You´ve Got Mail (We Did - Not After 8 pm)

Oh, don´t you love the movie? And Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan? Awwwww.

Well. We got mail. From the Pharmademie, love that word cause it tells the truth!
Many make money with Corinna. The Pharma-industry, the politicians...

I STILL (from NOVEMBER) !!! have a parcel for Perth here I cannot send, code orange....

The letter (dated 7 days back, too!) reads our health and safety is "so important" to "them". And they are happy to inform us that persons with "certain" (???) pre-existing illnesses can get a vaccine.

What pre-existing illness should I  have????

And how would they know in Hannover?!

We are "entitled" to get a date for a vaccine.

I am healthy and fit, I have no illness apart from maybe (still waiting for the letter from the doc) a thyroid hypofunction. I´m not even 50! The vaccines are not tested, products get taken off the market hence, cause side-effects are bad for too many people.
(And I always get but the side effects).

We had an argument on this, Ingo and I.

IF!!! If or when we can travel to Perth again... we book one year in advance anyways.

THEN - if needed.... I´ll get a shot. Not before this!!!

Corinna is a virus. A living being and living beings mutate.
A shot today would be useless in a year.
They spread panic with "mutations coming from Great Britain, Africa", CERTAINLY this happens, it´s a virus, it mutates a tad faster than us.

After our argument we saw the news and there they said maybe come June/July all people can get a vaccine.

CAN GET!

They planned to force us to buy these super-expensive masks (plan was deleted) - we have to wear medical ones, no hand made.

Oh, sure. Another punch in the stomach for all those lille stores who sew cute masks and cannot sell them anymore.

Sorry, rant over.

"pre-existing illness"... I´d have a "post-existing illness" afterwards!

Henry 🦁?!

He wants to run to Hanover and bite their butts! Then off to Berlin and continue the job! Our "Chancellor"´d be first, big butt she has. No brains or conscience... (Lehr means teaching).

News yesterday night: You cannot leave your home after 08:00 pm.
Is Corinna more active from that time on????
Actors stand up #allesdichtmachen.

I could cry.

Ingo had a weird Perth-dream, hence we´re up already. On a Saturday!

P.S. Hopes are gone. The workplace at Ingo´s company is taken. Since weeks already.
Ingo sadly didn´t know this.
Hope and loose.

And, really. Why is it called Covid 19?!!!!! Not 0 or 1?
Because we have it since 18 times before, maybe not that bad. argh.
In my eyes - I am no doctor/scientist, but I have a brain... It´s making panic and money.

YES. It goes on your lungs and really harms people with pre-sicknesses dangerously.
Excuse me... like any flu does.

I read about FIT people 100 + years old who survived Corinna. Months ago, so don´t ask me for a link, search yourself, I think it was Greece and Spain.

I have near to no contact to people but Ingo and W.
I keep distance. DISTANCE.

I think more and more people get sick of this.
Because it´s a threat we have since... forever.

Addendum! As The Padre thankfully (thank you, like really) said #19 refers to the year 2019.
Yet... we had sooooo many flus and whatever.
Corinna will mutate..
I´m so sad about the "lost" workplace btw... I thought it was a real chance.

I think the pre-existing illnesses might mean things like asthma. In the news here it says a vaccine booster might be necessary after 12 months, so I think maybe eventually we will have a yearly flu shot and a yearly covid shot.
I'll get my shot when it's my turn and hope I don't get side effects like a blood clot, I'm told they are pretty rare anyway.

I have no asthma or anything - how ... too long to even start a discussion on that, right...
Here the side affects are even deadly for some (BECAUSE they had pre-existing illnesses???)
Weird times.
Hope all goes well in your place!!!

I'm opposite of you when it comes to vaccines. I trust the science behind them. I want to have a life and not worry about getting sick. I wish I had gotten a letter like that so I could have gotten my vaccine earlier. In this lovely technology world people can find out all kinds of things about you, which is a scary thought. Hope you are having a good weekend so far Iris. hugs-Erika

William, yes!

_____

Laurie, isn´t that a cutie one (movie) - and YES, the other one, too!!!
YES, just keep the distance - safer than taking an untested vaccine...

___

Padre, I mentioned your input as addition, thank you for correcting me!

____

Erika... maybe in your country the meds are safe - here... they are not!!!

I love that movie, and all movies with Meg Ryan and movies with Tom Hanks :)
I am entitle to have the Astra Zeneka vaccine because I'm part of medical staff, but I have yet to book it. Even though they have considered it safe for under 50's (in Australia) and I'm well over that age it still worries me.
But I know that if I want to travel overseas I will need the two shots! But when will we be able to travel?
With the flu vax every year there are different strains so the vaccine changes to cover those, so now that Covid has mutated is that vaccine they originally made still good for anything? Who knows,it worries me, and my boss would like us to have the vaccine of course! But after telling me not to worry about the 3 or 4 clot incidents in Australia, she went and had the Pfizer vax and she's mid 50's, so why?

I love that movie. One of my favorites! As for the vax, I got it, I'd get it again. The side effects are minimal and those who have had serious side effects or infections after the shot are so tiny in the grand percentage of things, that it is worth it. It also helps if you have it asymtomatically to not be able to spread to others who are unvaccinated and may get a far worse case than the one they get it from. It's being part of the solution. Plus, with traveling we will all eventually need it -- and booster shots each year like the flu vaccine. I trust the science. If we want this thing to end, we have to participate in helping that happen and the vaccines will do that.

Oh, it's Covid-19 because it was officially discovered and named in 2019. If we didn't discover it till 2020, it would have been Covid-20.

Got my first vaccine shot yesterday, it went smoothly. Saw that movie years ago, it was a good one. Enjoy your weekend, Iris.

My husband and I had our first shot (Pfizer) this week. Now waiting for the second one: may 25. I think it's the best solution available

I am in a agreement with you. we decided we don't want this shot too many people getting very ill from some of these shots. and they can cause blood clots? why would a cardiac patient want to risk his life with this? we are not around people at all, we social distance outdoors if someone should stop by, we sanitize constantly. and they already said this is mutating so they will be wanting everyone to do this again.
we do always get the flu shots as those have really helped us over the years and also keep up on the pneumonia shots--too many bad people making money with covid a disgrace ok my rant is over-haha will probably lose even more friends now oh well exercising my free speech hugs enjoy your weekend

Amypie said...

I haven't seen any proof so far that they are unsafe, there hasn't been information put out about why some people get clots and some don't, but if it's offered here I'll probably get it.

I had my shot a month ago and have had no problems! I want the protection and to be able to see friends again1

Iris Flavia said...

Sami, that´s exactly my point - is the darn stuff safe and... does its still work at all?
Here we had if I got that right death cases from the side effects, or maybe those people were sick already and it was just the mini-pip needed to "finish the job". It is scary... (and yes, love their movies, they´re great, sweet people)

____

Jeanie, some of the best movies with the two.
Well, German products seem to fail? I see near to no people and I´m THE side-effect person :-(

I know of teh name now ;-)

____

Bill, glad you had no side-effects. Enjoy your weekend, too!

____

Bertiebo, I´ll wait still. I see no one anyways...

____

Kathy, EXACTLY! Yes, blood clots and BOOM. And it mutates, so, not for me.
I had a flu shot once. 2 weeks I was out, side-effects...! I never in my life ... knock on wood - had the flu (am I thankful for a wooden floor ;-)...)

____

Amy, I still wait. There were other side effects like palsy, brain damage - you are right, you never know what sickness was already there. But as I see near to no one... not (yet).

____

RedPat, glad it went well! For now I cannot even send a parcel to Australia, code orange for that. Wonder when we may travel again....
