Sometimes We Fail
For days I was getting ready for my skype-job-interview, see letter "g".
I was going through it in my head and filled 2 1/2 sheets of paper - woke up at night in panic, have I forgotten something?
Last minute Ingo decided we better install Skype, though I was pretty sure it´s not necessary, we checked it - in the condo - I was rightin the end, it was not needed.
Bro WhatsApp'ed right after waking up to wish me luck.
As did T.
I asked my T for help on the day (yesterday), he had a microsoft-program, no installation needed, it worked, we checked sound and all.
Good. Certainly, with this high-quality mirco Ingo gave me.
Feels like starting a Queen-song!!
Interview-date: 01:00 pm.
Something went wrong, I never heard of them, wrong "ball".
Used their form, as my contact person is on holiday and gave no further contact person...
I drove Bro and T nuts, "what should I do???"
Found another mail from the contact person in the spam - how can that be, but there was a link. I was the only one attending the interview. I take it with humour, I try.
We are people and something went wrong.
I waited for 2 1/2 hours.
I grew older another 10 years in the process, I tell ya. I´m an introvert, it was a pain for days.
Let the contact person, the company via form (as there were no personal contacts), the contact person from the agency and the agency know what´d happened.
Now all I can do is wait.
At least I have it all ready to go in case the interview itself happens.
Do you have had "encounters" like that, also, how did you cope?
We´re all "people", something went wrong and I hope to hear something today...
Bro called me in the evening again to check back, so nice :-)

I am very happy and delighted that you are excited and looking forward dear Iris! I know that there are nerves, that is normal but I am very sure you can do this! I prayed for you last night on my Rosary and asked my group to add you in their prayers too! Wish you all the best dear Iris! I'm cheering for you from halfway around the world!
Thank you, Stevenson, that is very kind and thoughtful of you, thoughh I feel a tad embarassed that even your friends now have to care about me!
I hope to hear from that company today and get it over and done with...
Sie werden sicherlich anrufen, mach dir nicht so viele Sorgen! Dir trotzdem einen schönen Tag, ich hoffe dass das wetter dort auch schön ist. GlG, Valerie

Stevenson, I thank you!
Yes, I had a lot of support, also when Ingo was so sick, blogger-friends helped me very, very much!
New date in June for that interview!
Sadly I don´t see comments in my inbox no more, as said, blogger hates me - and yes, I checked spam, too, and my other inbox....
So thank you for letting me know about your comment in that ooooold post :-)

Manav, yes, I have a new date next month. I hope that´ll work out. Argh, darn "Corinna"! Normally we´d meet in person....
So ... you did everything for free! No interviu ... nothing! That is not so nice …
But, I can read that you are optimistic, so don't worry, everything will be fine!
About the croquettes ... I always use the deep fryer for baking. I never buy them baked from the stall ... the oil there is so dirty!
Enjoy your day baby, everything will be alright!
A little BIG hug for you! xoxo
Ella, new date in June for the interview.
I´ll take a look what kind of croquettes we get here. You cannot even buy some from a stall here, only in restaurants! Ewww, old oil, brrr...
Thank you, my dear, I will enjoy the day, I have a free day, after all, no waiting for someone to call or not to call!
A little BIG hug back xoxo
Things happen and we have to keep on going. I reckon at the moment that you are sitting another exam at the University of Hard Knocks. I've graduated from that place a few times now, and they still drag me back for refresher courses!
(I know your situation is not a laughing matter, but I hope a little humour helps you cope with it).
Hugz, Mxx
...Iris, you need to always remember, "Don't Stop Me Now!!!"
Thank you, Margaret, I will remember adding the University of Hard Knocks to my resumee!!! LOL! You´re too funny, boy, is it tempting to really do this!!! :-)
Ixx, thank you for the laugh!!

Tom, yes, that was the intention, don´t stop me, now, never!
Interviewing is such stress. Take a breath. Try to keep calm. It all works out in the end as they say. Keeping my fingers crossed all results are good from here on out. Hugs-Erika
Erika, new date is only in June. Time to stay nervous ;-)
Hugs, Iris
Oh, all the preparation for nothing, what a pity Iris. At least you are well prepared for the next date and hopefully they won't forget the interview again.
Enjoy the rest of the week.
Sami, yes to both!!!
And dito, long weekend to come over here :-)
Oh my gosh what a pain Iris, you got all hyped up and then nothing! Still as you say these things happen and you are super prepared for the June interview.. don't think about it now until the day before ok 😉
Grace, yes, I will try, and yes, a pain!
Let´s see what happens...
Technology is not my friend and causes me so much stress!
Well, yes, BUT, from my side it worked! With a lille help of my friends ;-)
Definitely frustrating for sure but you are ready. It will come and eventually be in the rearview mirror. Very warm here, 23C
Enjoy your evening, Iris.
I don't know whether to laugh or cry for you. Oh my.
Yes, Bill, it was frustrating... Wow, 23! We have 12 and still no rain. Another sunny day, let´s enjoy!

gigi, that is a very good question and you made me do the first! :-)
So sad how you were treated. Here we make appointments for everything and only one person let in at a time if in person. Good luck on your next interview, dear.
It happens, but I can see that being frustrating.
You had to be so frustrated, Iris. But you were so ready and that's a big plus. And ready for the next time. It's very frustrating not knowing what happened. There could be a number of good reasons, although it's hard to see a good reason for not at least alerting you that there would be no meeting. I hope all will be rescheduled and it was just some sort of mix-up.
