Hop On

Saw this jewel the other day. Can such a tiny have strength?

Ha, Look here! I´m one, too.

And also my Brother!

Aren´t we all, don´t we all need to be strong?

Henry 🦁... ummm... Henry 👨...

So, hop on, let´s be brave.
Times WILL get better.

2001 on this day I went to a job interview, signed the contract 30 minutes later and as May 1st is a public holiday started on May 2nd.
No such luck this time...

Btw... yesterday was plain WONDERFUL!
We had rain... thunder and even lightning! One flash so close I even gave an "huhhh!".
I LOVE this weather. ⛈🌩

I LOVE thunderstorms, walked home from work once during a storm, the gutters were full of water and I stepped in them to cross the roads, a bolt of lightning hit the road three metres from me, it was wonderful! I got home completely soaked to the skin, my shoes took a week to dry and I still smile when I remember it, over twenty years ago now.

LOVE your comment!!!!
I´m SO with you!!!
For me it´s a bit difficult as I cannot see much without my glasses, but I still love walking half-blind and feeling the rain on my face.

Ingo got the most wonderful Birthday-pressie in 1999. It was in WA, in the bush.
We really thought about packing and leaving so heavy the thunderstorm was, a lightshow! It passed by least moment (we had two jerry can holders, full, on the roof).
I´ll never forget that. Mother Nature sure took care to say "Happy Birthday"!

I have a friend who was showering during a thunder/lightening storm. Lightening hit his house, then ran through the pipes filled with water, and he was knocked out. His wife called the ambulance and they resuscitated him. She gave him CPR until they arrived. He was lucky to be alive. Now I am mindful of thunderstorms. Glad you enjoyed yours, dear.

Oh, boy, Elizabeth!!! I´ll surely NEVER take a shower in this weather!
Neither will Ingo!
Once, long ago, I unplucked all electrics, as Ingo´d told me (I was into flat sharing) - I was the only one in the whole house with intact PC and TV, all others were "hit" and gone.

That would be a quick end 😉
Nice to know so many love this kind of weather!

I love watching thunderstorms especially at night when the lightning rips across the sky. I had picked the Young One up at her uni and we were walking to the car. The sky was very dark, the air so thick it pressed on you. Just as we got to the car, a large bolt of lightning struck very close to us! We both jumped for the safety of the car! Too close for comfort!

Tom, yes, but it´s a hero, don´t you think ;-)

CJ, I know this feeling, glad we "escaped"!!!

I was taught to not take showers in a lightening storm either-they are very cool to watch though-power of mother nature.

I like this bike. Glad you were able to enjoy the thunder storm.

Iris Flavia said...

Thank you, it was wonderful, we have this very seldom here, the thunderstorms.

I hate thunderstorms - find them scary and always look for leaks that may have happened in the roof! We had gentle rain all day yesterday which was nice.

Iris Flavia said...

Gentle rain is nice, too - love that.

Hmmm... that bike looks like it would be hard to ride, but I would give it a try!

Iris Flavia said...

Well, actually this was about being tiny but strong.
Maybe I´m a bad writer?

Thunderstorms are nice only if you are indoors, at least for me. Growing up, my dad had a friend who was struck by lightning and died. I've seen adults ride those bikes, they looked ridiculous.

Iris Flavia said...

Sorry for that friend.
And yes, can imagine adults... tall adults look ridiculous an that!

I like storms, too -- at least for awhile! That bike reminds me of the banana bikes of days olden!

PerthDailyPhoto said...

Oh snap Iris we had one too, a storm that is, it was wonderful but unfortunately didn't last long enough. Cute lil bike, would have been fun to see its owner 😉

Iris Flavia said...

Jeanie I sadly never had one of those bikes...

Grace, yay for that weather, short as it is!
Yes, wonder who drives such a bike, too!
