Let´s start with my entry to Elizabeth´s T, shall we?
The Orange drink is more than "ZERO", it was in the pic by accident, but suits so well, don´t you think?
It´s luckily, happily too warm for hot tea now - I got this as super-cheapy cause Christmas was long over - so what, sadly it will get cold again...
Food-wise....
Cooking and eating in under 30 minutes!
If you like to join me on the journal, here goes again, also thanks to your support, of course!!!
When I was say 14 I sketched and then lost interest... see later here what happens... start here:
Monday: Holy moly.
What did I find by chance?
Some very (not so) clever person translated code to German.
Excuse me, WHAT?!!!!
Stopped the company in an instant and it was decided I´m cheaper, I re-translate, aka copy back. And what did I find?!
They also translated variables. Figures. Ahhhhhhh....
It hurt so much I nearly cried - and it´s document after document after document.
Condo looked as bad so with BOSE and good music I took care of it (a bit).
Tuesday: The only joy are Ingo´s sunflowers peeking over my laptop 💙💛.
More code to re-copy. Soooooooo much. And I found out the peeps in Spain remodel the documents after giving code "applicable".
Since N & J are not there people ask... ME!!!!
Help!!! I´m still the rather new one!!!!
P, the super-new-one always is so happy for my help, yet I reckon in a sec I´ll ask him for help!
Really - I never ever was in a team so great, helpful and friendly!
I am thankful.
And the sun was shining, I found time to draw on the balcony - much more fun than doing sport!
No more details, you´d fall asleep. (Just one thing: Points in railway are also called "frog legs").
It´s SUMMER!!!! Balcony time and sketching, reading, just sitting there, enjoying.
Are you with me? We gotta take what we get!
Neighbor´s boy peed right in front, aw, well.
Friday: Woke up to an open door and summer rain, if you are a Pluviophil, too, you can listen here!
We have a lot of stress, as usual, and we find time to joke and laugh - as usual!
Did I mention the great team?
Weekend: Pizza da Guido, BBQ, Maus & Elefant.
And relaxing. Balcony-time.
SUMMER 😍
One of the sketches, really, thanks to you all I enjoy this!
Bro and I found these glasses after also our Mum´d passed - our parents were optometrists amongst other and Bro let me have this one:
He passed 2002 of cancer.
He had the finest handwriting. And these frames were expensive just due to the name "Dior".
They never sold these...
I´l join Nicole on FFO (aka Friday Face Off) on Fridays for more sketches, maybe you join, too?

I am happy you have such a wonderful team, but the messed up translations must be so frustrating!
I always like your journal entries and thank you for the eggs and chicken slices idea. I don't have any chicken but I do have mushroom to be used up, so I will slice it into my eggs tonight.
River, thank you and yes, with mushrooms it must be as good!
I used hot spice, too.
And next time will add chive (have some on the balcony) and maybe cheese. Endless ideas :-)
...translating is an art. Years ago I imported garden items from Asia, on their websites they tried to translate to English, but in a very clumsy fashion.
Good morning, here in the usa they have christmas in July-so christmas movies on the tv and christmas sales too.
You have such an interesting job and great team to work with-that's really awesome. always love your journal pages-Happy T hugs Kathy
Tom, clumsy is some word for that ;-)
____
Kathy, In Australia they have that, too, Christmas in July. Not so here, but I have Christmas items on here all year long :-)
Interesting is a good word for the job! But yes, soooo happy with the team!
The tea looks good! The chicken and eggs looks yummy.
Love the journal pages! Super fun. So glad your team is wonderful and you have pretty flowers to look it.
Happy T-day and many hugz, Iris.
Nancy, thank you :-) Hugz back again!
I'm glad you explained frog legs to me because I thought maybe you had them for dinner. i know people eat them, but all I can think of is the ones we used to dissect in school. And yuk to eating them. That laughing horse is very funny! You could use your blueberry tea to make ice tea. I bet it would be refreshing. I hope you are having a great T day Iris. hugs-Erika
Ewwwww, Erika!!!! There are some things I will never eat and frog legs belong to that category!
OMG you really.... nooooo.... no frogs on any tables here, not at school, not at home. Ewwww... To tea, hugs 😄🐸
Translation is a talent!
I drink hot drinks no matter what the weather is like.
Translating has always sounded like an intriguing profession but difficult, since it's not just literal word-to-word meanings you have to worry about but odd expressions and turns of phrase.
Happy T Tuesday!
Jackie, yes?
I hope my English ain´t that bad...
____
Divers and Sundry, yes, that´s why I prefer to watch movies etc in the original!
And you are right. Some of those "pros" translate word by word! For crying out loud!
Your journal is looking great and probably unleashes any stress you get.
It's great to be part of a great team! Helping each other where you can, even as a newbie.
Translating is very tiring. I find it hard work. I can think in one language or another, but not in two at the same time so I struggle finding the right words when I translate. Sometimes they call me at the front at church to translate. Yuck. I don't mind speaking in front of a lot of people, but translating makes me nervous because I'm not good at it.
Your egg dish looks yummy.
And I'm glad you are getting so much 'down time' on your balcony! Enjoy the summer!
Happy T-Day,
Hugs,
Lisca
The translation company sounds like a real waste of your employer's money! The online translator from google or from deepL both sound more reliable. Always puzzling when companies make such mistakes with subcontractors or consultants.
best... mae at maefood.blogspot.com
So nice to have a team behind you, even if it is stressful. I think translation is an artform unto itself. I agree with Mae to use deepL. Far more reliable than Google.
Laughed at the horse and at your explanation of the frog legs. I always enjoy your calendar.
I think your tea sounds wonderful. It doesn't have to wait till Christmas to be enjoyed. It sounds perfect over ice. Thanks for sharing your calendar, your art, and your tea with us for T this Tuesday, dear Iris.
That meal does look quick and easy - I might try it myself. It's the middle of Winter here but no matter what the season is I still have a hot coffee in the morning and a hot tea in the afternoon.
Just stopping by to say Happy T Day. Love that you are still doing your journal. I think of Elaine every time I see yours!
Iris i'm so sorry i'm flying by here so late!! If you can believe it i had to go help round up cattle out of town.. Last minute craziness.. It's 10 pm and i just got home and settled down.. What cute tea.. Is it loose tea or tea bags? If its bags are they shaped like the box? I've seen some like that.. Enjoy all your sketches..especially the last one! Happy T day! Hugs! deb
Bill, indeed it helps big!
____
Lisca, yes, I am mso thankful for this team!
Languages (well English, French no more and Spanish I sadly never learned) are easy to me.
Yes, to the balcony, yipeeee! Hugs back! :-)
____
Mae, I am 100% with you!!! A waste of money and time indeed! I did translate for them and it was OK - just... too much. Sadly.
And funny: translating to German is more difficult than the other way round. Crazy!
____
Elizabeth, yupp! DeepL and check that, done.
Phew, glad I explained the frog legs, LOL!
Yes, I think ice I will have to make - we get friends from Perth over after all!
____
Amy, Ingo slowly turns me into a coffee-drinker!!!!
____
Sharon, yes, she was my inspiration. Still cannot believe she had to go so early...
____
deb, what?! Cattle?! Very cool! Oh, I love cows, they have such beautiful eyes.
Bags, it came in bags. But boring ones - sadly! Die Maus and Elefant give hugs back! :-)
Once again your calendar journal has such brilliant details! Isn't it good to sit out on the balcony? Belated Happy T Day, hugs, Chrisx
