On The Bright Side
Stands are open!
I do wear my mask.
Up to the lips to breathe free, unless I get into a store, then fully, I keep the distance, too, certainly.
A short small talk with my masked bakery-woman. Only two people allowed in there and the masked man waits patiently.
Too much trust, leaving the backpack in the bike like that?
Or... a bomb?
Out of the shop... DOWN with that mask, weee - hope this is over come summer!
A woman getting in her car, ripping down her mask in relief, too! I see it, smile at her in understanding and she smiles back.
Would anything like that happened before "Corinna"? People understand each other by giving a smile, by looking in/out of the car to others?
Then there certainly was the dumb guy, a man in his 50´s on his push-bike, turning and fake-coughing at me, driving by.
I felt sorry for him, does dumbness hurt?
He certainly has proper masks!!
Up to 23C it went last Monday arvo!!!! Yipee!
But. Long weekened ahead, rainy, cold.
Let´s just hope most people stay friendly, right!
And... this is not about cooking, but meet Jamie!
It´s May already, the 1st, International Workers' Day, quietly this year.
A lille bit of irony.
On April 30th 2001 I applied at my former company, signed the contract at once.
And started May 2.
I so had wished to repeat this, but "Corinna" had other plans...
I made a wish again, cause I have... a...
I bought it sometime ago in Freo... maybe it works?

...I am looking forward to strawberry time here! Ingo is so handsome, take care and wear your mask.
I love the strawberry street art! I hope you enjoy asparagus season.
be well... mae at maefood.blogspot.com
I like the strawberry art.
Glad you are able to go out and enjoy the warmer weather Iris.
Have a lovely weekend.
The lockdown extended to mid May now! Seems never ending!
I had cheese cake and strawberries for lunch today, Nathalie wanted cheese cake and I didn't have the heart to refuse her. May your wishes be fulfilled, and pronto!
Strawberry Giant! I love it! I am so happy to hear that you now got outside but much more happier to read that you are still doing proper precaution! That old guy who faked cough is so not funny! That bike looks so cute Iris and those masks that Ingo wears are so cool!
Sending you hugs for the weekend Iris! I wish I can finish all my schoolwork tomorrow, guess I'll bring my laptop to my garden again for inspiration :)
Stevenson
I am glad you and that woman smiled at each other. Fast friends.
Our lockdown got extended to May 17th. There will be 5 stages we have to go through to be at the new normal. I had to laugh at your comment, "does dumbness hurt." :) My wife would say that guy has the Y problem. ;)
Have a nice new day. Sunny, rain off and on all day.
I love strawberries and I love asparagus, but not together (grin).
Ingo's masks are hilarious. They will look good on Halloween, but laughable during this virus crisis. I could relate to the woman getting her mask off. I felt the same way the first time I wore one. I didn't have anyone to smile at, though.
What a fun lion today.
I like the smile of understanding you exchanged with the lady in the car lowering her mask! I find I really miss talking to strangers... so strange to think about, but it used to be that’s when I’d pass people while walking , there would be an exchange ... at least a nod and smile. Maybe a quick comment on the weather ... now people just turn their heads away. . And I used to talk to people in the grocery stores or in line at the Deli or meat market or bakery. Now I don’t even go shopping. Crazy times. I did go to my daughters today and we took a long walk ... masked and not close together. But we talked. So that was wonderful! (The first time since we’ve been home that I’ve been out of our own neighborhood.).
We're having asparagus tomorrow night but it will b awhile before we have good strawberries! Glad you are still wearing your masks and being safe. Our weather has been really bad too -- lots of rain, but today was sunny. Always a treat! Have a nice weekend.
Tom :-) I am your Father!

_____
gigi, yes, some good in the bad... again!
____
Bill, the Y-problem, good one, I´ll remember that! Sunny, but cold, we´ll be off to the main post office, soon, no lockdown, so sorry about yours!!
____
Elizabeth, yes, off with the mask asap!!!! Wonder what would happen if Ingo really went outside like that??
____
Sallie, that is awful! Here we still can go outside, talk, with a distance, certainly, but talking is no problem!
Hope this crisis is over like very soon - one can wish, right?
____
Jeanie, we had rain. For 90 seconds and then later for 5 minutes.
Woods are in danger already, always sunny, yet cold.
Everything is crazy right now!
That's too trusting with the pack
Oh I will be glad when this virus is all done with and hopefully no more masks and people being impatient. Store are going to start opening here with lots of rules in place in a few weeks. That is ok but the rules are such a pain I try not to go out if I don't have to. Happy Saturday. By the way, I love Ingo's masks. Maybe he should wear those out. Hugs-Erika
William, yes, isn´t it!!!
____
Erika, don´t encourage Ingo... he might do that!! ;-)
I love strawberries!
