Who Eats Whom?

After lunch on Sat we went to the hardware store, certainly on foot with that springy weather.

The garden section it was, funny website, btw Monkeyjars.com.

We needed a tool.

Went to Schadt´s for a well earned beer and came dark...

This is the project, btw:

You don´t see much, do you?

We´re in Germany, right. If you wanna install something that involves the house you have to ask for it and we have one owner who would say no.
So... Ingo found the lastest antenna, a flat one you can attach to the window. And we own the window, so ... HA!
Ingo needed "something" as support, so I got him a proper cutting board:

With spring arriving Ingo had to do a secret job. The neighbour´s tree would make an end to the luxury when in full bloom hence...

Cut down DVBT, we don´t care anymore!

On Ingo´s cam I found also this... I did not step into dog-poo to take the pic of Oker´s reflection before!

The tree is fine btw, it was just one branch, not in bloom yet.

Our Marina

The weather was ... "beautiful" yesterday, some whopping 15C, sunny, we certainly had to go out!
Also cause Ingo got a plan, more of that later.

We came by here again...

I never know if to laugh or cry when I see this.
Advertised as "probably Braunschweig´s best address" I wonder if anyone is held responsible for this desaster...

Since river Oker may eventually overflow no one wants to invest money in the project, yet... the sign, the place, it all remains as it is, an empty promise.

There is this one at the end to the right:

Surprisingly the inside still looks good!

Whilst Ingo was working on the new project I ran errands and found these guys:

Yes, season opened!!! The yellow-orange bag is coal.
15C is well enough for a first real BBQ, right?
More to come :-)
Life has it´s ups and downs, guess we´re on the up again. Thanks everyone for being there also in the downs!

Old And New (Rituals)

Our Woolies is a tad different to the Aussie Woolies.
Once, ours is a cheapy for clothes, toys, kitchenware and stuff, second, it loves (our) location very much :-)

Quite frankly I prefer the Aussie one, but this is kinda cute, too, no?

Since 1879 you can buy stuff here.
Nostalgic, no?

As this:

My Granma used to love this branch, she dragged me in there when I was a kid to buy coffee and get me sweets.
Even as a kid I wasn´t much into sweets, so I was happy when later she took my "lille" Bro.
Yet, every time I pass this store here in Braunschweig I have sweet memories of my dear Granma...

"Ach choi, ach choi" is still in my ear when I think of her.
It was a tradition to go there, a ...

Ritual(s).

Do you also run into old rituals now and then like me?

(No|Too Much) Work Destroys Life

(Ha-Ha, I know) I have the feeling I wear a mask since quite a while now.
I´m a real person, life is not always daisys and stuff...

Nice, btw how peeps today try to preserve the old and bring the new times in, too, no, in those old half-timbered houses?

Times are tough over here, work-wise.
Ingo gives 250% till (some day coming) heart attack... and I have nothing to do.
I read. I learn. I´m 100% unproductive.
It´s so frustrating.

Transition: Done.
"Friend" of 15 years, now in higher position at VW dropped the external(and real)-me.
Smiling at me...

I´m simply too dumb to understand. Maybe it was a fake-friendship to an external... for what???
I´m so deeply hurt.

Ingo and I got into a fight over the (to me very, very messy and annoying) kitchen-table (since ages) and doors are shut.
I wanna run away.
To the ocean.

Technology-wise Ingo did a very great job, but...

Weekend. Don´t bother anyone. Or drive to the ocean and hope for a room - stupid.

It´s not all candy here.

I know others are off worse (teamleader), but the luxury-me is at the end now, too.

Family... a differnt story, I´m not involved.
"Self pity"... but our life is limited and no one here seems to get it.

No one cares.
(I miss my Mummy.)

Hello Good Bye

How come I totally forgot to post these springy-like pics taken last week?

I thought, geez, it´s way too cold to open up now, no?
But maybe the blossoms know better and spring is here!

It was 06:15 pm when I took off in Wolfsburg after a really, really stupid "seminar" on software testing.
Actually still not dark the sky was black, it was raining - partially heavily - where did spring go?

2-6C now. Will those blossoms survive?

Being nightblind the driving wasn´t easy, yet I enjoyed the SEAT.
Will bring him back after work.

I kinda get a tad bit of understanding why some peeps are willing to pay for some power in the car.

Hello, good bye.

In real life I just hope for Spring returning soon :-)

I Have An Eye On You...

So I took the León yesterday and drove to Bro´s place.
He was in total stress but appreciated Ingo´s pressie very, very much, who would´ve thought that?

An eye for an optometrist :-)

Or rather his customers.

After lunch we got the Big Niece from Kindergarten, waited for a very funny friend to help get some stuff from the new house to the rubbish dump and Big Niece certainly helped!

She is so mature already, where has the baby gone?

We also needed to get some tables for the Kindergarten flea market - Bro and family are big in the Seesen Musketeers, so we got them from their storage.

On seeing this...

... I asked, "how heavy is this to drag along?", on which she shortly thought about and answered, "depends on how much weight you put in there.".

Hello? She´s only six years old!
An expensive cable has been stolen. I asked, "who did this?!".
"A thief."

She got it all covered, huh.
Sadly missed Wee One, but the car is parked safely in a single one (oh, it was sooo much fun driving!).
I´d/´ll pay for every scratch.

One day I´ll either won´t need a car or OWN it - the latter I wouldn´t care about scratches and stuff.
Like the Italians... a car is for bringing you from A to B, that´s it.
Company/rental car... oh, go away...

You have to have an eye on it...

Good Life

Last week we went to Schnittchen for work-lunch.

A Schnittchen is a slice of bread or a breadroll made with love, kinda. They offer all kinds of handmade/homemade spreads.
The lunch, stated to taste like the best curry London-style was a fail, but the Schnittchen really are yummy.
I got one for dinner. It didn't make it till dinner (also because the curry.... gah).

Funny is "Ich schmier dir eins" means "I make one for ya" but "Ich schmier dir eine" threatens you a slap in the face ;-)

The first really goes for them, to make sure they have this message, too:

Let's see what we'll have for lunch in my old hometown.

The SEAT León and I, we take off soon :-)
And yes, I'm up early, why waste time, huh?
