No worries, mates - this is but a postcard I sent from Madeley/Perth last year, it´s lying on my Lenovo.I should´ve bought one card for myself, too...
Note the Lenovo I bought in Joondalup/Perth in 2017... Aussie-/American keypad - German is different. Where the "Z" is we have the "Y").
Let´s have a last look at the Guildford Hotel, just a quick browse-through...
And here comes a greeting from P to Ingo:
And certainly we had free tap-water. Wonder when this comes to Germany...
Of course we were hungry!
Lamb and Scottish beef on display at a London meat market. Today, health and safety officials would raise the alarm at such a sight."
With this the series ends - but maybe try to keep some of this. Less online-ordering, visit your local stores more, if you don´t do already...

I could get used to that hotel
The meat markets in Mumbai look the same as in your old photo!
I wonder where the Z goes on the German keyboard...is it up next to the T?
...GREAT starters!
Sorry, these were the last pics...
Oh! Interesting!
Yupp!
More than a full meal for me!
I try not to order anything on line if I can avoid it.
You will have to go back to that hotel again, Iris.
Did you have rain fall The sound of rain on an uninsulated metal roof is such a pretty sound. Hope your weekend is going well. hugs-Erika
Maybe next year I will return :-) - Or my friends show me new stuff! They are great at that!
And yes, what I can I buy local, too.
Yes, for 90 seconds we had rainfall. Sadly in summer it seldom rains in that area - I LOVE, love, love the sound of rain on a tin roof! That´s why Ingo got me tin buckets to put upside down on the balcony when it rains! Hugs and to good times!
I'd like it to be warm enough to sit out on that balcony.
That is quite a large looking starter, I'm sure you enjoyed what you managed to eat.
All the best Jan
When we first moved back to adelaide in 1986, we shopped at the Central Market (you saw a little bit last summer) and the butchers there (two of them) both still had hanging meat and we would buy half a young sheep called Hoggett, and have the leg for roasting and have the rest cut into chops, to take home and put in the big freezer. It was so cheap back then, but now Hoggett is unavailable and everything is lamb, spring lamb and baby lamb, which is all too expensive and has very little taste. Older sheep were sold as Mutton, but I haven't seen that for a long time now. And of course the hanging meat is no longer allowed it must be kept out of sight in the cool rooms.
I have made a note to visit the Guildford Hotel if I ever get back to Perth.
Loving the original features like the fire place!
Oh, it was warm - around 40C / 104F :-)
Yes to both!
LOL, I remember in the canteen we had lamb and I said, "Hmmm, baby sheep!". The en laughed, the only other woman tried to kill me with her looks... Lamb is still rather seldom over here.
If you make it to Perth next summer, say mid January- mid-March, let´s visit the hotel together!
Join us next summer (January-March)! By now we´rd be a party of three!
That and that they kept the burned parts...
