Hello, Mum
I got my Dad´s genes and fish actually is not on my list.
Which is sad and unhealthy!
But Ingo sure finds ways, be it fish-fingers or... gilthead seabream and...
Why Mum is here now?
She had to leave in December 2011, on her Baby-Brother´s Birthday, whom I had to call.
Imagine that.
"P"
"Iris here.."
"Oh, thank you, you remembered my birthday!!"
"..."
All I could do was cry, and he knew his Sister had passed. We cried together, happy birthday...
He looks like an older version of my Brother btw.
Lives in Spain, to his wedding my Brother had a sign with his name on it to get him at the airport.
So unnecessary, they look like twins, crazy!!!
And there we were, crying from Germany to Spain and back.
I miss her so much at times, my Mum.
Mum never gave up on me and "presented" me with that fish-holder thing.
Well, Mum, once a year it works! ;-)
As long as Ingo takes your job and gives me the best of the (darn) fish ;-)
To you, Mum, I miss you.
No Lion of the day as this reminds me too much of my home town, Seesen (where I just visited my dear Bro).
Fun fact - this is better than Bratwurst!
And thank you, Ingo.

Food is a great way to fondly remember our Mums. I enjoy cooking my Mums favourite dishes.
Yes. So sad some dishes I never asked how she made them! Nor does my Brother know... a shame...
I quite enjoy fish, but with no bones :)
My uncle (mom's youngest brother) died on my birthday and I always remember that.
A hug Iris xxx
We never stop missing our parents Iris. My mum was famous for her shortbread and every year all the kids in the family and we daughters gather to make the shortbread for Xmas. I have a feeling mum left out her 'special' ingredient because ours never tastes as good as hers 😁
Sami, even T said, just without bones - we all need an Ingo here :-)
Oh, how sad to have to remember your Uncle like that - a big hug from here back xxx
Grace, to be honest I don´t even now what shortbread is, but there are some meals we just fail to cook as our Mum did, too. Beamtenstippe, for example, I loved it and never cared to ask cause Mum will be there always, right...
...what a bundle of joy you were or are!
Haha, Tom, were!
Still small, though, never made it more than 1,64m... (now 1,58, thanks to scoliosis, no worries, all OK).
We don't stop missing our mothers.
I actively go out of my way to avoid seafood.
Oh Iris, that's so hard. We miss them forever and ever. I loved the photo of the two of you. A real treasure. I'm so glad you called your uncle. Days like this are hard for family and it's good to have someone to cry with.
William :-) - That´s a seafood-smile.
Jeanie, yes. We miss them forever...
