Somewhere... Ove...

At the moment... (hahaha) nothing happens in my life.
I am at home. On my chair. You know, the super-street-find that I called "Treasure" 🥰

I do, Ingo had no idea what that was - binge watching, Gilmore Girls cause those noodles are pretty much all I can eat, that and in the evening Ingo makes me a very thin slice of bread.

Whilst typing.... I just had to take a break.
I felt something warm running to my lip.
I´m not kidding you!!!
I didn´t fall from Treasure, but my nose started bleeding. What´s with my body?! I think it´s kidding me!!!

Well, let me take you somewhere, huh?
I went through my files weeks and weeks ago and "prepared" these pics and #2... irony...

I had no warning on Monday... This is from our journey throughout Australia 1999 - real film, developed when back in Germany and some I just could not nail down where it was so I named them "somewhere" and, reckon I once showed you this before, but in case you have an earworm upon that word here we go to Perth right into Transperth 😍

No idea who was driving but we came through without a scratch and then... #3... no hazard in sight:

Someone (Ingo or I) was driving on the left, of course, but if the road condition gets bad... take the right, you see "in time" if someone is on the road.

Oh, we looooved this.
The red "dirt", the green to the side... Sometimes you don´t see another person for two days.
And if, you greet, you take your right hand off the wheel and "say" hi.
When we came to "civilization" - slowly - Ingo didn´t get it and at first waved at every other driver,  🤣

And certainly... this really happened... we stood at the side a bit up, both naked to take a shower (we had a small solar shower on the roof) ... a road train came along, the driver honked... twice.

Funny. Here they wanted to introduce these huge road trains, too.
Never heard of that again, luckily. Imagine those huge things in Europe, it would be chaos.

Greeting from 1999, so much for now, more to come.
From Treasure and myself...

GO! DO! Check for March, they might have a great festival, and in Cottesloe maybe Sculpture by the Sea . All for free. Nice people, great city. Maybe contact Grace or Sami... Well, reckon B´s Daughter will have a good idea what to do, too ;-)

The showerstory made me laugh. But how are you today?

I´m OK, thank you (well, it still hurts, but it´s getting better). Yes, Murphy hit, how were the chances?! LOL.

I am kind of worried about you Iris. If you get another bloody nose you should call the doctor. Your fall my have caused some other injuries inside your head. Love your shower story.

My name is Erika. said...

I had to laugh at the road train story. We had a somewhat similar story, but instead of a shower we had to go pee. Ha-ha- now it is a good travel story. And Nicole is right. If you keep getting a bloody nose get it checked. Take care PLEASE! hugs-Erika

The red road reminds me of Prince Edward Island.

Oh, Nicole, don´t scare me.... So far no more bleeding and I showered successfully at home :-)

Tom, yes, if it is in my memory!

Erika, huh, peeing is even worse! LOL! The whole story, please! So far no more bleeding here, no idea what that was.... hugs to you and funny travel-stoties!

RedPat, it´s funny how I just add a side note and it gets the attention!

_____

William, more info, please, I have never been there!

Somewhere #3 looks just like the road leading north from Port Augusta South Australia, after the bitumen road runs out. But really it is the same anywhere in the outback.
Germany is far too small for road trains. Most European countries are too small.
