Just Royal

With my name being translated "Emperor" I should get this one for free, no? ;-)

But since I´m...

German, they refused I didn´t ask.
Our first week of holiday was full of action.
Here you see Ingo in front of (another) Henry The Lion and behind him "chimney" called "Long Henry".

And I can tell you where you should skip that name, too.

It was a hot day, too hot for me now, still we hopped on the bikes for a tour. We arrived at a lake and I said to Ingo, I gotta go in, at least with my feet, otherwise I pass out!

Yikes!!!! It was smelling so darn bad - and there were people swimming in it!

We left, reached the next lake and... Well, Ingo put his bike aside, put off his clothes and went in. As did I, what chance did I have? We had arrived at a "Nacktbadestrand", Naturism-lake.
(Just don´t mention "long Henry" there, they might get you wrong...)
Actually, as far as I knew, this was a typical East-German thing to do. But I knew Ingo´s parents were into it back then, too.
Call me old fashioned, I thought it was kinda weird.

(a different lake, certainly ;-)...)

I have to say, though, it´s a great community and you´re accepted at once.
You can leave your bags (with money, keys and all) and someone has an eye on it and yes, there were thieves around, too! Who had no chance. They had clothes on, how suspicious! ;-)

Being allergic to the sun - and failing to stand the heat with coming years (sadly), I was in the water all the time.
Playing ball. With a woman my age and a friendly old man.

Police on horses came by, too...

We went there three times and even kinda made "friends", as said, great community, but still very akward to me.

I also found it kinda weird to find good-looking. young single-men there.
Coming up, talking to me like, "yeah, not easy getting into the cold water. I´ll just jump now, you joining in?"
And he was just friendly, having seen Ingo and I holding hands.

Well, apart from all the lush, green nature and beautiful lakes...

(with my bike in the pic!)

...we also saw a great old car:

Don´t wanna know what that car "eats", but cool it looks, huh?

This one´s turned out kinda arty, no? That´s me in the rim (ok, was by chance, I admit):

Enough for now, coming up with more pics, soon.

Second week felt like "burn-out", now we´re recovering, next week back to work.
