T STands For TEN

For Elizabeth´s T-party I join with a sparkling tea - CHEERS!!!!

I only found this party 2019 - and I learned so much from all of you!
A big THANK YOU!
You motivate me, you helped me out of the big hole called job-loss, too.
As kid I liked to paint.
When studying I enjoyed act drawing - a great break from technical drawing, but with working life I lost interest, other things took over.

Now I enjoy both, my work and getting creative!
Thanks to our host and all you participants.
Ingo was relieved I found a way out of the misery and presented me with (too) many art-supplies.
And the ideas do not stop, to T and Tea!

Bought this teabag-holder with mama and baby Koala in Perth (no surprise).
It sits at my workplace to make sure my tea does not sit in the cup forever.
I hate tea that bathed too long.

And I have international tea, too!

I love both art-pieces, but especially the house, thank you, Darla!
It reminds me of Tuscany.
And Ingo Saturday really suggested we make a trip there in September!
Tempting...
Either way - today is American tea-tasting day!

Ingo kinda celebrated, too with home made fruit jelly-o:

I join rather with this:

The journal:

Monday: Cooled down, tops only 24C / 75F.
Windy, no balcony-time. Have we been lucky with the weekend!!
Warm enough, though, for fresh, cool cherries and melon from the fridge!
4 sessions of training.
And I lied last T-Day. There WERE mossies...

Tuesday: What are the chances... Phone rings. Me: "Kaiser..." (Emperor) - other person: "König (King)... I believe I got the wrong number..."
We had a good, lille laugh 🤴🤴 See, that´s why I kept my name when we got married.
Actually it should´ve been Kaiserin and Königin, as we were both female...

Nice chat with new ESE-teamleader, later WhatsApped with ALSTOM-teamleader... on cooking - times are a changing (I learned to cook and bake only after losing my job)!
Balcony time - no training.

Wednesday: 05:something a.m. and 26C/79F already... THAT is life!!!! Birds are chirping... ah, wonderful.
News: From today on we work for us only. The rest was with taxes. It gets later and later every year. €1 is worth €0,47. The stupid working German really "works his butt off".

Super-nice chat with two male ESE-colleagues who also have to take a break from ALSTOM - good times!
Ingo met ALSTOM-teamleader to give my laptop-back... 😥

Bro called, another sad, frustrated call.

Balcony-time, only 2 sessions of training. Priorities, right?

Being an atheist I enjoyed the movie Life of Pi anyways - or even because
To not confuse you... it´s not about π - or just a bit. Pi is a boy and he get´s lost at sea with Richard Parker...

Thursday: Work was fun with the other two "ALSTOM-holidayers".
Later still-at-ALSTOM-ESE-teamleader called to let me know they are on plan and likely November I can come back!
It cooled down, grey, rainy.
4 sessions of training - in case you think it´s a lot: 1 session is 25 minutes only. To good music.

Friday: At the doc. Woman, my age, filling out a paper, asking the elderly man beside her (cause I was reading on my kindle) what date it was.
Him: "Dunno. I only know it´s Friday..."
Me: " I, after thinking, wrote 14th... hope that´s correct."

Duuuude. Back in the day we knew what date it was!

Warm day again, BBQ and sketching, due to all the running to doc etc only one session of training.
Summer is more important, right!

Weekend: Saturday: Started sunny, then... grey, grey, grey, windy. Lazy day. No Botanical Gardens... But later sketching and BBQ - and I forgot the ham!!!
Then rain again. Just drops, sadly - where is my SUMMER RAIN???
We wrapped up and sat on the balcony till late at night with Henry.

Sunday: Stormy! What´s with summer?
Die Maus even stood in rain....

Phew, sorry for this long one...

Henry 🦁

Let´s celebrate creativity!

Those salad plates of food are great in Summer when it's too hot to cook anything. Gotta have a good cup of tea, I like mine strong but I haven't tried it sparkling though.

Frankly... I was out of bread, LOL!
Usually I have chicoree with pepper, tomatoes, cucumber and tuna in summer. Hmmm...
Sparkling was refreshing - from the fridge, too.

I had a cup of tea yesterday but it tasted old and dusty although the teabags were still within use-by date. I so rarely drink tea I think I will throw them all out and have space in the cupboard for something else.

Iris Flavia said...

Won´t happen here ;-)
It would happen with coffee, though...

Loved your 10 and really loved what Darla sent you, That house is amazing. I also LOVE that postcard. It is beautiful. Nice that Darla sent you some unique teas. Blackberry citrus sounds wonderful.

Always fun to see your calendar pages. I know you will be back at Alston in November. They want you back, I'm sure of it. You are too valuable.

Laughed at what day it is. LOVE your drawing of Pooh and Piglet.

Thanks for sharing your 10 in teas, Darla's swap gifts, and your amazing calendar with us for this very special 10th anniversary T this Tuesday, dear Iris.

Glad you liked my 10, Elizabeth.
And the swap really was a great idea of yours.
To the next 10!

Wonderful idea to celebrate this special T-day with a 10 made from lots of teas, tea art, and a sparkling tea. Happy celebration to you, Iris. So glad we found this place and can meet up every Monday/Tuesday. You are such a delight and I have loved seeing you rekindle your inner artist. You are very talented.

Glad come November you will be back on your favorite job. Something to really look forward too.

Glad to know your exercises are 25 minutes - I was getting bit worried about your 4 and 5 times exercise comments. Still you do well with it!!! Love your journal entries for the week and your stories. Also fab art and teas from Darla.

Hugz and have a fab week!

My PC closed up on me in the middle of my comment. This is a special post and I love seeing your journals. I can't remember where you and I met, maybe PPF? In any case I'm glad we are blogging sisters. You inspire me with your art and attitude. This is a great way to celebrate with Elizabeth. Have a nice day.

Sparkling tea? Happy T day!

Iris Flavia said...

Bill, nooo... it´s summer - pretty please!
To a nice evening none-the-less!

____

Nicole, dear blogging-sister, I truly sadly cannot remember where we met, either! Time is running so fast!
Either way - glad we´re here!
YOU inspire ME!!!
I wanted to make a mobile with eyes I got and my glasses... sadly I have no space/have to find one.
But you made me get a whole set! To a nice day!
___

RedPt, oh. I wan´t that happy with the Koalas - in reality they look better - but thank you :-)

____

Divers and Sundry - yes to all that!! Join! Huh?

____

Granny Sue, it is fun!

____

Jeanie, thank you - oh, I am actually not really conten - it looks much better in reality!

___

Those are great items in your postcard from Darla. I also like your colorful number 10 made with tea bags and boxes. And Ingo's birthday jello looks interesting. Are those currents? Your munchies look yummy and would have made a super lunch or snack. And of course, I always love your journal too Iris. This is another fun T day post. I hope you had a super day. I ran out of time commenting, but I did finally make it by.Phew! hugs-Erika

Such nice items and art that Darla sent you. I enjoyed hearing how you started with TSFT in 2019, and how we helped when you were jobless, and how we encouraged you in your art. We are glad you are here, too. Hugs. Happy TSFT 10th Anniversary.

I love your Tea Ten! Glad to know you will be back at work in November. Your Journal pages are always a delight to see and I have just had a huge catch up to see what I missed while away in France? Belated Happy T Day, Chrisx

Iris Flavia said...

Chris, thank you. Oh, I do work, just different projects, all good x
Looking forward to see your travel-adventures.

You really had some happy mail from Darla. I love the house. And your display of the number ten is great.
I always look forward to your diary. The drawings are so cute. You made me smile with that date. I have a big electronic thing in the kitchen that displays the day and date and also whether it is morning, afternoon or night. It is meant for elderly people. I confess I rely on it a lot (well, to all intent and purposes, I am elderly)
Happy belated T-Day,
Hugs,
Lisca
