All went extremely well.
Crazy was: Saw the move "What about Sal" on the plane - that took me straight back to 1995, when I visited Australia the very first time! It played in Kings Cross, Glebe (Sydney).
If weird with Deutsche Bahn, of course... Instead from Franfkurt Airport to Braunschweig Main Train Station we needed to go from Franfkurt Airport to Franfkurt Main Train Station.
Platform 9. Changed to 8. Changed to 7... And of course too late...
Yet, we were there at 2:20 p.m. and home via tram soon later.
And boy, I needed a while! Backpack nearly 5, suitcase nearly 18 kg. I sure was shaking.
Temps Frankfurt 5C, Braunschweig then already 16, sunny.
Whilst I type Ingo went to REWE to get us something to eat - isn´t he the best?!

Hello Iris,
Welcome home, glad you arrived safely and your luggage was not lost. Hello to Henry! Take care, enjoy your day!
Welcome back home Iris-hugs
Hello Eileen
thank you, yes, Singapore Airlines is quite reliable, luckily!
Thank you, Kathy, hugs. It was tough to say good-bye...
Glad the trip went well and you are safely at home π
Welcome back!
That is indeed a different Kings Cross, hahaha! Take your time in getting used to normal life
Dear friend Iris, the fruit looks delicious. Ingo has good taste. π
Welcome back, my cherished friend, I am so happy π you are back.
Sending you warm hugs π« π€ ❤️ and love.
Yes, well... it´s always sad to leave and I always buy too much and am knackered from all the carrying, but I never learn! π
Thank you.... Life has to get back to normal...
OH, YES. Reckon no "adult-shops" people want to drag you in, LOL! It was really... oh, boy!
Thank you, dear friend Linda. I so would love to stay there for good, even if it was in that cabin! I don´t need much, neither does Ingo... but, alas! Once you hit 50 that was that... Warm hugs π« π€ ❤️ and much love back.
...it's good to hear that all went well.
Welcome back and you made it with no problems. Those weeks went by very fast. Now you need to rest and get used to the time change once again. :)
Welcome back home ...
All the best Jan
Yes! Much better than expected, much, much better! Thanks to Ingo!
Yes, my stomach, too, argh! Getting old!
Thank you - well, life has to go on here, sadly...
Dear friend Iris, I have come back to look at your fruit plate!!! Let's see...kiwi, strawberries, not sure about the rest, but I bet it was scrumptious!
Henry is so cute in miniature form! LOL!
I posted a short health update on my blog.
Sending you much love and hugs, as always!
I am so happy you are back!
Are you glad to be home? Your trip went so fast this year. I hope you have some trip posts to come once you get settled back at home. Do you find that you have jet lag? hugs-Erika
Dear friend Linda, the rest is mango :-)
Ow, well, if we could we would stay in Madeley!
Henry says thank you and I hop over to yours now, much love and hugs!
Noooooo..... All the "see you in two years" did hurt a bit! A lot. And yes, when you lay awake at 3:something and your tummy hurt from hunger... jet lag!
Oh, yes. 1.544 pics/movies I took - and Ingo has some in addition!!! I think Thursdays will be "Aussie/Perth-days" for quite a while! I hope I won´t bore you, hugs!
Your fruit looks delicious except the mango which I do not like. In the past it would have been easier to buy things and post them to your home, but now postage is so expensive, but also your suitcase is so heavy.
Your mangoes are much better and yes, too expensive to post - sad and contra-productive!!!
But... I made it - all is home :-)
Welcome home,Iris! I can bet you are exhausted. Rest well!
Thank you, Sue!
