Laughing Critters

... as is the carer!
Let´s go back to Caversham Wildlife Park, how about that?
They are birds of prey, but they are the cutest (and "funniest")!

Guarding our park they were not so silent, turn on the sound, if you like.
That´s how we were put to bed and woken up:

This is for...

Henry's 🦁  alter Perth-ego,the Black Swan 🐣:

With the "laughter" they mark their territory.

Hello Iris,
I love the Kookaburra's sound, it's like being in a jungle.
Great video and photos. They are cool looking birds too. The Black Swan is a beauty! Thank you for linking up and sharing your post. Take care, enjoy your weekend. PS, thank you for leaving me a comment.

Eileen, this is why we always chose this Caravan Park!
My Brother says it´s cheap and crap and we could do better. How can you do better than this?

...the only things that I know about Kookaburras is the song about the kookaburras in the old gum tree. Iris, you saw some neat things on your trip.

Iris Flavia said...

Tom, yes, and we heard them every day :-)
It was about time!

What amusing/frustrating sounds of your alarm clock Kookaburras! It sure would have been difficult going to sleep with them, but hopefully they also sleep sometime!

Iris Flavia said...

Nah, it´s really just a short call, not frustrating at all! :-)
I LOVE them, I miss them...

When you mention them I always think of the song, Iris. Too bad you couldn't get an alarm clock with their song on it.

Iris Flavia said...

magiceye, you´re very welcome :-)

RedPat an alarm clock with them??? Oh, that would be WONDERFUL (I always wake mine, but, ohhh, I´ll have a look!).

See, and my friends say it´s crap! A "caravan park", you can do better.
No :-) This is wonderful!

I answered your question on my blog and mentioned YOU! I think you'll get a laugh out of it...I hope so! Hugs!

Iris Flavia said...

LOL, thank you for explaining! Somehow I still see some bird-cookie-monster ;-) Hugs

I'm glad you came back. I thought you would get a kick out of that. Sometimes I have to look twice...out into the forest! You never know! heehee!

Oh, we´re in the heart of Henry the Lion now!

I love that sound! i hear it now and again here, even this close to the city, but usually only one bird. A few years ago there were two up on a lamp post. I also love to hear the magpies singing.

Iris Flavia said...

Yes and yes and yes! The magpies I miss, too, they chattered and the raven had huge discussions!
I miss it!!! Or... them!

I love the kookaburra. Because of a song that I once learned and also taught to the children in my class
