Came home from shopping groceries, walking home, when... see title (DING-DING-DING!!!).
Boooy!!!! 👿
See the pic - it´s a small sideWALK.
Walk. For walking!!!!
I turned around and guess.
It was W on his push-bike!!! With the biggest grin, too.
(This really is his bike)
He was fooling me!!! 🤣
Ow. We talked like forever, he still misses his late wife so badly, his kids still don´t care - and YET!!!
He keeps his humor - bet I gave a very nasty look at first, LOL.
There are many push-bikers who speed on the sidewalk like crazy - W does not, it was a joke.
DING-DING-DING - keep your humor and be there for others, right?
Henry 🦁
"You really fell for W´s joke!"
Guilty. But the chat was nice, ole boy!

People ride on the footpaths here too and if I see them coming I will step aside, but if they come from behind, they don't ding their bell and I get a small shock as they whizz past. Just yesterday I was about to step sideways to miss a puddle and a bike whooshed past me. If I stepped sideways he would have crashed right into me! That was scary.
That bell is a wonderful one. It suits 'his boss' very well.
River, yes!!!! Exactly! What if a little kid runs out of the door, thinking it´s safe on the sidewalk!
When we still went to Schadt´s (a Pub) it´s clear that at some point in time the waiter will step outside with a plate full of food, or, worse, big glasses full of beer. Bikers nearly hit him often, always yelling there.

Bertiebo, yes, and that thing is loud, too, LOL!
..it nice to have W as a friend.
Yes, I fail to understand how he takes it all, though, all the sadness. He has a strong soul and heart!
That's a nice bike. I had a bell on my bike as a kid too. I'd like both of those right now, but only if it was flatter land where I live. I hate peddling up big hills. Happy weekend Iris. hugs-Erika
Hills I hate per se ;-) To a nice weekend, hugs!
I like it best when bikes ride in the street, but sometimes the streets aren't safe enough for that.
W must be happy when he meets up with you.
Oh most of the cyclist here are so rude. The won't ding, or even let you know they are coming behind you. Every road in my town has a bike lane but most use the main road lane and won't get out of the way for cars. Many casualties here with cyclists hitting pedestrians here. Yes, they are mostly tourists.
