With A Bucket To Work
The secretary came into our office and was quite nervous:
“Tomorrow we won´t have any water between 09:30 and 01:00! Bring buckets, IT´S THE WHOLE BUILDING COMPLEX!”
Well, I certainly wonder why the work on the waterpipe isn´t done on a Saturday or earlier or later in the day.
It´s kinda weird, we take it all for granted with water, electricity and all.
So, I brought a bucket, T came with several empty bottles, others brought tanks, we filled it all up “before the water is really gone! And remember to also fill the coffee-machine again!” It was crazy.
R said, jokingly, “just wait, 09:15 and there is a long queue in front of the toilet!”.
Around 12:00 T took his full bottle, came back and watered the plant, “water is back”.
Plus they´d split the complex, the other side of the road was with water. If you really had to go you could´ve gone to the canteen.
What was the panic again for?
What if this happens by chance?
But, to be honest… I did drink only little so I could avoid taking my bucket for a walk ;-)

Oh we do tend to panic when things are not running quite as they always do. It was only in your last sentence that I realized what the buckets were for :) :)
Grace :-)
Sorry, I thought the "toilet-girl" is the explanation. I really have to learn to explain better!
Ah, well, better safe than sorry. :-)
True, too!
We take water and electricity for granted and can't live without them for a few hours. But as you said they could have planned that for earlier or later when no one is in the office.
