Small Guest, Huge Impression
Took me "a while" to find out about this one...
Friday at work I turned on the light and there was a buzzing sound. Colleague M said, a bee or wasp.
We paid no more attention and the lille bugger was gone after a while, too.
Later Ingo came to fetch me from work, I got new sneakers, which means I bent down and all.
A last time we sat outside at Schadt's...
We then went to get a raincover for my backpack and just before we entered the store I had the feeling a needle goes in my arm.
Which, certainly, is not possible.
We talked to the staff, I got what I wanted and once outside I took off my jacket and my sweater and Ingo found the sting of a bee in my arm - ouchy!
On we went to the steak-house and you could already see where that darn bee got me, Ingo ordered ice...
My eyes itched, then my ears, very deep down, not funny!
I must've been so hard into my work I did not feel the bee cuddling up under my sweater!
The waitress later brought me an onion since my arm grew bigger...
The steak was excellent!
We went home and all seemed ok.
I kept the sting cool and Sat morno all seemed fine.
Whilst Ingo sold his car I went to the butcher, which is quite a way and I got hotter and hotter.
My arm grew insanely big, hot and itchy, in the arvo we went to the pharmacy, the dude gave some mild stuff and said it's not dangerous.
Packs of ice got used up so fast I sat there without cooling and that was frightening indeed.
I'm allergic to bees.
I type this with my left hand only since I cannot bend my right arm and the hand is swollen, too.
And the exam is on Thursday...

Iris surely you will have to go to the doctor if it doesn't cool down soon..it sounds incredibly painful 😶
But there is nothing a doctor could do, Grace.
If it was just not around exam-time I wouldn't even complain...
If you are allergic to bees you should carry an anti-histamine with you. The more often you get bitten, the worse the allergy could get. Hope you get better soon.
Oh, I think I just react strongly. If I was really allergic - I´ve been told - I´d gotten problems breathing and all - did not happen, so... all good!
