Mine!

It is mine! If you play hangman... my first name does fit! And yes, I was born in January (not today).
Sorry to bother you again with The Simpsons... But they so fit!!!!

Yes, two posts again today, and please... if you care about respect, have a look here... or just scroll down. Maybe you can share your thoughts there...

Henry 🦁

The Simpsons - they are everywhere!

Respect

Where to start?

Fellow, dear blogger Divers and Sundry made me think with this of how good the times were back then - please have a look if you like and let me know what you think before you go on...

Now, have you taken a peek? How respectful people were towards the police...
Pic above is my Father In Law´s shirt.

In his "younger" years he was a police officer.
He was in his 40´s already and went to a police-swimming contest.

Younger guys  got mean.
Mean as you got in the day back then:
"What is Granpa doing here?!"

Well, guess. He "took a bath and" won.

Dare to go swimming with Ingo - he is as good...
If we could. I MISS swimming sooooo much!!
Yes, we have - I think? - public pools. But they are not really clean. Not to my standard...
The ocean would be great. Too far away. And TOO COLD!

We met by chance on a Sunday-walk in Bornhausen or Rhüden... what else?!
We still had a weekend-relationship back then and I was in Ingo´s place.

When FIL gave up running due to his hip he went on the bike!
Wish Ingo was more sportive, too, but times have changed...

FIL as commissioner investigated in later years in my parent´s place and found out who the thief was - I met my future FIL at age 14!!!
And Ingo, who met up with my Dad as well to watch the stars.

8 years make a HUGE difference at that age...

Anyhows... RESPECT.

We have not much left here, see this sad video below.
I know it´s likely the same in your place but I fail to understand!!!
People are there to HELP you...
This video is 2:22 minutes.
Rescue workers have to endure not only insults and threats...

You find "ACAB" as graffiti everywhere here.
Your lille push-bike gets stolen? "Who ya gonna call" - the Ghost Busters or "the cops"?

You fall, need help, oh, Ambulance is a good idea. Otherwise.. beat them up.

I had to bring Ingo to Joondalup/Perth-hospital and later asked my friend H, who is a nurse, why there is security... now I know...

I am glad Ingo is too old for working as a firefighter now!!!
You wonder what is the real danger... fire or people?

Henry 🦁

Please. Can someone explain the hate to me???
Helpers get attacked.
What a world...

Addendum. Fellow blogger Life in New Zealand gave me a guess.
Maybe it is jealousy???
Because those people have no skills at all, no perspective and are too dumb to learn?
Whose failure is it then?
Politics (again)?

IF... if... so many ifs... I was younger and it all would be better I would love to be a teacher.
I learned from the best (Peter May) and some of you! And teamleaders, colleagues, I taught some, too, and they said I am good at that. They said "thank you".

BUT!
It´s not only "migrated" kids do not speak German, they have no respect.
Teachers get attacked as well.
And that continues to their adult life, of course (not ALL, but too many).

Jealousy.
And with dumbness/lack of knowledge comes... hate and aggression.

PriceLESS

Pic from 2019, the last time we were in Perth... I took but the pic and many more here:

This is the Christmas Market in Braunschweig, as some of you asked for it - this is part#1 (I didn´t want to bore you to death - #2 might be nicer as darker, too)...

It was the last day, as I was/am sick, December 29th. We went early to avoid the crazy masses of people...
Sadly that leaves us without the fancy lights in the dark...

Ingo has no patience for all this...

More to come in #2...

We didn´t join. Not on an empty stomach!!!!

Swarovski! And Henry in the background.
I used to think this was special. But we have Swarovski in our "castle" now, saw it in Italy, Perth.... and now here! I have enough jewelry and since I work from home... and Ingo does not see such changes it´s no use wasting money or finding out if it´s even real.

But it brought back sweet memories! THAT´s what counts, huh?

We didn´t try and ended, as mentioned before, at Mc Donald´s!
Three very fatty, mini-little horse-sausages for €3.
The price didn´t even matter that much, but Ingo has to be careful with fat.

Prices. well...
You have to understand: First Christmas Market after COVID. They all lost big in those years...
Yet, we did, also...

I was dressed properly and wore many a layer - no one but Ingo saw that of course (and you now - wow, I look like the Michelin-man, LOL!!!!)

But I was all warm (had to go very slow):

Henry 🦁

Looking down on his Christmas Market (better pics to come as it was getting dark on my second visit that day).
This is for Tom´s Signs2, of course.

(Can You) Laugh About Yourself (?)

Duuuuuuhhhh.... The answer is in mini-mini-font upside down on the front-page!!!

I am old. I only saw it now, my eyes are weak!
Clever. As in "The Simpsons"!

Henry 🦁

Yes, two posts, as I join Elizabeth here, of course, but I couldn´t help myself!!!!
It took me TWO days to find out!!! Oh, boy!!! 🤣😂😂

T STands For SalT

Whilst I got a thank-you-card from my company Ingo got a parcel from his company, amongst other, gingerbread!
In front of  a fully sneezed tissue he gave me mulled wine and a gingerbread-heart.

Last journal pages of a wonderful year, if you like:

Monday: Ingo decided he still has to ignore me (feelings can be weird). I watched fairy tales.
Learned a lot about salt.
No salt, no life.

King in a fairy tale  asks his three daughters why they love him and what they would represent the love with. Best answer > queen.
Gold, diamonds... third one said salt. He threw her out. More than once. Like me, she believed in love. In the end she is the queen. Because the King had to learn: No salt, no life.

Tuesday: Still coughing  and.. sick. Ingo: door closed.
Dreamed I jumped with heavy winter-clothes on in cold River Oker and drowned.
It was so peaceful.
How do YOU handle life?

Wednesday: Slept till lunchtime again.
Other all good again. Apart from health.

Watched (sadly in German) The never Ending Story.

"Never give up, you´ll always have a friend."
Was SO hungry, but´d brushed my teeth already.
Also after near to no eating for 1 1/2 days you should not overdo it, right.
OK, I admit. I was too lazy to brush my teeth one more time...

Thursday: Went to the Christmas Market (pics to come) - last day! And where did we end up for lunch?
Maccas!!! Yes, Mc Donald´s!!!! Cause on the market everything was un-yummy or super-expensive. We roamed the city.... Maccas... To you, Mum (she had to leave us 2011 on this day).
BUT I got the BEST licorice at one stand. Hmmmmm.....

So. I went again. 3 weeks at home (no moving) and then twice to the city on foot.
Talked to three strangers, happy times! (post to come - shy friends, please hop on).
Licorice and four heavy books...

Friday: Stayed in bed till lunch. Everything hurt. Nose running, coughing etc, etc.
I never learn.
I think I´m better and give more than 100% forgetting I´m not 20 anymore - BOOM.

Ingo helped big, got me food I got down and certainly told me off (rightfully, too).
Promised I´ll take it slow, but  really... I wanted to do SO MUCH in these "holidays".

Weekend:
Saturday: I was still sick and slept in till lunchtime. ACK!!! Forced a Bifi-roll down, got better.
Evening half a sandwich and then Ingo´s chair got thrown out of the kitchen!

For two days it lived by my Spock-chair so we could watch movies on my PC (the TV is not available as my work-gear is in front) - Indiana Jones it was - DVD aka in the original hurray, then bed.
We are old, LOL. Ear-protection against fireworks.

Sunday: On the way up!! Could eat! But we forgot about Die Maus!!! Still tired and Galileo showed the best pics of 2022.
Made Ingo´s work-food (brunch and lunch).
Food-wise nothing more than half a sandwich for me.

Take it slow, huh?

A Tough 2023 (Not For Einstein, The Northern Sea ...etc)

I do know I´m a tad late.
But since our host Sami is on holiday... aren´t these a biiiiit mural-like?
As in "no pressure, I join a bit still"?

So here goes:

Boy-oh-boy.
Sealed calendars, don´t you hate them? Could see it´s in the original. yepeeee!

Last year I bought this one (well, this is the new one!):

Easy. You get a question, right:

Well, turn it around and get the answer (after some guessing, right?):

We are 39.

Well, The Simpsons?!

No answer on the back and to top this!!!!
We only get the German versions on TV!!!

Luckily we have internet, right!

Out of the blue I said c) and Ingo had the same guess.

Off to find out. But here it isn´t given away - do you know?
HELP is ALWAYS welcome!!!!
No worries I will not bother you each and every day 😉

If you do, what calendars do you have?

Oh, wait!!! There is more!

Did you spot our Bunny?
And for Ingo:

Last not least (sorry, there will be the journal)!

Awwwww, no?

As Ingo does not like us, we hide in the dark. He will never find us here!!!

Maybe he falls in love with us?

Henry 🦁

2023 will be a task! Einstein and The Simpsons... here we go!
