1995 and 1999 we took this one to Australia.
2006 I bought this model and yes, we also were in Mt Isa 😁
Maybe you remember in the movie Rain Man Raymond claims he´ll only fly with QANTAS as they never had a serious accident!
Sadly they got first very expensive and since a couple of years don´t fly Frankfurt/Germany anymore, so we waited for friends coming in with Singapore Airlines. Also a fine company.
If you want to I posted their security video here, it´s fantastic!
The journal, if you like again:
Monday: Took the bike, that lives in the living room for now, for visiting the doc, had to walk three flies of stairs twice cause on the phone they did not say you need an FP2 mask (which I DO have at home!) - boy....
Met W and we talked like for an hour+. He misses his late wife so badly.
But he keeps himself busy. Meets people. Gardening...
I sadly don´t have so much time no more.
Later meetings, then time on the balcony.
Tuesday: Sore muscles, ewww. Forced myself on foot to the city to find a balance to my body.
Ended up at the most dangerous store - on purpose even, see here, if you like....
Wednesday: Summer went on vacation 😭 Henry came in for the rescue (jumper).
German summers suck, I started cleaning a bit and was sooooo tired.
Thursday: I love rain, but not cold one in summer.
Stayed inside, too tired for sport, just reading - was enough after all those meetings again.
Friday: For crying out loud!!!! The translation company not only messed up the file structure and does not react on my requests to do the job backwards properly... they send ... argh.
Was called I work too much, hence quit at lunch and got the condo done properly with GOOD MUSIC! The BOSE are so wonderful, my right ear is HAPPY!!!
Weekend: Went to Guido´s to order a take-away pizza and dared Graff again to get a proper bag for our friends from Perth who lived here in Braunschweig before.
Certainly also got two Braunschweig-books. No surprise on that front!
Sunday after Die Maus we met with our friends. We last saw each other 2019!!!!
It was fun and I enjoyed so much I didn´t even take pics. Live in the moment, right?
As for Elizabeth´s T:
And certainly you have to eat as well, right. Sometimes it´s boring fast food:

What do you do for a little break?
22 comments:
My little breaks used to consist of climbing high hills and sitting up there in the peace and quiet. Now I just sit in the garden and daydream :)
For a little break I close my eyes for twenty minutes. I used to read a book, but now I just walk around the room, then close my eyes.
Funny you two. I speak of 5 minutes, as long as others smoke a ciggie ;-)
Yours sound more relaxing, though! And more healthy, too!
No job for me -- so I don't know the difference between working and breaks. I did do 4 loads of laundry yesterday, including the linens, so I guess that was work. And I kept reading a long book so I guess that was a break. Or the other way around.
best... mae at maefood.blogspot.com
Mae :-)
Work out fine, LOL!
My breaks would be a walk.
A walk is great (but too long here).
A book is my break activity.
I love that you take a book break! And I also love how we now see your art. I remember when we didn't -- and then occasional drawings from your figure drawing class long before, if I remember right. And now look at you -- chronicling your life delightfully! (I liked the cat with the sore muscles!) I'm so glad! Have a wonderful time with friends.
i would often take a book to lunch but a break nowadays i hate to say but would probably be with my phone.. I have a coloring book program i enjoy.. Love all your sketches Iris.Happy happy T day! Hugs! deb
For a little break I call my kids. I really love your day by day book. The coffee looks good. Hmmm fast food, I never eat it. Have a great day Iris.
Any little break can calm the mind and body. I tend to either read or just sit in my backyard and enjoy watching the birds:). So glad you got to see some friends after so long. Great diary pages of your full week! Hope you have a relaxing weekend. Happy T day!
Sitting down at the beach and watching the tides and birds, that is my break when I need it.
The safety video of Singapore Airlines is great - so creative. I love Singapore Airlines - I flew with them when I went to live in Taiwan in 1983. At that time there were no direct flights, we had stopovers in Bahrain and Bangkok before we landed in Singapore where the airline had booked and paid a hotel for me since my connecting flight (via Hong Kong to Taipei) didn't leave before the next day. Flights weren't full either and as a the only single traveling woman I got the full attention. Great experience.
Enjoy the time with your friends!
I read a book.
I enjoyed reading your calendar again. I also loved the drawing of the Qantas. For you it may be cold, for me it is perfect weather.
Hope you, Ingo, Sami, and Jose had a great time together. I know you were looking forward to her visit.
It's nice to have coffee at work. Your breakfast wrap looks good. Where I worked, we were only allowed cigarette breaks when we got our 15 minute break each morning, afternoon, or at lunch. No sneaking a smoke while on the clock.
Thanks for sharing your calendar, yoour beautiful drawings, and your coffee with us for T this Tuesday, Iris. Did Sami take photos?
It been ages since I dusted. I have a job and that my story.
Coffee is on and stay safe
I'm glad your friends made it to Germany OK and you get to spend some time with them. And you have some fun drawings in your journal. Like that scream. You really do draw so well, better than me I think. Not that I draw all that well, but my doodles are passable. And yours are good. I hope you get to see your friends some more, and that you had a great T day. hugs-Erika
I love walking when the weather isn't hot or cold. I just love walking and looking at the trees, listening to the birds. That is my get away. I also read a lot. Happy T Day!
So nice that you got to see your friends after such a busy work week. I'm sure W appreciates the fact you spend some time with him. I play on the computer or watch TV when I take a break. Happy T Day
I just love your drawings. They are getting better and better.
What did you buy in the most dangerous store?
I had to laugh at the cat with the Muskel-kater!
I'm sorry it is still so cold where you are. Here it has been (and still is) sooo hot! We sleep naked on the bed with the fan on and still it's hot.
Time with friends! Isn't that great! I'm so glad you had a good time together after all this time.
I used to do crochet back in the days (I'm talking seventies when I worked in the hospital in Italy) on my break. It was very fine work, so it fitted in my pocket. I would join all the others that didn't smoke. They taught me to crochet.
A Belated happy T-Day to you,
Hugs,
Lisca
GREAT DRAWINGS I LOVED SO MUCH
