Perth XIV

Thursday we didn´t do much, Friday H took us to Joondalup Shopping Centre - it was a treat, I don´t get tired of looking around. On the way was an IKEA, but, alas, we have one near our home in Braunschweig, so, after a second of thinking about going, we skipped, sorry, H ;-)

Saturday we went to ... see pic above, via Warwick:

To you this may be a "questionable" cause ordinary pic to post. To me it´s special.
I still have the stations prompted/called out by the system´s voice in Aussie English in my ear - that will fade soon, you just don´t hear it over here...

As said, from Warwick to...

and from there on to Freo

For lunch we had.. yep, the in Germany not known yummy..

pie :-)
Maybe not healthy, but we were on holiday, right? Quick, yummy, handy: Pie!

A seagull - as said, when not trying to catch fish: Beautiful birds that always remind me of the sea, any sea, I love the sea!

Sadly I don´t like coffee (much/seldom), but that sign is just great, no?
Sitting here, freezing my butt off (heating didn´t work properly today), seeing those guys in short clothes and thongs... ahhhh...

We needed a refreshment (Sail and Anchor Amber Ale, yes I know you guessed;-)...) - beautiful entrance hall, no?

Grace, if you happen to read along, I bet you know who this guy was? - Not Ingo ;-)

Guess by now it´s not "just art", but some local scientist, artist?
There was another statue of a war-pilot, too, also a local, I can imagine...
And, yes. We even had H´s smartphone with us and could´ve looked it up - but I assumed, as said, it´s "just a piece of art"...

Liked those artistically painted piers:

Beautiful, no?

Somewhere on the way...

warming my heart :-)

We also visited the markets - you can run, you can hide, Germany gets us, if it is just a Mettwurst ;-)

"Authentic German Bratwurst"

I have one thing to say... or two.
They sure do look like German Bratwurst - we didn´t try them, though.
Aussies are great in making Jerky, Pies, Coon... but sausage? No.
As said - we didn´t try those, but they look like ours.

It was too crowded in there, so we left.

Crepe Suzette.... as Simpson´s fan (and someone who doesn´t care about sweets, hence not knowing about the actual sweet stuff´s history) I had to take a pic, right? Le Comte de Monte-Cristo... he says "revenge"!!! ;-)

A technical school in such a building...

Guess that´s Aussie-style? Over here it´s never done that well to connect old and new...

Speaking of... the new architecture blends in beautifully in Freo as well, not dominating, but being there here, too:

Love that.

Also how much is done to decorate for Christmas so nicely, so beautiful - not done over here!
You may kinda take it for granted, I always go ohhhh and ahhh...

May also be cause of the blue sky and the temps ;-)

Also love how you play around with letters. Over here they just mix both languages like in "Kaffee to go" or "Taschen for sale" - plain stupid.
This...

is funny in my eyes.

Red, if you happen to peek in here - I went outside again to get the cam to take this loo-pic, just shortly before our train departed.
BTW: I enjoy your January-loo-pic "The little loo of one thousand dreams", with this being my birthday-month.
One thousand dreams... for me? :-)

This one has style, a pure reminder of some days ago and if I understood right there are no men/women-sections, either...

Yes, this is the train station Freo, from here on we went to Subi.

One day, two posts - I need to finish this one here cause a) it´s getting late, b) too much a pic galore, already, right?
But sorry, this is not "ordinary" but from a German bloke´s eye :-)

Oh, Grace, sorry, no, we just strolled through Freo rather by chance...
