T STands For HoT

My entry to Elizabeth´s T: Fruity Mulled Wine à la Henry... warms you up through and through!

Other ... journal if you care just yet again... It´s fun this time (well, in the making)!
Beaker starts... do you remember that guy from The Muppet´s Show?
I hope my colleagues do not - because the "Mi-Mi-Mi" I picked up at Siemens, yet, it represents the same panic! 🤣

Wiki (Germany): Beaker is the hapless assistant to Prof. Dr. Honeydew Bunsenbrenner. ... Prof. Dr. Honeydew Bunsenbrenner explains to the viewers what Beaker is going to test, and his typical reaction is twisted, help-seeking eyes and his hysterical "Mi, Mi, Mi".

My parents sat me in front of the telly at young age thinking this show is for kids - now it came back to me and I had not even a clue... fitting!

Monday: Boy-oh-boy-oh-boy!!! 05:06 - phone call from Ingo, I hear but chhhrchhhhh. It´s but 2C - is he in an accident?! Panic-mode!
All good. His butt or who-/whatever accidentially called me.
Work. Concentrated. OMG!!! 07:02 already!!! Bakery: No halbes Glattes no more for Ingo.
Baker-Lady called the partner.
07:02 a.m. and Ingo´s bread is gone!!! And I only want one half!
She reserved it for me at the other place and laughed real hard when I told her it´s not even for me!
Later at the other place... known baker lady said "good-bye, Mrs K :-)!"
We live in a huuuuuuge village!
MONDAY MORNO!!!!
What will the week have for me?!

(You see... I make daily notes, otherwise I lose track)

Ewwww... to-be-teamleader needs a tooth OP! Poor man, that (glad we have these opportunities, but ewwww!!!)

Got myself a Gurri-to go - see here for all, if you like, she is CUTE🧡

Bakery, doctor, counts as sport.

Tuesday: Proofreader really got mad (hrgh, why does everyone call ME?!) and in the end we laughed about peeps being glued to their cells when walking and how you needed to "shut down the internet" when you wanted to make a phone call.
And that Ingo´s Granma always heard when I went online .. beeeep, meeep, chhhhrrr, the joy of a 56k-modem! And certainly she thought this was illegal anyways.

Today... what do we do without internet?

Sport again yipeee.

Wednesday: 8 hours "only"! And my mini-holiday was granted.
I´ll throw a mini-party when the taxes are done (teamleader has the same problem, I am not alone! We can read and write yet THAT... a pain.).
Proofreader called me in dismay again. Oh, we still have chaos. And the Spanish colleagues are... on holiday! We have till Dec 9th and they go on holiday. Beats me.
I am not allowed to alter Spanish documents, so we need their input.

Later: I learned we have 1000 species of spiders in Germany.
I saw an interview with  one:

Charlotte, sitting to my right in her web listened carefully 🕷🕸

They sleep up to twelve hours and even have REM-phases - and are very clean.
And some are cheaters!!!
Some males wrap up dirt instead of a fly as pressie and hope the female does not realize in time.
Wow - we are alike, humans and spiders! No need (HERE) to be afraid of them (I once nearly touched a redback in Darwin, uhhhhh!).

Time runs too fast, can someone please make it slow down?

Thursday:  Got greeted with sparkling wine!
Baby is on the "t"rails" soon!!!!
Since I went on your nerves here goes (again):

Teamleader wrote to Proofreader and me our Tram is on the way part #1!
He wrote "Hi you two" and even gave a "huge" thank you.
Boy, it´s too cold for sparkling wine (and too early 😉)

Proofreader sent a link and I can officially present:

You can read all the amazing gadgets she has here (just use Deepl or such).
Since December 12th you can ride her! Yippeeee! (still a lot to deliver, this was a compromise)

Glad I watched the news on Wednesday - 11:00 am my  cell went off screaming!!!! A test run, Germany-wide for in case of emergency. Need to make an emergency-"parcel" to grab if there is really something up! Do you have such an emergency-thingy?

Tired and cold all day migraine-like headache, no appetite.
Went to bed 08:10 p.m. - all night with severe headache, awful.

Friday: Knackered from last day and night, but by lunch it got a bit better. Slow work.
Hours for the year signed. Can you believe that. 2022 is over (too) soon.
It was the toughest, yet best work year in my life.
Well, after mini-holiday#1 (taxes, cleanup) there is one more work week and that was that then.

Weekend:
Saturday: Was getting better, head nearly pain-free and I could eat again.
Sunday: Sleep in, the perfect egg for lunch, Löwenzahn, Die Maus, Beauty And The Beast.
Ingo was knackered, so I had time for myself, which I needed, thinking of doing the taxes was sitting in my neck anyways... so I did the journal and some sketching, having Henries dancing for me - video to come for Christmas.

Food.. we were all "running"...

"Art"-wise since I know most of you love sweets:

I didn´t buy it.
Ingo comes home sick often these days cause colleagues bring in Christmas-sweets to share.
Does this man ever learn?
"Frohes Fest" means... well, "happy season´s greetings".

Henry 🦁

Hope you behaved and enjoy it, Son...

I love the snow man. Yes, so many butts dial the phone. My Mom used to dial her phone to me from her purse. I LOVE Beaker! He's a crack up.

LOL. To butts or purses!
And Beaker(s). Crazy how it took me so long to find out!
In my defense... I was 3-4 years old... Mi-Mi-Mi!

Your art is always so expressive Iris. I love to see it. And I take it you loved Charlotte's Web too. Isn't it a super book? And it's fun to see your Charlottes too. I hope you don't have any migraines this week and are having a super T day. hugs-Erika

Mulled wine sounds delicious.

Most of the spiders here are harmless to people, but there are a few scary ones.

Happy T Tuesday!

Take it easy and get better. I don't like spiders at all.

Sounds like another good week but a busy one. I love it when they greet you with a glass of sparkling wine at a party!

Love your journal pages, Iris. Take care of yourself.

That was the week that was! And Baby is nearly running! Wow! all good stuff. Except for the Spaniards. Yes, we had several holidays in one week, and many people just take the week off.
Sorry to hear you have such bad headaches, but it is the release of all the stress. Just take it easy.
Happy T-Day,
Hugs,
Lisca

Hey your week was as busy as ever. I know you will get those taxes done and then have a bit of time for yourself. It is cold here too. Lots of rain, and snow in the high country. Have a great evening, Iris.

I'm so glad everything has worked out. I love your Charlotte's web with Charlotte in it. I have never read that book or seen the movie. Maybe one day I will.
Sesame Street was made for children as a learning program. my kids loved it and learned some things that I didn't teach them. They LOVED the Swedish Chef who threw ingredients up in the air and down would come a platter with a properly cooked meal on it. I remember Beaker.
I think Ingo should refuse the sweets, tell others such foods make him ill.
It is so cold here (where is our spring/summer?) Cookie Baer is wearing a scarf around his neck.

Iris Flavia said...

DIvers and Sundry, yes, that wine sure does good. And that spider in the interview was cute :-)

____

Bill, I don´t like them either, but after learning a bit they ain´t that bad no more...

____

Jeanie, sadly the wine still waits. It´s really too cold...

____

RedPat, thank you, aw, well, it´s but a cold. Only nasty...

____

Lisca, yes, it was a bit of a pain, LOL! Our tram is build in your place and they do not see the importance of documentation. It´s the stupid German who wants everything documented perfectly and in German...
Head is good again, hugs!

____

Mae, thank you! Funny, cause... I have no patience for those, it´s all quick-quick.quick.

____

Jo, I still sneeze and cough my head off. Great holiday. I feel like Mi-Mi-Mi! ;-) Hugs

____

Nicole, I promise I start today with the taxes. Never had a cold in a long time, forgot how tiring that is.

Another busy week. Butt dialing! Get the blood pounding until you realize its nothing. Since Himself is a chemist, we love Bunsen Honeydew and his lab assistant Beaker. Gluhwein sounds perfect for these cold snowy days. I'm glad you had time for yourself. Take care and Happy T Day

Iris Flavia said...

Well, you´re pretty awake then!
As kid I sure was afraid of the Bunsenbrenner - the noise alone... huhhhhh.
Yes, to Glühwein and time!

The wine sounds good, life sounds busy, challenging, and fun too. Love your journaling as always (and your post). We do have the warnings here in the U.S. - for child abductions, national emergencies, weather warnings. It is so strange to be in a crowd when everyone's cell phone warning goes off at the same time - freaks me out every time. Happy T-day and wishing you a good rest of the week! Hugz

Your fruity wine sounds wonderful. I could drink it too, I think.

Your calendar is always fun to read and I love the sugar candied snowman. Thanks for sharing your art, your calendar, and your hot wine with us for T this week, dear Iris.

Kate Yetter said...

That salad look delicious with the citrus in it.
Your snowman is fabulous, as is your journal pages. I had to laugh about Ingo and the sweets...that's what my husband says to me, "will you ever learn that that makes you sick." I guess Ingo and I have something in common.
Happy Belated Tea Day, iris.

Hello there Iris! Hubs and i remember having gluhwein while doing Volksmarches in Germany when we lived there for 3 years... miss that! I do apologize for being late! Not 5 minutes after i linked up to the T party.. hubby walks in and says ' We need to go to the hospital'... sigh.. He had tried to cut off his fingers with a power tool! So several hours and 12 stitches and one broken finger later.. he's doing okay... Happy Belated T day! Hugs! deb
