FFO, Smiles, Yum And...

With this fearful face I just saw on TV I join Nicole´s FFO. I am in fear, too.

I try to find some smiles for Annie.
Addendum: Annie is on holiday. But Smiles and Funnies are good anyways?

Well, this is but from the internet.
But makes one smile, huh?
We made a deal: I do the dishes, Ingo toast Hawaii. I did my part.

Flowers from Ingo. Now since days no word. I do not know why.
I feel like Walter, though:
Try to smile, days go by, we he have eternity after all (not).

Stupid me had my cam NOT with me on nice summer mornings.
I learned in Australia bins are emptied automatically.
In Germany we still have humans who stand on the back of the truck to collect  the bins by hand.

Once a super sexy guy, waving at me and another time a very beautiful blonde woman showering me with a big smile.
Wonder why they collect rubbish bins?Especially in summer... smelly.
At least they come weekly, I have no idea what to do about this:

Ingo buys and buys and buys and never takes care of the DARN shit that comes along with it.
I am the idiot who will have to cut it down and transport it by hand to the public containers cause ours is ALWAYS full.I don´t want no more.

Try to see it with a laugh:

When KFC came to Braunschweig it was super-yummy and once in a while (every third month)  I stopped on the way home from work from Wolfsburg.
Near IKEA another one opened and Ingo and I stopped there, too, yum.
We came from his Brother who lives in Emden and stopped there, again. I needed to go pee and I am quick - ask any girlfriend of mine, I am long gone - including washing hands - before they even get up!
Or ask my male colleagues from back then, for that matter. I don´t know what other women do on the toilet, I go pee, wash my hands, that´s about that.
Mirror too high? I do not need to see my face to wash my hands...

This time Ingo already had the floppy food that was kept warm for hours. No more KFC.
The man would turn in his grave knowing what became of his business.

I am sorry if these funnies are not so funny today. I don´t feel good. Must´ve done something wrong and am not told what. So I cannot do it better.

Did it wrong.

The new series:

"These inventions are older than you think

 Dry cleaning

In the United States (and elsewhere), black inventors have long been denied patents for their original inventions for racial reasons. Many of us don't realize how many inventions that make our everyday lives easier come from Black inventors, including dry cleaning, developed by Thomas Jennings, the first African American inventor to be granted a patent. Jennings invented dry cleaning in 1821, almost two and a half decades before the first dry cleaning business opened its doors in Paris."

...Iris, I love the sandwich. Remind me again, what is Hawaii toast? I've been to Hawaii and I don't think that they know what it is either! Amazon must be the largest consumer of cardboard boxes. Please tell Ingo that it's HIS job to flatten the boxes and take them to recycling!!! Be well.

I assume you are as lazy as I am so I´ll let you know on yours what is Toast Hawaii :-)
And if someone reads in here: Wiki:

"Toast Hawaii is an open sandwich consisting of a slice of toast with ham and cheese, and a maraschino cherry in the middle of a pineapple slice, baked so that the cheese starts to melt.[1] It was made popular by the West German TV cook Clemens Wilmenrod in the 1950s. It is likely that it was adapted from the "Grilled Spamwich" found in a 1939 Spam cookbook[2] and brought to West Germany by American G.I.s. Spam was not available in Germany's grocery stores so Wilmenrod replaced it with a slice of cooked ham.[3] "

Here the truck has a "claw grip" on the side that grabs the bin and dumps it into the top of the truck. So, I have to fit all those boxes into the bin.

We just had our garbage collection during the night. We have to cut up the boxes and then tie them and put them out beside the bin and the guys throw them into their truck.

Fun face and enjoyed the Smiles! (KFC!)

We have automated garbage pick up twice a week. Tuesday for recycled and Friday for regular trash. That car and woman joke made me laugh.

I thought the funnies were funny, I even sent a couple to my kids. I like the sandwiches with cheese teeth and cucumber eyes. I always cut up the boxes here too, because there is no one else and if I do the buying then I should do the clean up. I wish other people here would learn, they take their boxes to the recycle bin and just cram it in there, leaves no room for other rubbish, so I take it out and tear it or cut it to make enough room. It's one bin for four flats and only emptied every fortnight.

Our bins get emptied every fortnight here by the local council, a truck comes around and the workers empty it. I hope you had a lovely xmas, ours was very quet.

Faces, faces everywhere. I love them all, especially your art. Good funnies too. Ohhh I am so lucky that Mr. M. cuts down the cardboard for me. Thank you for joining FFO and Happy New Year.

Hi, Iris! I read a comment of yours on one of Tom's posts that you and Ingo were experiencing some differences. I'm so sorry that this has been happening. I hope things get better soon! I'm the one who deals with all the cardboard boxes in our house, and all the recycling too. It gets old for sure. I love Walter's story! I swear pets can tell time. I enjoyed all the funnies! The Hawaiian toast made me laugh. All the best to you! ❤️

I don't know if I could eat sandwich with eyes looking at me, but boy is it cute. And thanks for the Star TRek meme. I had a good laugh, and when the hubby asked me what was so funny, I told him about it and he laughed too. Hope you had a great holiday week Iris. I took a few days off from blogging. hugs-Erika

Yes, they are funny!

Hi Angela, we have no family to visit and we have no kids, so Christmas to us is but a time-out. To seeing you in the New Year, hugs

Not allowed here! Boxes is paper and has to go to the paper-bin. I´ll have to cut them down, but certainly now all containers are full to the brim.

Iris Flavia said...

We have extra trucks for paper and sadly dumb people do not cut up and space for others is gone. The public containers have but small slots so for that they have to cut. And all... full to the brim.

Iris Flavia said...

Just sad - or maybe good? - KFC here went down the drain.

Iris Flavia said...

Twice a week, wow.Here... I actually don´t know, every two weeks or even once a month? It´s not funny.

Iris Flavia said...

Paper goes extra here and too many dumb-heads cramp the boxes in, too. Here EVERYTHING is full. Also the public bins (that have small slots). Those boxes will remain here till next year ☹

Iris Flavia said...

Our bins... different days (of course) for green, yellow, blue, grey and not often enough. My Christmas was pretty lonely...

Iris Flavia said...

Lucky you, I will have to cut them down next year cause ALL paper-bins, private and public are full. I likely look like Maggie...

Iris Flavia said...

Fundy Blue, we plan to talk today. Wish me luck. 🧡 No, that is no Toast Hawaii, it looks like this.

That Sandwich is far too cute to eat! Yes, we should take Spock´s word by the heart - nice your Hubby and you share the same humor! I´ll check if came back already, hugs

Nice funny sandwich. I had a bad experience at KFC and haven't eaten their chicken since the 90s. Ok, I'm on a roll so have a great day. :)

Hawaiian style food here indicates that pineapple is involved. Usually, it’s pizza with pineapple on it.
Funny thing: commercial pineapple growers are no longer cultivating pineapples in Hawaii. Too labor-intensive.
Have a good New Year: better than this one… mae at maefood.blogspot.com

Choose one sturdy box and cut down all the others to fit into it, that will take up less space until you can get them to the bin. It's what I do.

Iris Flavia said...

Bill, this is so sad - KFC was so yummy once!

Iris Flavia said...

Yes, that Pizza we have, too and I bet Italians throw a fit when they see you getting it, LOL.
The year was not that bad...
