Résumé Of Crap (Kind-a)
Last Saturday started so well, it should´ve been a sign, it was suspicious.
Ingo wanted to buy an immersion heater and against all odds the lady in the second shop not only knew what that thing is, no, she sent us to her colleague who offered three sorts of them!
Who would´ve guessed these old-fashioned tools are still available?
And it came with a funny warning we found out when having a refreshing beer at Schadt´s:
"Don´t use it with aggressive fluids (beer is one!)."
What Ingo needs an immersion heater for?
He wanted to make Onsen eggs and also bought a thermometer that switches the heater on and off to guarantee a constant temperature.
After a crap-Saturday Sunday started with this:
Too long, too hard.
We then went to see a few cool cars:
(In German these cars are called "oldtimers" btw! But watching soccer on huge screens together outside is called "public viewing", too...)
And it was nice to see that people here still have trust in each other (the window to that side was closed, though):
Another act of kindness btw happened on Monday:
I walked towards a man in his 20´s who suddenly jumped off his pushbike, more or less threw it away and made a dash onto the 4-lane road (that showed green lights for pedestrains).
It all went so quick!
On the very first lane was a heavy, older woman who´d lost control over her wheelchair and he ran for help.
(Am I glad he was there, otherwise it would´ve been my turn and I bet with my stupid arm I wouldn´t have managed).
I think mostly Braunschweig-people are honest and helpful, don´t you agree?
A good feeling.
Oh, we found another lion:
And to come back to the title... the footy game was a true pain to witness.
So many unnessesary failures and it just didn´t seem to end.
Was it karma??? A whole weekend of "crap"? ;-)
I sure do hope the next makes up for this!
Do you have such times, too, now and then?

I'd never heard of an immersion heater before.
Wow, that young man sure was thinking fast to save the lady.
I like the oldtimers too, such beautiful cars.
I did use immersion heaters, too, when I was young. Now I feel like really old, LOL...
Well, I do think the drivers wouldn´t have simply driven on - but it was great to see there is help so quickly! You call them "oldtimers", too?! I thought that´s another word for retiree...
Lovely to see young people helping elders Iris and good to hear in these times. Love the old timers 😀 One thing I know for sure is that whether a football game is good or bad I'll never be there to see it 😀😀
You really do not call it vintage cars, Grace??? I´m like really astonished!
I always thought American Football is as stupid as soccer and such... until I gave it a chance :-)
Yes, you also call them oldtimers, vintage cars or classic cars.
Crazy what we get taught!
Well, I call them vintage cars, or old time cars! What a weekend. Here's to a better week!
