One-Eyed Books

When I was signed sick I finally found the motivation to take the papers from the summer-flow-magazine and give it a go.

Being precise wasn´t easy with one eye closed!

Any idea what to do with it?

Maybe mini-photo-albums...

Knock On Wood

The plants on our balcony - well, not all of them, but some - still refuse to go!

Nobody here likes winter, right, not in this household!

Fingers crossed we got the winter-tyres on for nothing!

School´s Not Out

By chance I found this school, when I went back to buy peas - usually we walk the other way round.

I suppose at least it´s a school, the yard was empty. Well, not entirely, it was full of cigarette-butts.
Which made me wonder two things, a) not expensive enough yet/rich kids, b) doctors/nurses/carer-to be, shouldn´t they really know better?

I know that many a retiree hasn´t much money, but.... no clothes at all?!

I would not bring my teddy here!

Nice idea with the fun-murals, I think.

Now We Have Playmobil, Too

When I spotted this we turned around and went all the way back to get them, certainly!

From the little leaflet I learned that Heinrich, born in 1130, holds the New Testament in his hand, which he donated to the cathedral.

The book disappeared and was only found again in 1983 - in London!
They got it back for some very whopping 16,5 million - in euro!

They even mention in the leaflet that the real Henry is hidden in castle Dankwarderode (don´t tell the one outside, would make him sad).

From The Kitchen

Yesterday my doc said, "when I saw your name on my list I thought 'oh, no'..." - today she signed me sick for two days with the words, "just when you were gone yesterday I thought, shoot, I should´ve signed her sick!"

Aw, well - my eye is a lot better already, but she said use loads of cream - and use that cream all in all for 6-8 weeks.
One scratch! It´s a "flesh wound - just in the eye!" - my doc is funny, no?

But, then!
I´m alone, right? I have fruffle, too.
So.

I got meat, 300g it was:

I bought Italian parmesan-cheese, and eggs:

In a tad ò butter I put the peppered meat in.

In a bowl mixed one egg, a fair bit of grated cheese and half a little truffle from the glas.
After the meat was what I rightfully thought was ready (phew! I really should´ve looked at the time! No idea how long it was in!!!) I added the mixture till the egg was ready, too.

YUM!

Just I didn´t taste any truffle.
Any tipps? Chunks too big, simply not enough?

Funny. When Ingo/any person isn´t around I dare to do all this and usually it´s even yummy.

Try again tomorrow (without pepper) - if you know what to do about the truffle, please let me know (I also have truffle-cream and oil, add that, too?).

Inner Self

Timetravel, it´s ca. 2004, I´m still living in Bültenweg, weekend-relationship, the clock goes off, I get up, get dressed - winter-clothes and all!, wonder why there are no news on TV.

It is 03-something a.m and I just dreamed the clock went off.

Summer. Still Bültenweg. Due to the birds I wear ear-protection. The clock goes off, I hear it through my ear protection - repeat above.

Yes, twice!!!!
Twice I only thought my clock goes off. I dreamed my clock goes off. So real.
Now I always check what time it really is.

I´m German.

I have a clock. I have backup #1. And backup #2. Plus the hubs.

I turned off the clock and modified #2 cause I´m off to my eye-doc today.

Right.
#1, huh? My fitbit with vibrating-alarm. Forgot that.
It "went off" at 04:40, so I took it off and put it in the living room before it could really go off at 04:43, which I programmed it for (and forgot to put off).

My freaky brain simulated at 04:40 the EXACT vibrations of the clock!!!

Now. Off to my eye-doc or into the cuckoo's nest?!
Brrr....

Can you relate??
Should I be thankful for this?
Why does my brain do this?
Doesn´t it know I don´t have to get up early but can sleep in a bit?
I´m confused...

Beauty And The... Beasts (Plural)

Guess there is still a lot to learn ahead for me!

I certainly could cut off the ugly graffiti.
Would "destroy" the classical format. Or make it even more vibrant, arty, whatever.

But it would not teach me to have a closer look.

Still. Actually I like the last one, how about you?

On the other hand...
We have the technology.
And all I really could´ve done is remove the graffiti, either via editing or really buying color and stuff. Which... no.

Still. What´s wrong with some people, I wonder, no?
Some critty lille losers, in my eyes. Respectless and likely the first to cry for help when you go at their belongings.

Aw. Thanks for having this technology these days!
Remember the old(en) days?
