Went to the city affairs building yesterday via tram and bus cause it is very citizen-friendly faaaaaar away from the city (hint: irony).
I need a new passport for overseas.
I was surprised to find sign above! Which is for Tom´s Signs2.
I know it´s an oldie, but... German officials with humor, wow!
So here goes, get rid of that earworm:
A good reminder to keep on fighting through studies.
Despite having had a fixed appointment I had to wait nearly 30 minutes and hence the 90-minute-ticket had expired, why, thank you.
So much for the well-known German punctuality, just not at the office...
Had another with me, of course, but, surprise - a shuttle-bus for free took us to the exhibition grounds and 2 minutes later another bus arrived.
I showed my ticket, the driver nodded but I found nothing to check in!
A free ride!
Another dude bought a ticket... reckon the driver was just too lazy to have a proper look at mine!
The series:
"Things that are misrepresented in films
You can only file a missing person report if the person has been missing for some time
Another common argument in crime movies is that the police can't file a missing person report if the person hasn't been missing for at least 24 or even 48 hours. In reality, there is no waiting period before you can file a missing person report. Henry 🦁
Cheers to Freddie!

Best wishes for a quick new passport!
I got the number, other I need it in January, so, plenty of time!
That sign is funny. Too bad you still had to wait. I hope I never have to file a missing person report or be a missing person either. Have a great rest of your Wednesday. hugs-Erika
These offices... at least I didn´t have to pay extra for the bus!
Yes, I hope the same, but if I do it immediately! To a great day, hugs
Love that sign! I hope all goes well on the passport stuff. Pity about the wait!
...officials having a sense of humor is a good thing! Happy traveling to you, Iris.
I Am Will To Bet That You Smiled When You Saw That Henry
Way Cool ,
Cheers
It´s typical for these kind of offices... the passport is but routine - I need it end of January :-)
Thank you, Tom, end of January we go!
Well, I only need to open the fridge to see more of him - that is Braunschweig´s beer, Wolters. Cheers to that!
I applied for my passport by mail and got it in a month also by mail. I don’t really need one, as I don’t want to travel anymore.
Love the sign, Iris.
I had to give my birth-certificate and my fingerprint!
Thank you, RedPat. Freddie forever, I´d say...
Hope you don't have to wait too long for your passport. Not good when an appointment waiting time takes longer than expected, it can be frustrating too.
No worries, I have the number. The passport itself I need end of January!
Fun sign.
Here in the states, it's easier and quicker to get a new passport when you already have one from before. It's the first one that takes the longest.
I didn't know that about missing persons. I always heard there was a waiting period. Duh!
I love the sign, Iris. I wish you all the best!
In that place especially.
Well, I could get mean... I need to get my finger-print each and every time, the refugees.... not.
If Ingo was overdue ... just imagine, his car flipped... I don´t wanna think about it!
Thank you, Linda, to a great time!
Thankfully I never had to report a missing person, but I did once call the police in Port Pirie when I tried to phone my mum to say Merry Christmas and ALL day she didn't answer the phone, so I called the police and they found her across the street having Christmas dinner with neighbours.
Reckon that was a very worrysome Christmas!
That sign made me smile!
We have never filed a missing persons report, but i always understood that the police here won't do anything about a report for some time, I forget what it is. And then only if you fear the person is in danger.
Well, that is sad... Sometimes minutes can count after all!
