A Visitor
Pic from yesterday around 08:30 am, boy, still pretty cold.
Went to see my doc to get a referral to an ear specialist.
My ear is still driving me nuts, constant swoosh.
At the bakery the baker-lady (here, around the corner) told me the price, I paid, she looked down and said something.
Not a chance, I had to ask back - it was "have a nice day".
Receptionist at doc also head down, asking something, had to ask back.
I really do think every one should make this "I cannot hear on one ear" experience for a week.
Why?
I have a friend who had a thankfully benign brain tumor and lost her left ear completedly.
I had no idea how bad that is in crowds!
Also because there are very dumb people around!
She is a nurse and her coordinator has the radio on, pretty loud, too.
She explained the situation and asked to turn it down (not out, down).
That lady turned it up! Happened a couple of times, my friend went to the boss who said as long as the patients don´t complain she can hear it as loud as she wants (and he knew about the deaf ear, too).
She complained in written form even and in the end had to quit.
How, just how???
For Saturday 26C are predicted - now, who is the visitor, summer or autumn?
Lion of the day - love how he´s holding the kid´s hands for a pic :-)

Is it something that might get better with time Iris? It must be very difficult when having a group conversation 😥 26C.. that sounds perfect, enjoy ✨
Oh, Grace, if not I´ll go nuts!
It may take up to six weeks, but I hope the doc has an idea to make healing quicker (no cortisone, though, tried that but once).
Well, 22C only. Back inside as colder in the shadow...
Still nice temperature during the day, but already icing the windows at night bbrrr.
That was sad about your nurse friend having to quit, very mean boss who didn't support her!
Yes, day temps are nice still :-)
I think here in Germany this would not have happened (she lives still a tad south to you, Kwinana)...
Hope you can get your ear sorted …
I enjoyed seeing the flowers in your post, so colourful.
All the best Jan
Monday... I hope I get my ear back!
