This is the last mural from Braunschweig´s West.
I don´t think I will visit soon again.
It´s a long way to walk and it is really a rather... "unfriendly" area.
Good if you are fluent in Russian and Turkish, I am in neither.

I had friends since 1993 in Braunschweig, but in other quarters and moved here 2001 only...
The city tries to make the West attractive - I do hope they manage!

The art is good. theer are areas of Adelaide I would never dare to go especially at night.

When we lived in Salzgitter there was already a Klein-Türkei, but the people were nice there, it made things easier if you knew a word or two in Tyrkish and was a nice person - I do not doubt that you are a nice person, but maybe enought others have not been?
...art makes a community great.
Charlotte, I think Salzgitter has changed a lot, too - must ask Ingo (some of his work-colleagues also live there, Ingo just drives to the plant and back).
But maybe I won´t and you keep your nice memories!!! That would be better!
And don´t get me wrong - Ingo has a very nice Russian colleague and I had a friendly Turkish one. His Turkish wife always cooked and baked for him to take to work for his Birthday, very yummy.
By no means do I "alle über einen Kamm scheren".
But, yes, others have not been nice, that even includes a maybe 14-year old boy who hit me for not making room for him (I had recycling-stuff (glass and paper) with me).
The Father in typical Muslim clothes was right behind and behind him his fully covered wife with two big bags of groceries.
