Two Books For Thirty-Five Minutes

Pic: Alte Waage with St. Andreas in the background, with 93 meters the highest spire in town - Ingo was there! (I´m afraid of heights).

I needed a new prescription, but the doctor couldn´t give it to me cause last he´d seen me in September.

Where´s the logic, I don´t know... I´d gotten an appointment in three weeks or I could come early, take a ticket and wait.

If you know me... I got up early and made my way through the dark city.

Guess the party was over here ;-)

The city was still sound asleep, just those who clean up were there.
Here you can see Katzenbalgen, since 30 years cats fight here (pics at daylight).
It´s a reminder that in earlier years many cats lived here, it´s called Kattreppeln, hence.

Hmmmm Pizza Hut - sadly it´s too far away to take one home and - apart from the fact that they certainly were closed - they stopped selling single slices.

But it tastes different from Australia anyway.
Not that I had one in Perth this time, somehow we were always too busy and in the city is no Pizza Hut.

Maybe next time.
They said they open at 08:00, so 07:30 I was there.

07:35 a man came, then another. Luckily they opened the entry door, waiting in 4C is no fun.
We all waited in front of the doctor's office till 08:00, by then "we" were way over 10 people. Luckily I hadn´t only grabbed the hardcover-book, but a smaller paperback-book as well to read standing there.

The receptionist remembered I was first, I got a ticket, went to the waiting room, took a seat and kept on reading . For 5 minutes, then the doctor called me in!

Two books for this?
Well I assumed I may have to wait till 11:30...

So, 08:10 (yes, I was in 5 minutes and got the exact same prescription as before) I was on my way home, the shops, apart from bakerys, were still closed.

I wondered about these models - are they meant to "be pregnant"?

And this...

... is not a chiropractor. Guess non-German tourists shake their heads when they see this.
It´s a bakery, they mixed in Back from backen, to bake...

Does the driver of this car have a job that´s not much respected?

Well this Hausmeister must think so! Otherwise his car wouldn´t read "Facility Management"... poor guy.

I "forgot" to post about this Monday. We certainly went to the city. My friend P had an idea where to professionally take care of Grace´s kookaburra-painting - they had closed due to inventory...

At least I wanted some fresh tea and guess who sat inside the tea-shop?

On the Christmas market Ingo bought me the microwave "Stripey Tiger Duck.

Unexpectedly the Stripey Tiger himself was there and so...

And in the tourist office we got this "idea-storer":

That´s 2 GB!
Clever idea, no?

Well, what do I do with my unexpectedly early day off?
I finally clean the floors very properly - spring-cleaning in January. Because, I admit, I didn´t dare to "play" with the heating system, 15 C inside, tea and work it is :-)

Yips, I prefer summer, too, Grace! But the days are getting longer already :-)
