Manners?

Neat shirt, nice manners, this guy has it.
At times, at least ;-)

Where I was today it was different.
At times...

The first taxi driver took a wrong route, but we had a nice chat, the price was the same as usual and since he was too early (what else) I was in the doc´s office at 10, x-ray already taken.
There William Shatner told me about his life for some whopping 40 minutes, that´s how long it took till the doc was there.
3 minutes later and after a misunderstanding about shoes - he´s from India and his German is a tad.... unclear - he was out and I´m signed sick for two more weeks.

And for the paper I had to wait.
The waiting room was full. Outside people were sitting and standing - all seats already taken.
Right across sat a young couple, only one being sick.

Call me old fashioned, but actually I expected the guy to give me his seat - very obviously I have a problem standing atm.
But, well, how to put it... some people don´t get up for a German, especially for a German woman.

After some 10 minutes a guy left the waiting room and offered me his seat.
When I sat down I got no clue how he even saw me - the coat- and magazine-rack and flowers were in the way.
It must´ve been easier for the mother in her 40´s who accompanied her daughter to spot me. But, noooo...

Mind you, when I was 18 I broke my arm and went to the doctors alone.
This girl talked to her mother in a way mine would´ve told me off - and, as she loudly announced - she was 20 "and can decide this for myself!!!".
Hello? She could walk as well.

Half of the people weren´t sick but waiting with their partner, too - I just don´t get it.
How dependent are people these days? Who wants to sit in a sticky, hot room with caughing, sneezing, loud people?

At least some - ok one - got the principle and offered his seat to the next woman on crutches.

The shirt btw, maybe you´d like a closer look:

I waited some 30 minutes for the receipt!
And was entertained by "name - room 3!" - "name, room 1!" and so on. How about Mr./Mrs and please? Does that really hurt and take so much longer?

The taxi driver got out of the car to open the door for me and help me in - usually they open the door from inside.
To swing music he drove me home.
And then. He farted.
This isn´t my day! I mean, uhhhh!
Remember? Winter over here, windows closed!
If I were in a Simpson´s-episode he at least would´ve turned up the volume...

It really ruined the "adventure" of getting out of the house for a change.
This is what Ingo did on Saturday as well, getting out, and came home with this shirt.

And two of these :-)

Sadly unisex-style, but clever done, anyways, huh, thanks, man!
Coming home with pressies - that´s having good manners!
Now, when´s summer? Ha-ha.
Really, the hardest winter and I have to drive to work each day.
Now... mildest winter, no snow, no ice - and I can stay home.
Bad timing.

Funny also: I have to come back to the doc next Monday at 10:30. The always unfriendly receptionist keeps telling people they don´t make dates, come and wait. Huh?
Aw, well. 2 more weeks.

People have no manners nowadays! Gone are the days when we were taught to give our seat to an elderly person, pregnant or sick person. I have noticed on the buses here I have given my seat to older people while teenagers just continue sitting down and ignoring the situation!
Hope that after these 2 weeks you are fit an healthy to go back to work, must be getting boring now.

But there are signs saying "priority seating" everywhere, no?
Sad to know it´s our generation raising those kids (well, not me, but you know wht I mean).
Oh, yes. I am sure bored! Cause I still can´t walk I just sit here all day long, back hurts already...
But I am lucky I just got this splint no casting!

2 weeks it will be, Grace. But I guess if the pain gets less it will be like a little "holiday", if I can do things.
Ack, and so many people behave bad also out of the doctor´s office, you can´t compare it to Perth...
