moment. Just bought two huge avos this afternoon, yum!
Yes, I must have one! Oh, I so look forward to real, fresh, yummy fruit and veggies, Grace!
I like that t-shirt!
Yep! :-)
My husband is enjoying mangos at the moment. I don't like mangos or avocado.
I bought huge avocados at a farmer's market recently. My mango tree is fruiting and has lots of mangoes this year, still a month or more until they ripen.
Wish you a Happy journey to Perth!
Joan Elizabeth I bet you get lots of "what?!"´s for that, as I do when I say I don´t like sweets ;-)
Sami, that sounds yummy! And it reads wonderful, your own mango-tree!
magiceye, thank you, it´s still a bit till we go, though.
Oh, that's fun! I love mangoes.
Glad you have a good friend looking out for you while you are away -- that has to be so exciting to be getting ready to go. Can't wait to hear about it when you return!
It´s still a while, till we go, though!
T knows I do not celebrate myself as I do not like to be the POI (Point Of Interest), so next Saturday is out of question for him! Funny T, is he!
Plus... I hope to have internet there again and stay online as usual :-)
But yes! I am glad to have my T!
Mango's and avocados … very yummy!
All the best Jan
Yes and it´s a shame what you can buy here! Never ripe...
