T STands For Too Yummy, Too Crazy

OK... here goes, don´t drool 😇

Journal:

Monday: Chinese Ramen with Gilmore Girls & Chopsticks, walked A.Lot and made sport later.

Tuesday: Baked ..

 ... and you have...

Hmmmm, came out great. Loads of  cheese... and sport.

Wednesday: sport and parcel for the Nieces - wee one´s Birthday today!!
(My art-add)

Crazy to write my surname after another female´s name still....
(My SIL has a double name and ... well. We don´t get along that good).

Announced the parcel at Bro´s and said I braved up and worked with 350C / 662F for it.
If I baked briquettes for her?! 🤣
OK. Afraid-of-heat-me explained what embossing is, right?

Thursday: toc-toc... the maintainance-guy cleans the hall, for everyone to hear, bumping at doors and all. Laundry dry and apart from sport I had 7 calls from my real estate guy.
Seven! The bill from my half-cousin for my tenant was... wrong!!!!

Yesterday... WhatsApp from Bro.
Half-Cousin spoke on HIS machine (different cities even!!!) complaining that ... Cuckoo-CUCKOO!
And what did HE do?! Called back and got the secretary who knew of nothing but said half-cousin will call me back... PLEASE, NOOOO....  I´m SO done.
Renting out and working with incompetent people is no fun. At all.

Friday: off to the city to get pressies as thank you for my real-estate man.
He´d called me another three times and wants no money for correcting the bill. I asked, "sweet or salty?" - he went for salty. Off to the Braunschweig-shop!

And I bought another tree books! As if I don´t have more than enough books anyways!!!

The ones to the side are crime stories, just novels, but based on Braunschweig.
The one in the middle. Cruel and sadly real crime stories.
They always remind me to not take lonely routes and take pepper foam with me.

Later: great movie.

Saturday: Ingo went grocery shopping and we made yummy Goulash (see pic #2) with red wine from scratch. Read more of Bill Bryson´s journey throughout Australia, sweet memories.

Sunday: After Die Maus Bill Bryson again.

As this is for Elizabeth´s "T Stands For Tuesday"...

Henry 🦁... is a bit puffed...

... he has no idea if he´s the kid or the Dad! The answer is ... of course:

Hi From Hamburg(er)

Mural found in Hamburger Street in Braunschweig - on the way back from a game of the Braunschweig Lions, now sadly named New Yorker Lions, after their sponsor.

This certainly was pre-Corinna, will we be able to visit next season, who knows...

.... and think positive. Artists likely students again - as usual there was no signature and who knows if it´s still there anyways.

Henry 🦁

He looks forward in a positive way, of course.

True

Tom made me think of this.

What You Want - What You Get

This sums my shit#y life up.

WORK - WORK -WORK.

That´s all what counts for Ingo.
And I am "disabled" on that front, only have the reflection on what was.

(NOT FAIR ON THOSE WHO REALLY LOST THEIR ABILITY TO WALK, I KNOW - but I feel this way since THREE YEARS - first year doctors made me sick (citalopram, opipram  - cortisone), then Corinna showed up - yes, sounds like I give anyone else ... oh, forget it.).

This pic shows my life. See last post. Feels like...

I don´t want any "sorry"s, I just need to get it out.
When you "promise" me (again) you lie down, exhausted from work, for ONE hour, and after four hours you´re still not back, I´m HURT, as Henry, who stays in his cave today.

Another day down the drain.

20C. Off I am soon.
I can be there when his life is down.
Me... I´m on my own.

Coffee Is Ready - By Myself

If you wanna hear some Austrian song...

Ingo once turned it on loud to to let me know, well, coffee is ready.
I had to listen twice, that accent.... meeep?

He uses words like "zärtlich" but pronounces it so... as in

"is det nich ungloblich zärtliiich"  (Austrian)
"ist das nicht unglaublich zärtlich" (German)

... it means "affectionate", "klingt das nich ongloblich lieb" ??? - Yes, that is lovely. Once, you get it.
The rest I had to listen three times to - I would´ve been thankful for subtitles!!

But I got the message... coffee is ready - and made with love 🥰

I have relatives in Switzerland. Jooo. Difficult, if they speak fast. Haven´t sadly met them in ages...

"Ongloblich".
And we are called as#holes cause we speak "pure" German in Lower Saxony.
Hey, we grow up with that!

Ingo sneaked in this...

And milk.

Crazy enough, the day I thought of this song was a day after (I had no idea) was "the day of coffee".
Scary, huh?

Henry 🦁

Sees how life goes down the drain.

Well, first pic Henry, serving the coffee.
Life would be if next pic would be real.

I´m no worth without work.
It hurts so much.
Coffee anyone ....

Was to snuggle up, but there was no one there.
I´m worthless.

Best Exotic Movie

The "Best Exotic Marigold Hotel" is a wonderful movie, whitty, funny, sad, I laughed, I cried.

I saw myself in 30 years and HOPE I´ll be fun then. If alone. Or not? What is the movie about?
Trying. And succeeding, no matter how bad times go.
A group of retirees - strangers - go to an Indian Hotel that just opened up with hard difficulties.

The movie is...
Of being kind and not even knowing you are.
Of panicking, of making up.
Of braving up.
Trust.
Caring for one each other.
Even if you are actually "strangers".

I wanted to give it to the red phone booth, to the students.
But I think I´ll keep it for real dark days.

It´s about life. We have but ONE.

I wanna see "the top of the mountain". Be free. take off, FLY.
(I love Ingo and but Ingo, don´t get me wrong).

I had nice Indian colleagues, male and female 😘
We worked side by side and shared home-made food on Birthdays.
Chatted.
Sadly it was not enough for friendships.

It´s about  loyalty.

The woman who lost her Hubby ends with these words:

The only real failure is the failure to try - and the measure of success is how we cope with disappointment - as we always must. We came here  - and we tried.
All of us, in our different ways....
Too scared of disappointment.
We get up in the morning, we do our best.
Nothing else matters.

And the movie has a happy ending.
And it´s so British and wise.

The person who risks nothing - does nothing - has nothing.
All we know about the future is  that it will be different.

Perhaps, what we fear is that it will be the same.
So we must celebrate the changes.
Because as someone once said: Everything will be allright in the end.
And if it´s not allright - impressed me, it´s not yet the end...

A wonderful, clever movie, ... speaking of last post... it was British English and funny to hear.
Tea-time with milk, of course 😁

Henry 🦁

He would love to meet these people and places!
I never stopped a movie so often to write down what I hear / listen to.
Reckon I´ll have to watch it again, but I really wanted to share, and have the words also for myself...

Corinna & Chefs

Just watched "Kitchen Impossible 2020" with / by Tim Mälzer.
Who, btw learned from Gennaro Contaldo and is friends with Jamie Oliver.
My age, from Pinneberg where I had my first a-bit-real lover (not "him", that guy was older).

A group of chefs talking about their business in Corinna-times.

Believe me, I was in tears at times. I laughed in pride cause...

DISTANCE!!!! He got it.
But with our minds, hearts and souls we come near, there is the same fear, the same "not"-understanding, disbelieve - who ever thought how long this will go?!

Especially in that sector... people eat.
People want to go out, not cooking themselves (Ingo and I do that very rarely, dining out, we cook at home, also pre-Corinna).

Restaurants had to close.

They found other solutions.

Be it Take away (we helped and tried) or... saying good-bye to staff (happened to me in Diesel-affair).

A bitter, bitter (-sweet) docu.
A docu how people stick together in real bad times.

It showed, too, it´s not only I think so, ALL think and DO so!

Same in your place?
In real life we keep a huge distance (haha, Corinna, you do not get us this way!!!)  but inside we are near, we care, we are more friendly.
So many businesses, be it restaurants  or others, had to close down for good.

Braunschweig in some places is a Ghost-City and it breaks my heart.

I think (? great way, NOT) we are allowed without masks in the streets.

But people buy via amazon & Co anyways.

I still try to buy local, the more it hurts to see all that.

One point in the docu and our lives  was: We cannot rely on politics.

Yes, we need to think OURSELVES!!!

At one point, three times ... four times Tim Mälzer screamed ABSTAND!!!! (DISTANCE!!!)

And see why I "love" this guy?
He explained "... die Kollegen" .. not "Kolleginnen and Kollegen".
Oh, same age.

One chef even said "Corinna"!!!
We need to keep our humor.

Henry 🦁

My onion cake came out great, btw.
And I bought local.

And...

 It´s October already.

And what happened? I got up not 06:25, but 05:25 and didn´t realize it.

And P.S. ... some of you got me wrong. I don´t use subtitles, watching "English" movies, be it AE or Aussie-English, I get that... Even the British 😉
I tried German subtitles in a French movie, but as I still speak a bit of French my brain got confused, trying listening and reading. I switched to German altogether (no subtitles, translated).
With Italian it worked as I don´t speak any - it was in Broome, so subtitles were English indeed. After 60 seconds I just watched a movie 😁 The brain really is a weirdo. A clever one at times.
