Nice people, good food, we managed to dance, no silly games.
The taxi was 15 minutes early and in jumping down to it, I... forgot the present! And we realised only when we had arrived!
But a colleague drove me back and I have to say I am glad he did.
I expected our pressie to be the smallest and rather simple. There are so many instructions on money-pressies.
But guess what? So, so disappointingly we were the only ones who went creative at all!
The Bridal couple were better, instead of using simple paper place cards, they made these named candles:

There were two great ideas I steal away for my Bro´s Wedding, too.
No silly games, they´re luckily not a fan of that either, but:
Buy heaps of small servings of jam, like the ones you get in hotels, on planes. Put em into a basket, add a basket with thick wrapping paper in small pieces to fit the jam, pens, tape and such. And simply ask the people to stop by there, take a set, add some notes of whatever comes to their mind and wrap it up.
Every Sunday for a long time the newly weds have something sweet to eat and to read.
I love the idea.
Second, a lottery. Oh, yay, both me and Ingo "won". Out of twelve. I´m number 9. So, next month I will show up with "the biggest bouquet of flowers I can find".
Number 6 is what Ingo got. Both of them have their Birthdays in June and Ingo is supposed to bake them a cake (will be a salty one, like Quiche or such, naturally) and invite them over.
Every month for a whole year they have someone show up and bring or do something with or for them and remind them of their new way of life.
Sweet idea, I love it also!
Not so good... I felt like a fire alarm. I was the only one showing up that colorful. Even the kids were dressed more decent.
People said it suits me. The bride shook her head and said, gosh what do you worry about. Well. Will I wear this to my Bro´s wedding, too? I´m not sure.
Am I too colorful in general?
Today was rather cloudy and rainy. We went into the city, using the path following the Oker again. On the way back we visited the Botanical Gardens, ahh the colors these days.
Little shock was this:

Hello?! Not even mid-August!
Fun is the new cook-book I got. And I think I will even go and try some of the receipes!

Who doesn´t love Shaun the Sheep?!
Meat pastry, ironically with the pigs:

Or Tortilla with veggies - yips, if the bull adressed me like that, I´d skip any meat, too!

A very cute book!
Aaaand... couldn´t resist these earrings (1,95 €):

And here are some pics of the day/Botanical Garden/Oker, some HDRed by Ingo:
Now this could be some witchhouse, no?

Colors of nature, ahhh...

Inviting to read a book, no?

Green, a beautiful color:

The Tropical House:

Other News:
I just heard my Mom´s oldest sister got a stroke and the whole right side is palsied.
Good news - maybe, that is: Probably Ingo´s in a job soon - cross your fingers, wish him luck or give good thoughts, you know what I mean, choose your way - it´s been sooo... too! - long already, waiting for a chance!

I love weddings! After going to 14 over the past two years, I'm not invited to any this year (yet). What am I supposed to do with myself if I don't go to weddings!
I'm for praying for your aunt, for a good recovery.
The wedding sounds lovely :)
Hope your Aunt is okay.
