This is for Elizabeth´s T-Day... hmmm, it really tasted like strawberries!
Other, only my journal:
Monday: Tee-weather, yayyyyyy - off to the bakery in the warm sun! Finally!
Went later to get groceries from Ingo´s car.
A man stood right beside spraying something on a plant.
He stopped, went over, told me this is organic poison to save the box-tree and won´t touch or even if hurt the car. We had a nice chat, I live in a good neighborhood 😊
And now I know what a box-tree is!
Tuesday: Started work at 06:00 am to have all ready for J and go early to LIDL to get Greek, black olives, hmmmm. A special offer.
Let me tell you: peeps who can read... oh, well, it was a nice early morning walk. 1.5km one way - I was surprised how quick I was, 20 minutes.
And then... no Euro. Darn it. No trolley?!
A woman spontanously went at me, her trolley was for free, problem solved, and she got her Karma points.
Olives: Thursday, though!
For-now-Teamleader N really thanked me for my quick work - Frankfurt-project was "burning", or... still is and later J was there for help. I managed to give boss O the NEARLY perfect document to sign quick hence.
NEARLY cause... there is a position no one knows what it is, "Mm". It sneaked back in!
N said, we call it Mamfred (there is a German name: Manfred) and it will be our secret code 😁 Did I mention we are there for each other?
I soooo hope I keep the job!
Mamfred. 🤣🤣🤣
Wednesday: Perfect summer day, 27C/81F, sunny, bliss!
Me: 10 hours of concentrated work, only 1 - nice and helpful meeting, the rest by myself, YAY for work-experience, a beginner would´ve been lost!
So: Yay for being old(er).
Spontanous mini-meetings, too.
Saw the plants are thirsty: First watering of the year!!! Summer!
Then Sport with DE, just one session and out with a book, YAY.
Thursday: Got up at 5:00, surfed, "went to work" at 06:00, at 07:00 set status to "will be back soon" and in the wonderful sun went to LIDL again and by golly, came home with so many cool goodies I actually didn´t plan to get!
Went for Greek olives but... see later here.
Was back even before 08:00 and worked again.
Teamleader M (I have two projects) asked if I´d slept in, teasing me, of course - I´d e-mailed him in my first mini-work-shift and for once someone looked at the time-stamp!
Don´t you just love the "new normal"? You are free with your time-slots!
All in all 9 hours again, though. Imagine you have to drive 30 minutes to and 45 minutes back on top!!
Did all that pre-Corinna. Without meeting the customer, what nonsense, and over years!
A bit sport with DE, oh, come on the morning walk was 3 km, and fast, counts as sport (for me).
Friday: Soon-to-be-teamleader´s bye-bye is "Tschüssi, Ciao", sweet (I think he´s from Brazil or such, speaks good German).
Had a real tough job in Frankfurt to do, weee too much responsibility. Daily WhatsApp, my T: "you can do it!" with 👍🍀 - Denmark at the side all the time, argh, two projects is a pain.
Meeting with now-teamleader - we chatted about... Australia for at least half an hour, LOL.
Back to business and when I asked if he wants to be in CC for that important part he declined, saying "you can do that".
By golly, I hope I did! Soooo much new stuff!
Boy it was windy, my recycle bottles nearly took off!
Time for sport.
Weekend:
We went to the botanical garden, nice - the public loo on the bridge is for men only, please, give me some logic?!!
Nothing for women!!!
"We" have to be strong and make it home, huh?
Food-wise....
Olives from LIDL.
I prepare so I can "cook" and eat my lunch in 30 minutes max.
How do you do it?
And certainly.... "HE" is back...
To Tuesdays, looking forward to see your entry 😊
Henry 🦁
And.... no ad, I don´t get money for this but I want to share again as I think more bloggy-friends have a look here:
We are one, right? 🌻💙💛
I´m still in contact with my ex-teamleader who is planning another help-trip to Kiev with goods come Thursday. I gave money because I know it´s in safe hands - if you want to join, you can do here.
See... This is him.
Ex-teamleaders haunt me. LOL.
Never gave him my number yet... WhatsApp...!
And, yes. He does not drive to the frontier, he goes all the way to Kiev, bridge bombed or not.
He has family in this "city", or what is left of it.
I spare you the bad pics he sent as well.
He and his team help for real.
I do know everybody in Ukraine needs help, but I think Put#n is especially after Kiev.
Save this city, save Ukraine, save freedom for all of us.
I can give you my word. your money goes to the people in need.
I once donated for a German trallala - I got cheap plastic bags, CDs and what-nots, and thought, ohhhh, THERE my money went!
Not with E.
You will help people for real here. Braunschweig helps....

I really like to see your diary. With those nice drawings
Thank you :-)
I heard on the news just now that Zelensky has given up Mariupol, so that he can get his wounded soldiers out. This makes me sad, giving up a part of his country, but I'm glad the soldiers got out.
...it seems that beer came be made out just about anything!
River, indeed, that is sad. It will make the Russians fight even harder, I fear.

Tom, yes, it´s an exciting world, taste-wise :-)
You keep very interesting picture journal. Your work keeps you busy. Hope your company appreciate your good work. The weather sounds nice. Pray your ex-team leader will be safe travelling to and fro in his missions.
Sounds like you had a good week Iris (ps think of your name being for the lovely blooms of the flower Iris) and I do enjoy your journal entries.
If I could drink beer (has be gluten free) I would love to try your strawberry beer Happy T hugs
Nancy, yes to all!

Kathy, well, my Mum sure would love that thought of the flower :-)
So sorry you cannot have gluten!
We had great weather last week too and drank a raspberry cider!

Deb, I´m sorry, LOL. Yes, the strawberry really came out! Yum and hugs.
I've never tried or heard of strawberry beer, but i imagine it could be refreshing in Summer, once in a blue moon I do like a shandy when it gets hot.
Amy, yes, it was super-yummy, a taste of summer! And I have strawberries growing on the balcony - picked by my Mum in 1974 with me.
I am amazed at the interesting flavors of beer that are available. I don't drink beer but I am enticed by anything strawberry flavored.
Hoping your strawberry plants do well this year. I just planted mine last years so not much yield but I am hoping for a good crop this year.
As always, I love seeing your week in journal format, Iris.
Happy Tea Day,
Kate
As always, I loved your calendar pages and drawings. You had a very busy week. That strawberry beer sounds good, even if I don't drink anything but stout. Thanks for sharing your busy week and your beer with us for T this Tuesday, dear Iris.
Interesting week you've had as journalled!
I did get walk in this morning.
Coffee is on and stay safe
Kate, my strawberries are from 1974! :-) From the woods. My Mum plucked them "with" me and yes, I hope for some tiny yum - good luck to yours, too.

What a fabulous, upbeat post! I'm so glad all is going well with work. I'm thinking you can stop worrying about keeping the job! I love olives. Your lunch looks great!
Oh my Iris, what a busy week! Strawberry beer sounds good to me even though I don't normally drink beer! I do so love seeing your illustrations in your diary! Belated Happy T Day, Chrisx
Your ex-teamleader must be a very good person, he is doing well there helping people. I love your diary again this week, it's so descriptive, and we have strawberries growing too but we don't need to water them as it won't stop raining lol Happy T Day! Elle/EOTC xx
You always do such great drawings in your journal. I can't get one started but have thought about it. Anyway, I enjoy yours. Happy T Day!
