Bees, Visit Me!

Teamleader T was right saying "don´t do anything".
My wood-strawberries survived winter-temps outside in their pods!! Who would´ve guessed that but him?

Well, likely all my (formerly) GDR-colleagues, as they had gardens in their schools where they learned to grow fruit and veggies.
Us "Wessis" did not learn anything considered "farming". You really cannot say everything was bad "behind the curtain".

Now all I need is warmth, sun ... and bees!

Last year there was one tiny wood-strawberry I shared with Ingo.

T´s Girlfriend... nothing new. I feel so sorry for him. He visits every day, yet he does not know if she realises he´s there.
Went through this with Mum for days - he has to find the strenght since weeks. I had Bro, too...
Now it´s the weekend again. No daily mail, I always feel bad, but he said "no private contact - it´s your holiday/weekend, don´t think of me, enjoy". Hard to do.

Spring?

The weather has cooled down again, 13C max.
VW has decided against me, not enough practice. Are you born with practice? Letting me hope for over a week.

12:15 app at dentist to get the crown, ahhhhh....

Ingo´s belly-button had some minor bleeding, please cross your fingers all is OK - actually he sees our doc today to get rid of the suture. I don´t see that.

Wee... the flower sure is better off, no? ;-)

Addendum: Paper from insurance isn´t there yet - no dentist until this happened.

Sister-Love

Went to Bro´s place yesterday and my name-Sister was wrong, Wee One remembered me!

Both needed some time to warm up to me but then were fine :-)
Wasn´t that warm but since Big Niece had had two portions of semolina pudding at kindy her sugar was very high (she was just diagnosed with diabetis 1), so Bro gave me the emergency-kit and sent me off with Niece for a brisk walk whilst he fetched Wee One from pre-kindy.

Ew. I was lucky nothing happened!
And it was easy, too. I told her I don´t know her village very well so she has to be my guide. At age six that still makes you proud, I found out :-)
When we passed a farm I said, "ewww, that smells bad!".
Niece: "Certainly it does, that is a farm with animals, you´re not in the city but in a village!"
Yup! Why am I saying that, right, it´s logical!

Niece needed to go, so we went home and luckily found the neighbour, who let us in.
When we were ready to go Bro and Wee One were there already, so into the garden we went.
So cute how Wee One adores her big Sis (mostly).

I didn´t try to mask their faces - I got raindrops on the lense :-(
But cute, huh, how Wee One tries to mirror her Sis.
Played "catch" with both - Wee One is easy to let her win, but Niece... so fast!!

Finally we went inside cause once the Sun is gone it´s still really cold.
Wee One can talk very well now, she´s grown so tall, it´s crazy! Last time I saw her in November!

This girl... got herself some pepper-left-overs and danced away in front of the mirror :-)

Later came up for a cuddle, asking to sit on my lap, so cute.
Asking me questions always saying my name correctly.
Her big Sis for a long time called me Isa.
Wee One also was very interested in a cut down tree in the garden, listening to my explanations, examining the moss very closely - guess they really are different even though they look so very much alike.

She´s also able to have some quiet time, like this (full pics again here, friends are welcome to register):

Painting Easter Eggs and then cutting them with the kid´s scissors - big girl (time so runs!!).:

The days are still short - I had a chance to talk to SIL and even join dinner, but had to leave before they finished.
Wee One certainly had to squeeze the liver sausage on my half of breadroll, cause she loooooves doing that! Also very proudly telling me she now has a kid´s knive! A knive!!!

She also explained to me with a serious face - out of the blue - that Omi and Opi are buried.
That there is just a grave to visit.
She´s not even three years old!!!
I said, "yes, they sadly had no chance to get to know you" to which she nodded with a serious face.
Cancer, you´re an ###!
Bro must do a great job involving our parents with the kids.

For good bye she hugged me tight, as did her Sis - and every one else.

Hopefully we won´t have such a huge gap till we meet next time.

One more note: Wee One warmed up faster than Niece. They ARE different in character.
Was a very fun arvo. And, wee, am I glad nothing happened with Niece! Every 10 minutes I measured her sugar and she didn´t even fuss about it.

Yay, Weather

The sun feels so good, spring is just the best, right after summer ;-)

Gone with the grey sky, the naked trees, back with the fun!

Well, mostly.
Around lunch time you find the guy usually awake, in the arvo he´s back to totally loosing it.

What a waste of a lifetime and no, I never tried to ask him what had happened.
Occasionally I see people talking to him, or trying to.

He must´ve chosen this way of living as in Germany no one is forced to live in the street if you stick to certain conditions.

I leave you with a nicer pic:

Soon again :-)

Perspective

A lille girl was sitting on the pavement drawing with chalk.
To this Ingo said to the dad, "she´s a genius, that´s our universe, a little Stephen Hawking already" :-)

BMW... used to be a good model. Those days are gone, sadly.

Funny was this:

This package of envelopes was open and one was missing - still same price!
Depends on the perspective, it´s still worth 1€, is it?
At least they´re honest, right?

They Dance Again

I said "let´s go for a walk" and we ended up in the city yesterday.

(Note the curtains)
Actually I wanted to visit today cause the shops are open, but the weather was better yesterday, so, good choice!

Nice to see the old cars, but I wonder!
It was 20+C and many were running around with winter-clothes still!
Well, running is the wrong word - they drove Ingo nuts walking very, VERY slow.

We opened season and A said upon Ingo´s order of two Märzen: "Really?! Oh, such a surprise :-)" aka he´d bring two anyways cause we never take anything different.

There was a boy of maybe 8 having his Mum´s smartphone, bending his neck it hurt just watching.
After about 30 minutes (or more?) he put his head up and said his neck hurts. Another surprise :-(

On the way home we found the dancers are back :-)
The good side of the year for sure is here!

Maybe A (Good) Sign

Heard nothing yesterday. Not from H, ITUC or boss, who wasn´t in, so I reckon the job is gone.
E learned Thursday from VW that they found "a way to manage the project without CGS (aka him), come April".
Hello?!
And T has a meet-up with boss and VW on April 12th after hours to discuss if he can do home-office.
Hello? So he does not see a soul at all, boss knows about the girlfriend - and T was supposed to be with us since mid-Feb anyways.
We´re no human beings, we´re "resources" to VW.

Sometimes I wonder... humanity, empathy... is it all gone.

Took a break and went to my dentist to get a form I have to deliver to my insurance and on the way back when I passed Henry I suddenly heard a "woooooshhhh".
Luckily had no cam with me cause he was still in the shadow, took one on my way to Lidl after work:

I kid you not, the water was turned on for this year at 10:00 am when I passed him!
A good sign maybe?

When I came home Ingo was there and managed to get the TV in the kitchen running (yes, we are that bad! We have no kids to distract us ;-)...).

Awww, spring:

First time out in Germany in a t-shirt this year!
A Perth-t-shirt, just as a statement;-)
