Pass And Take - Don´t Eat Parsley

You know that joke, "Don´t eat parsley... just for good looking"?
We´ll make Königsberger Klopse today and Ingo added to the recipe: "Parsley, frozen".

So, as we can only go single-shopping I went. Got all we need and wanted to get Parsley last.
A man stood in front, looking for something.
Small aisles,  everyone has to have a trolley, it´s SO annoying!

He sees me, steps to the back and in a friendly voice  says, "you can pass".
Me... "ummm, thanks, but I need parsley".

We are supposed to have a distance of 1,50m, but he stepped forward again, opened the door and handed me the parsley 😁
I think we both grinned, our eyes wrinkled.

Boy, oh boy. One day we will look back and shake our heads about trolleys each, masks and hidden smiles BUT:

Corinna makes us all more friendly!

On my way home...

People do stuff for each other. I left the apple of course, but then!!!!

It´s not a Nicer Dicer, but... look, it was in here:

I also took these:

Purse was calling, "take me!" I later saw why, as the Multihacker....

All things broken end up with me, but hey, someone needs to take care of them, right.

And it´s so nice, you rarely found free give-aways (I joined often with my pre-loved stuff) but thanks to Corinna and peeps staying home you find them EVERYWHERE.

People turn friendly and caring in this darn crisis.

Henry 🦁... he feels like he´s...

Not only of furniture and kitchens but of life.
Maybe we needed Corinna. To remember we´re  a community.

Really, is it just me or do you experience this, too?
People are friendly, helpful, nicer than before. I bet before this I´d had to wait till the man was done and get my parsley myself.

It was a gesture that took 10 seconds but it took me a while to take a pic, edit and tell you. And you a while to read this. It was worth it, maybe brought a smile to your face, too...

Plus...  WA is on TV!!!

Imagine that! WA on your TV, that's cool Iris. If people are being kinder to each other that's such a huge positive that will hopefully continue 💙

Oh, I get soooo "home-sick". All the red.

You find some of the best things. I guess in the city it is more likely than in the country. Happy April Iris.

A friendly gesture indeed. I also find people have become kinder.
You should start a "Buy Nothing Group" on Facebook for your neighbourhood Iris, then people can donate what they no longer want.
Why was WA on TV?

I would agree about people being kinder in general (unless they are total idiots who mask shame and refuse to keep distance, even if you ask nicely). But most are better. I hope they stay that way!

Being nice and kind can have a ripple effect.
Sunny and 10c today, a good day indeed. :)

I didn't even realize you could buy frozen parsley!

That was a nice gesture. We noticed when we got to Ireland (7 years ago tomorrow!) that people were really extremely nice and friendly, so it's just pretty normal here. But we have lived in very rural areas, so not sure what it would be like in a larger city.

We have been thinking of putting a box of books outside with a 'free' sign--they are stacking up! But we don't really have have many days without rain, so we will wait a while. Nice that people can find stuff they can use!

People just give away what they don't want? On the street? They don't do that here at all. There aren't even any second hand shops, but we have a flea market on a Sunday at the edge of town. I don't know if it is still going now with Corinna as people can't travel far.
The multihacker looks great, even if it has a crack. It probably still works. I like the purse. And I like henry winking at me from the blue van.
Have a lovely weekend,
Hugs,
lisca

Bill, hope for the effect staying on... and weather getting nicer ;-)

_____

Jeff... huh? You can´t? Dill, too.Ummm, all that stuff, frozen. (Olaf comes to mind)

Shari, oh, that´s an anniversary then!
Braunschweig is a large city, but our "quarter" is like a village - all I wanted (city) and Ingo (tiny place).

Yes, no-rainy-days only!

______

Lisca, yes, we do it that way. More to come, too!
Right, flea markets might be closed here also.
I need to check out the hacker! Henry sure was happy to welcome them all - to a wonderful Easter weekend! Hugs from here xx

That's a nice thing for him to have done for you, I think covid has hopefully made the human race a little bit kinder to each other.

Frozen parsley?
FROZEN!
Fresh is so much better, take it home, chop it up, add to almost anything. And parsley is not just for garnish, for decoration, you should eat it too when it is on your plate. It helps to freshen the breath and aids digestion as well as being rich in iron.

Amy, yes, if that´s ONE good thing it maybe was a bit worth it... In the long run.

River, funny you! Try to have fresh parsley in winter/spring in Germany.
I loooove fresh parsley and have it in summer. But now... too expensive.
