Easy Peasy
Friday all went well.
Well, the streets were crammed with cars.
I did that every second weekend for five years when Ingo still lived in Rhüden, crazy.
The big Niece was not having it.
She couldn´t go to kindy and was very frustrated.
And to my shame I have to admit I was glad Daddy offered the telly as help.
Though we played a bit, too.
I let the big one win and have to say I´m proud she also took in her little Sis who by no means could play the game - well done!
In the end she gave me a crown cause I lost so often.
Good kid!
Little Niece realized Mummy was gone... when Mummy was back only!
Such a cutie!
We "painted" (my hands mostly, that or the table!) and she loved to play with my cam again. Which surprisingly survived!
At some time she came over just to get a cuddle, such a sweet age!
And when Mummy was back even Daddy couldn´t help.
Again the big Niece didn´t really say good-bye and again the wee one waved like a queen and gave me a kiss on the cheek.
I´ll be back tomorrow, yay for days off!

Spring At Least?
The lampions and beach chair just scream for a summer-evening outside, no?
Still way to cold, even for spring...
Where there is red there needs to be some green here, too, no?
I think this is some art-project, but couldn´t find out more...
Bring on the temps now, I´m sick of the cold!

Ingo Has A Big Heart
Remember when in January we got rid of our "faithful" green vacuum cleaner?
Ingo´d cut off the cable.
And now he finally made it to the hardware store and gave this part of the cleaner a second life as an extension cable. :-)

Ready To Go - Wax Pastels(-Memories)
Ok. I got paper to paint on for each, paper-crowns (emperor is our family name), paper-masks, crayons and waffles.
Am I fully equipped for the first time being alone with my Nieces????
I´m SO.Darn.Nervous!
Heaps of what if´s in my head.
What if someone hurts herself or the other/doesn´t listen to me/has a diaper incident/I hurt someone accidentially...
Maybe it was rather dumb to say yes to babysitting...
Anyhows.
When R suggested those wax-crayons my mind drove back to my 5th Birthday.
Just before my Dad went skiing with me, our car got stuck in snow, last minute the last driver arrived to help us and Dad said: Get out, you´re too heavy.
(Four years old!)
He did not say: "I´ll drive a few meters when the car is running free and stop to get you", he just drove.
I thought he leaves me in the dark woods, it was horrible, I cried all the way home and paid for that later, too!
Then they sent me away to a treatment at a health resort to gain weight (too heavy!) and were the only parents who stuck to the rule:
No pressies for birthday.
There were three other kids who got parcels from their parents plus crayons and a coloring-book from the centre.
Me?
Crayons and book only.
Guess what I thought/worried about.
At the huge train station Hannover all parents were there - but mine.
They got a new car, which broke down.
Pre cell-phones it took them a while to organise a male friend to pick me up.
Back then you grew up with: Don´t go with men you don´t know.
Guess what.
The next BMW was better, maybe story to come.
Oh. Please cross fingers and toes all goes well with my very first baby-sitting-session!

That Car Looks Brand-New
That Car Looks Brand-New ...said the man who parked beside my car at the garage where I gave the winter-tyres to store.
Well. Yes. Will never be that shiny again.
If this was the newest model?
Umm... yes?
Later the lady asked, how many kilomters?
... 100? 101.
At the traffic lights I realised: Püppi has her left arm up and turned to the "girly"-mirror, how creepy is that!
(no really, the mirror is shaped kinda female, no?)
I must´ve had accidentially put her arm up when positioning her?
Well, dunno. I need to push the pedal real hard, found myself driving at 90 km/h on the freeway!
And... with glovies on you cannot work the touchscreen. But! The car warms up real fast!
And... the park assist-thingy is not only audible, but also visible.
And the sound of the turn signal is really nice.
Now let´s see if I need the car for 3 years. Likely I loose the project after the first quarter next year.

Don´t Brush Your Upper Teeth
So I braved up the other week and saw my dentist. I was right, I got parodontitis!
Took all my courage and went back for treatment despite a neighbour of Bro told me horror-stories about it.
Despite I´d said, I don´t wanna hear it!
I really should´ve just walked away. It´s not good to drill your kid to be polite always, I still am overly!
Pic: Those snowdrops each spring popped up like crazy in my parent´s garden. In ours: Not a single one, sadly.
So, on the way to the dentist I just had to stop and take a pic.
Another harbinger of spring on this icy cold day: crocus!
Despite stopping to take pics I was 15 minutes early, what can I say...
My dentist always treats me like a kid, she pats my arm and says, "well done", LOL.
Her colleague, who did the actual treatment was motherly-funny, also.
Despite it nearly not all hurt I couldn´t stop sitting there with the back straight, aka not being "seated" and shivering all the time.
I "talked" to my brain: it does not hurt, stop it!!!, but brain didn´t listen. Or Limbi, rather.
I could joke about it, but not stop it!
She only did the upper side - good thing cause a) it was exhausting and b) my dentist didn´t give enough of the "fine stuff"!
In the end I felt a bit, ewwww!
I was advised to get pain killers and we tried to find a second date.
- How about 2:30?
- Gah, ok, I can take hours off.
- Nah, forget it. Hmm, 10:00 am?...
- uups, rolled my eyes
- You wanna get signed sick? :-)
- That´s cheating! And I´m not good in lying, too.
- It´s common, we do it that way :-)
Aaaand. A day off!
Went to the pharmacy to get pain killers, said what for and the dude showed a very hurting face.
Oh-la, I thought.
Hurried home to eat before the pain kicks in.
Hours later I still "waited" for that to happen :-)
No.Pain.What.So.Ever!!!
Yet I´m supposed to not brush my upper teeth...
I really, really just should´ve walked away from that horror-stories telling guy!
Lesson learned!
Hm. Bro called he needs a baby-sitter.
I said yes.
Oh, help!!!
So many what-ifs considering the wee one!
Or what if the big one hurts herself?!
Why did I say yes?!
Cross your fingers and toes on Friday all goes well! Clumsy-Auntie on the way...

I Found A Heart - After Over Twenty Years
Yesterday Ingo went to Hildesheim again to get another backpack from a shop there, so I went to the city by myself, gas-bills were due, it was cold but sunny.
I went to dm to get some stuff like shampoo and such and when I later unpacked I grabbed something smooth that didn´t belong there.
A silver heart that makes jingling noises!
Ingo´d bought it two weeks ago and sneaked it in on Feb 29th!
And when I went over asking he put on this:
"It Should Rain Red Roses for Me ", aww...
After over 20 years, huh?
Ingo wants me to keep it in that bag, but, nahhh.
I´ll never hear it!
Pfffft.
When I found it, unpacking the bag, I didn´t wear my wedding-ring cause I just used cream on my hands.
Too heavy to ask Bro to make it a jewlery, sadly!
Any ideas where/how to "wear" it? Jeans-pocket seems fine, but what when summer comes?
It´s 4 cm in height.
Off to the dentist now :-(
