T-STands For ChaoTic

A tad too sweet, but a warming drink with which I join Elizabeth´s T.
And, as you can see, teapot always ready, yikes, glad summer starts next week for us!!! I am sick of the cold!

The journal:

Monday: LOL. Saw C - with whom I had a project - is online shortly after 06:00 a.m.
Thought he is at the customer and wondered why he is "green" in ESE-teams, contacted him.
Kaboom, he called, added W, nice long chat - socializing, right?
THAT is a good start to the week! 🥰
Sadly both confirmed Alstom Salzgitter is in big trouble...
Later looong chat with fK. And also J has had it with mK now.
It´s Kindergarten with him. It´s J´s "ball" now. I do as told and don´t waste brain into this anymore.
Bro called again 🥰

Tuesday: fK and admin T (aT) tried to help me with my trouble with mK (who started all over causing troubles).
Nobody likes him, it is weird. No one stands up against him, either.
aT found VERY clear words (he knows him personally, too).
fK said, that´s what friends are for and I just do know without questioning anymore, except... executive H said, "WHY did you do that? It´s IT´s job!!!" So at least "high up" someone is aware of the nonsense that dude mK causes.
I SO want ESE to keep me I need to explain myself. Right? mK pretends he is dead still.
Kindy! He has no guts.

Wrote to fK: "Boah, such a waste of time!!" - autocorrect made it "Bochum, such a waste of time!!" 🤣

Bochum is a mining-town in the west near Düsseldorf. LOL! My T found the book "Autocorrect-Fails" and will give it back to me - happy times to come!" Herbert Grönemeyer is one of the very few German singers/songwriters I really like.

Ingo let me know there is a docu on the MV Gustloff. 2000 people the ship was supposed to take.

In the weird WWII they wanted to  take 8000+.
In the end 10 000 they took.
"The Russians" knew there were refugees on her and shot her to sink.
Biggest tragedy in ship history,  6 times more people than on the titanic.
My Granma had decided: We stick together in the frickin´ cold with the Russians on the way and wait for the next ship, this one is full.
Go figure. I learned this in a side-note.
Thanks to her wisdom I exist.

Wednesday: fK and aT (admin T) gave me advise on how to handle mK again, we changed the course.
aT: "Do it NOW. Else it will bug you all afternoon!"  - "Nah, I´ll watch 'Ghost Whisperer' in the original :-)" - "Oh, the one with Jennifer Love Hewitt?"
I LOVE men who watch and admit they do watch such "women-stuff". Same with Gilmore Girls (Ingo liked, too), also he likes truffle. And Keanu Reaves. He must be my secret Brother! It´s the one who takes care of Great-Granpa, aka my Aussie-Lenovo.
Did I ever mention I love my work and colleagues (minus one)?

Thursday: aT and fK really do care in so many ways! Not only because of stupid mK, aT knows my cam broke and really tries to find me a good one for Perth!
Doorbell.
I admit!!!! It´s cold, I´m in my grey PJs with the white and pink hearts again.
Doorbell!!! Where are my jeans?????? Panic-mode. Biberpost.
Doorbell!!! What the heck does Ingo order all the time?" Postman, two packages!
I am ALWAYS afraid now a police officer will stand there, tell me to get dressed and out as the house is on fire!!!! Or worse, a firefighter!
Summer, please, I want summer, then I´m properly in a skirt!
I should always grab purse and keys and phone when the doorbell rings - or is that too much panic?
fK had a very important work-date and kept me up to date - we are there for each other. She said she likes to be my friend 🥰
aT asked when I´m at aab16 - I think Germans like abbreviations? 😉
aab16 stands for "Am Alten Bahnhof 16", where our company sits.

Friday: Got a lot done at work, had a nice chat with fK, with aT.
Ingo went to the city and when he was out the door I thought, "gaaaaah! I should´ve asked for a dish from NAMASTE!".
Phone, Ingo, "want something from NAMASTE?" - Best birthday-pressie ever! Not only because it was yummy, but because it shows: Ingo cares!
Bro called, later Bro again with the Nieces, too.

Ingo also said he hopes I do not snore - last time I snored so slow he was wondering how I can breathe that long 🤣 Embarrassing and funny. Obviously I´m sportive with huge lungs.

Weekend: Saturday: INGO!!!!! Phone: "now what would you like from NAMASTE? I hand you over to the chef." - Boom, I talk to them personally via phone!!
Am I thankful there was/is COVID and I hence learned to communicate without seeing people, even if they have an accent! It was just a mini-accent, but... I´m really not good with that (hello Australia, here we come 😉)
Finally made it to Cathy´s blog and she made me remember this bitter-sweet fairy tale "The little girl with the matchsticks", as we both took part in Rain´s theme (I had this).

Sunday: Slept in. Soooo tired these days. Think it´s the fear of the fire-seminar and the journey to Perth itself. It costs so much energy.
So literally all I did was watching Löwenzahn and Die Maus, doing the journal and preparing food for Ingo. Oh, and took care of bank-stuff.
Reckon your Sunday was better, at least I had still food from NAMSTE!

Art-wise...

 I´ll take this to Perth.

No promise, but if I feel like it, I´ll join you :-)

Clever concept, don´t you think?

Henry 🦁

It is ridiculous, I was never ever so nervous to travel!
Wish me luck all goes well and have a happy T-Day!
Deutsche Bahn (railway) will be on strike from tomorrow on for a week!

I wish I had huge lungs! With my asthma I can't talk too long before I start coughing and if I am walking fast I can't talk without losing breath, but walking slow isn't so bad. If there is a lot of traffic I can't hear properly either.
Keanu Reeves is a favourite of mine too.
Your Garndma was very smart to wait for the next ship.
I had more to say, but can't remember it now.

Oh, it must be awful not being able to breathe properly!!! Sorry to hear and also thank you for the info, Ingo is a very fast walker, I´ll keep him at bay ;-)
Yes, Omi was wise!

Wow! What a nice, informative post. I have never had mulled wine. It always amazes me how adults act like little kids. It never ends not matter what age. I just can't deal with it. Before covid, as you know I was quite involved with several art committees in my town. Some of the people, men and women, always caused trouble or thought they were better than others. I am with you as far as not socializing in person. I don't miss it and actually feel better for it. I'm in my PJ's or sweats during the day. If someone comes to the door, too bad if they don't like it. I'm trying to keep warm. That is so nice of Ingo to get you buttered chicken from Namaste. It looks so darn good. Your journal pages are so clever. Have a nice day today.

I know what you mean about being nervous before a long plane ride. I’m not afraid of crashes as they are currently vanishingly rare, but the stress of waiting in airports, boarding, making connections, going through security, and all the mechanics are very scary. So I wish you a very good and uneventful plane trip to such a faraway place!

Your teapot is as cool as your coat Iris. It's a lot of fun. And that story about the ship is interesting. I wonder why more people haven't heard of it; like me. And a good thing your grandmother didn't get on it, right? Have fun packing. I bet you are really really excited! For more than just the warmth too. hugs-Erika

I love mulled wine, but I've never heard of or tried white mulled wine ☺️. So glad you have friends and family on your side, they sound like they are a great support. Hope it gets warmer for you too, we've had storm after storm here so lots of rain and very windy. I'm sure you'll have a wonderful time on your travels, take care and enjoy ❤️. Happy T Tuesday! Hugs, Jo x

I love your teapot! So cheery on gloomy winter days. I am sorry about all the trouble with mK. What an idiot he must be.
Great journal, Iris. And very busy days!

Nicole, mulled wine is mostly good on cold nights :-)
Yes, I can´t deal with this anymore, either. I am happy at home, too!
NAMSTE is really yummy, ,to a nice day!

____

Mae, yes, all the hassle and all the hassle twice/four times. And 15 hours or more in one piece is a pain, too.
Thank you for your wishes!

____

Kathy, was yum, and yes, I´m SO fed up. But I can´t avoid him... well, 40F is not exactly warm! We will have 40C soon, which is 104F :-)
Thank you, but no promise with the water-colors - hugs to you and the lake!

____

Tom, I always hated it!

____

Erika, my glasses-holder is... red with white dots. Wilhelm Gustloff I learned nothing about at school, either!
I detected that in a magazine back then and Omi just said, "we nearly were on it.".
I hate packing, LOL And yes, with the strike and no idea how to get to Frankfurt... it´s rather terrified.
Unnecessary stress, but hopefully we find a way and then I´ll enjoy summer for you, too, hugs!

____

Jo, white mulled wine is a tad sweeter and lighter (here).
Oh, my Brother doesn´t know, he would...probably come over and tell that freak off, kidding ;-)
Yes, 40C / 104F might be it! Thank you, I hope all goes well. Hugs

____

Sue, my coat looks like the teapot and... many more things :-)
Yes, idiot hits it. Thank you, the journal is fun and helps me in these fast times!

I was most fascinated by the story of the MV Gustloff. Your grandmother was brilliant. As always, I enjoyed your calendar pages.

How sweet of Ingo to bring you chicken as a birthday gift from Namaste. Belated birthday wishes, too!

Nice that you will take that watercolor set to Perth with you. I am sure it will come in handy. Don't be nervous. Have a good tie and forget everything else.

Your white mulled wine sounds good. Love the mug and teapot, too. Thanks for sharing your week with us and your drink for T this Tuesday, dear Iris.

I don't like flying either. But it does get you to exciting places. I hope the journey goes easily for you, Iris.

Iris Flavia said...

Dear Elizabeth, yes, m Omi was brave, so brave - it was a very cold winter and the Russians on the way, she had 7 survivng kids..
I still think of sadly late Eileen who gave me the idea with the journal!
Yes, flowers would´ve been no use as we leave soon! Thank you for the wishes.
I cannot promise I´ll use the watercolors ;-)
Wine is still there some, and it´s cold enough, too!

____

RedPat, thank you, I hope so, too. Ack, the darn Deutsche Bahn....

___

Well, you won't have to suffer your irritating colleague any more for a while! Enjoy Perth, even though I know you're not looking forward to the long-haul flight. What a good idea to take your little paint set with you. I hope you get to create something.
Mmmm mulled wine. I love it. I still have one bottle left.
It's so sweet of Ingo to get you a meal from Namaste for your birthday! Of course he oves you!
I didn't know either about MV Gustloff. What a tragedy. So many people. Yes, your grandma was a wise old bird (as they say).
Happy T-Day,
Lisca

Beautiful journaling! Sad about the ship and thanks to your Grandma's intuition you survived to blog!

Deb, yes, can´t remember such a cold winter! So early! Can´t wait to dive into summer next week, hugs!

____

Lisca, I hope for another project and escape "kindy-boy" altogether! And I really hope we make it to Frankfurt.
Yes, I hope my mind will say: art :-)
I have some wine here, too and some frozen NAMASTE as well :-) Yes, Omi was wise! Hugs (I miss her)

____

magiceye, thank you and yes, it was quite a decision with 7 surviving kids!
