With this sketchy face I join Nicole´s FFO.
And for Annie´s Smiles another FB-Story (P.S. aka Facebook, I am no teacher, I just wanted to share this great idea to help kids, well, or teachers):
"Damn, That's Interesting
"A few weeks ago, I started the 'I need' box in my class, a way for my students to ask for help without having to come directly to me. They write their needs on a card and leave it in the box.
The first week, two boys let me know about a bullying situation. We got it taken care of. The next week, I changed the format a little and started having EVERY student put a card in the box every day. They didn’t have to write on it, but every student visits the box daily.
Since then, I’ve had a plethora of 'needs' submitted. They range from specific supply needs, seat changes, special handshakes when entering class, after-school help, bullying situations, and even hugs.
What’s even better is students are starting to come to me directly with issues/challenges they are having bypassing the box completely. I’ve been teaching middle school for 15 years, and I can honestly say this is the best thing I’ve ever done to reach my kids this early in the school year." ❤️

Wish I had a teacher like that. In school-breaks one boy grabbed me and threw me to the next, it was awful. 2 years...
Being small sure sucks. They always caught me,but it was NO FUN. Puberty can be bad...
So, to overcome this, some funnies, OK?
In case a youngster hops in, this is what it´s all about....
Not into sweets, even not today? Here is another, sad sweet:
Well, no, she´s a bookworm.
The series:
"30 bizarre wildlife facts that are actually true
Squids have blue blood
The octopus is one of the strangest creatures in the world. It is extremely intelligent and has the largest brain in relation to its body mass of any invertebrate. It can change color to communicate with other squids, has amazing camouflage abilities, and is able to use tools.
Additionally, octopuses have three hearts and blue blood, which contains copper rather than iron like most other animals. This means it can transport oxygen better in the cold, oxygen-poor conditions underwater."

Aaaaah... those lions!!! And again a big smile for the jokes, especially for the scare a moose
Henry and Freddie say thank you!
Yes, It's St Nicholas! (Sinterklaas). I'm going to my friend Isa to celebrate it with a whole gang of children A German family with four children will be there too. It will be chaos but fun. Normally ee wwould celebrate it on the eve (dec 5th) but the German family couldn't make it so we're celebrating tonight. The children don't really realize...
Loved your funnies. Freddie, stuck drawer, teenage mannequins and retired. You certainly got me chuckling this morning. Thanks.
I once read a book about octopusses' intelligence. Amazing!
Have a great weekend,
Hugs,
Lisca
No one talks about St.Nicholas here but Sants arrives on Cristmas Eve to somefamilies. For most of the Spanish people , the big day is january 6th, Epiphany, whne the three kings arrive and bring presents for the children. each country has its own customs I guess.
Love the Facebook story. I used to be a teacher and this is such a good idea.
lovely picture of henry this week. Much love, Kate x
Happy Friday Iris
Thanks for linking to Art For Fun Friday
Much❤️💚love
...and you say that you aren't artistic?
Thanks for the smiles and the laughs.
I wonder what that guy would do if I stopped at his booth???
Love your face post. The free kissing booth made me smile.
Cool shades on St Nicholas! Very seasonally appropriate!
Nice Santa. I read the box story. I'm not sure they fixed the bullying as fast as they said they it did, having been a teacher and watched bullies at work, but it is a good way for students to be able to say things they can't actually say. Sorry to read you were bullied. And thanks for the smiles.. I hope you have a nice start to the weekend. hugs-Erika
I've never tasted potato pancakes with apple sauce, but it sure looks good!
I always finish your post with a smile so thanks for that.
Hugs,
Annie x
Wow, have loads of fun today!! And yes, Freddie, huh, a legend forever!
To clever animals, happy weekend, hugs!
We don´t celebrate, either but the prices for chocolate went through the roof, also as the harvest was bad... good thing I don´t like sweets....
To good teachers, I´d say and give back much love x
A happy Friday to you, Gillena, much love
Aw, well it was a hectic 05:00 a.m.-sketch.... I could do better?
He´d give you a kiss! :-) This is Jensen Ackles after all!
We all should line up for kisses and make him smile!
It had to be. It´s grey here since weeks! So I needed to fake!
Thank you Erika (says Santa). Well, that was puberty. I think they wanted to say "I like you". Boys, huh. All good, we went to different schools after those two years. To a great weekend, hugs
They are yummy, but smell bad - fry them outside :-)
Dear host, that´s what you started, hugs! x
Happy St. Nicholas Day! Yum, potato pancakes. I don't think puberty has ever been fun for any girl. I can remember being barked at while walking home (meaning I looked like a dog), had my bra strap snapped. Too bad we warn girls to keep their knees together, don't walk alone, don't walk alone at night...too bad we don't educate the boys not to harass and no means no.
Love the funnies, Iris, and that FB story. I hope it is a true one.
Your posts are always so interesting, funny and full of you. I love that potato pancake with applesauce. That sounds so good. Thank you for joining FFO and have a great weekend.
The above comment is from me. LOL
Hi Iris I'm here at last. Love the funnies and have to admit to understanding the Beep Beep Hee! Hee! Scare a Moose made me smile too. I hate to say it but the drawer thing happens regularly here and it does my head in! Have a good weekend. Hugs Angela xXx
You sure made me laugh with the puberty. Go figure why Ingo is nearly 8 years older than me! Yes, keep safe, no matter which age!
I can well imagine the FB-story being true!
LOL, Nicole, I got a guess before I read this! Blogger having the hiccups again, huh.... To a great weekend :-)
Angela, yes, how often is that darn drawer stuck!! Or a big spoon sneaks out into the cabinet. Beep beep! To a good weekend, hugs xXx
The box is such a great idea! Your students are so lucky to have you!!! I have a friend that teaches middle school & I am sure she would love this idea. She just had her kitchen cabinets refinished & I am going over to her place to see them this weekend so I will have to show her this post. Thanks so much for sharing! Have a great weekend!
Jackie, it is a story from Facebook. I am no teacher. But YES, please show this to your friend!!! It might help so many kids! To a great weekend!
Awesome fb story. To a great weekend. We are expecting Storm Darragh tonight, more heavy rain and wind. :(
That pancake needs more apple sauce. That teacher did a very good thing. 'Scare a moose" ha ha.
Yes, nice story but ack to your weather! Here just another grey, icky day, so we must shine from the inside :-)
I´m not a "Sweetie", that´s all I can take ;-)
Yes to the teacher and Freddie!
