I do know it is dumb, but I just could not resist Rexi!!!!
Here you see him with my not so big hand...
I was more than full from tea with milk,750 ml!!!
With Rexi I join Elizabeth's T! Wish me luck he makes it to Braunschweig in one piece!
A T for now last time from Madeley/Perth.... (see title)....
The journal:
FINALLY Jamie on TV- using flour. FLOUR!!!
After I got self raising flour at ALDI as it is NOT AVAILABLE in Germany!! I feel cheated!
Tuesday: Spider bite kept me home. Postcards written, Birthday-pressie bought, lazy day.
Wednesday: Our neighbors must be from ALSTOM. The F-word is fluent 😂
Off to Freo to check out the pub Sami pointed us to. In the fish and chips the fish tasted fishy, uggggg... Who ever thought of that?! 😉
Then Maritime museum where we found something from Hamburg, Germany (post to come).
Thursday: Joondalup. Tons I did not buy and tons I had to...
Pie from JESTERS!!! Took two home, two more brekkies for me as Ingo didn't want to.
YUM!!!
See, munchy:
Friday: I had a microwaved Morning Glory and Sat an evil Ned Kelley-pie.
Wiki says: " Edward Kelly (December 1854 – 11 November 1880) was an Australian bushranger, outlaw, gang leader and convicted police-murderer. One of the last bushrangers, he is known for wearing a suit of bulletproof armour during his final shootout with the police."
Was yummy, that mate!
Grace picked me up early and off we took to Cottelsoe to meet Sami and visit Sculpture by the Sea. Posts to come - bare with me... a tiny laptop is a pain for me!
Sami then dropped me off in Freo where I said GOOD BYE to Ingo's smoking pipe FOR GOOD!!!
I CERTAINLY listened to Sami and did NOT kick it into the water, I said bye-bye here:
PLEASE, PLEASE make help Ingo quit smoking for good, no vapors, either.
I lost both parents in a long process to cancer due to smoking....
Also had no worries having a beer on my own in the pub or half a Grill'd.
Took a while but I'm all grown up now.
In my upbringing, and I am a very shy introvert (or was?) being "alone" meant you are a failure.
It took me a long way to overcome this, and I did!
Freo Markets - Posts to come!!!
Weekend: Saturday: And why would my sun-allergy shut up? No, it's not that. An unknown insect. Not my lucky visit!!! HUGE allergy!
Rain, wind, chicken and ANTS!!! Again!!!
Took pics of my goodies for in case the suitcase does not make it to Germany....
In the evening Red on TV, very good. Can't believe what happened to the male main character in real life...
Sunday: Grace and Pat picked us up... BIRTHDAY PARTY at Sami's! See here,if you like.
Henry's 🦁 alter Perth-ego,the Black Swan 🐣:
Happy T-Day to you!
Addendum to Mae's comment on the flour:
We saw oil to spray here in 2006. We found it in Germany only after... 2015???
Self-raising flour.... give it ten years to come to Germany.
We live behind a rock!
We do not even have engineers anymore, I am one of the last. You get a "batchelor", then "master". Thank you, Angela Merkel, Germany was on the way down with her and Smurf "Chancellor" Olaf Schulz gives us the final push down the drain....

Good to see you having fun despite the evil spider. You are the second blogger in Elizabeth’s T-Day to mention self-rising flour. Strange coincidence.
best, mae at maefood.blogspot.com

I watched RED too, one of my favourite movies, and there is a second movie! I am also sad at what happened to Bruce Willis, I liked him as an actor.
I hope your allergy stops itching and goes away quickly.
I LOVE the Tea-Rex mug!
I would choose a Maharaja for dinner and a William Tell for dessert.
I would choose a Popeye and a William Tell for dessert.
Sounds lie you, Grace, and Sami had a great time by the sea. And you KNOW I love seeing the black swans. Of course, I loved your calendar pages and that Tea-Rex was an absolutely perfect entry for T this Tuesday, dear Iris.
Was ich vergaß zu sagen - die Tea Rex Tasse ist Klasse! Hoffentlich kommt sie heile an.
Glad your home safe and sound, and I so enjoyed seeing your travel adventures on your blog 😊. My dad just stopped smoking when he hit 50, my uncle died of a smoking related illness and as he was his best friend (very sad), it spurred him on to stop - it's so hard to do though. Loving your pages today and spinach pie is yummy, I'm making my mum's favourite spinach and ricotta lasagne this weekend for her, as it's mother's day. Take care and Happy T Day ❤️. Hugs, Jo x
I have never used self rising flour, I think it is very popular though in the southern states here for biscuits especially. cool that you found a gluten free version-have never seen that here.
enjoyed your journal pages and the latest movie from Jurasic Park was on the tv last week-a really good one.
Larry and I have been together now for around 45 years-when we first got together he had a really hard time stoping smoking cigarettes-he started as a child living in Chicago-ugh one does have to really want to quit for it to work. Happy Tuesday-hugs
Jesters pies, love them too - I've had maharaja, nutty chook and Pavarotti. Nice T-rex mug.
What a great post, Iris. I'm with you on Ingo's pipe and I'm glad it is floating out to sea. I hope he can do t. I know he can if he really wants to. And that T-rex mug is wonderful. So much to love here. I'm glad you're having a good time!
It's sad your trip is winding down, but I would have needed that mug too, especially since I love that movie and tea. :) Keeping my fingers crossed it arrives in 1 piece. And I know what you mean about being shy and introverted. I had those same feelings about doing a lot of things alone until I realized that I would miss out on things no one wanted to do with me unless I went and did them. Being alone isn't really bad at all (in fact I often enjoy it). And I hope Ingo really says goodbye to his pipe too. My parents smoked for years and only when my mom's cancer got caught early, did she quit. Cold turkey. She was done and after treatment she lived a long time. But it's not a good habit. I hope you have a safe trip home too. happy T day. hugs-Erika
You have had a busy week despite your allergies, Iris. I hope the rest of the trip goes well with nothing else happening. Ingo has no pipe now so must quit. ;-)
I really enjoy reading your post and all the fun. OH allergies, spider bites and what else? LOL I am so glad that you are where you want to be.
Here's more good wishes for Ingo quitting smoking! Bugs have not been kind to you this trip, what a bummer. The pies all sound delicious. I would have a hard time choosing.
Safe travels home!
It sounds like you're having quite the adventure with Rexi! Tea with milk and a furry friend by your side, what could be better? Best of luck on Rexi's journey to Braunschweig—I hope he arrives safe and sound! Wishing you a lovely week. Inviting you to read my new post.

I think it is just called RED 2, that's what I wrote in my book anyway. I have them on usb and all are listed in a notebook so I can easily find if I have a particular movie or not.
To answer your question, I don’t know which I would choose, but it sure wouldn’t be the Popeye. Love your tea-Rex cup, Iris. Happy T day.
River, I'll keep my eyes open for RED 2!
____
Sharon, most pies are yummy from Jesters - I still have one for tomorrow in the fridge!
Rexi is ready to go....
Great post!
I think I'd choose the 'Nutty Chook'. That sounds nice, but they're all good I think.
Congratulations to Ingo on giving up his pipe. It's quite a decision. But ultimately a good one.
I have never seen Red, but I have just looked up the plot and it sounds goof.
Ants! What a bother! First spiders and now ants. I feel for you.
Good for you for feeling good even when alone. You have to feel good in your own skin yo feel ok alone. You have come a long way! Go Girl!
Sorry I'm late in commenting. (Busy week)
