Am I Safe?

Mural by Banksy - Hanover 2024 - and, as I don´t want to be a ghost to you: Yes, that is me (see this post, "LOL" - I am sorry! Show who you are, right!).

Also I have no secrets, spy on me - you get bored to the brim.

With this I join Sami´s COLOURFULWORLD Monday Murals.

"Habits of the 1960s that would be unthinkable today

Music festivals were a big deal

Music festivals as we know them today originated in the 1960s. Before that, they were modest and required no extensive security measures, regulations, or organization."

My personal horror. A wonder I managed The Giants 2015 without Ingo, who worked as volunteer for The Little Giant Girl!

There, to the left are our dear host and I! Yes, right up front!
It was crazy! By coincidence I was close by and found her easily and you know what - even in the news they said people behaved well.

Sooo many people! Here is the Litte Giant Girl´s Uncle. She is 6m/18feet, he 11m/36feet tall.

1.4 million people and I didn´t feel scared.

Christmas-party at ESE - 200-something peeps in the rather small hall, air thick, I managed to say, I think I faint soon. Meep. And the bosses saw me being taken away - still walking!!!! - it was ... oh. And - guess what - others were sitting there already, too!
Lesson learned, I hope! Don´t talk forever and leave in some air!

Henry 🦁

Are you a sleepy head or do you rush on?
2025 ran by so fast.... in your world, too?
Have a great MONDAY!

Addendum: News on TV... it is No pants day.
Wiki, translated by google: "The No Pants movement originated in the USA and is now found worldwide. It has two annual events: No Pants Day and the No Pants Subway Ride. On both days, participants go out in public without pants and behave as if this dress code were perfectly normal."

Glad I don´t have to ride anywhere - it´s minus 4C/24,8F... Soooo much snow and Ingo drove to work by car (in pants) - Kids stay home again due to the weather.

Back in the '60's Hubs went to Woodstock-which was something else-he was on leave from the military at the time. I had an opportunity to go but I was never in to huge crowds like that-wasn't our time to meet
Happy new week Iris

You look like you're going to change into your superhero costume. I love the Little Giant Girl's Uncle in his deep sea diving costume.

Good mural

Iris Flavia said...

Yes. People indeed talk to me (seldom, but they do) when I wear Gurri (name by the producer). The Giants was a "once-in-a-lifetime", I reckon! And thanks to FB Ingo was the only volunteer from Europe :-)

A bit scary, though...

I love you & Banksy together, Iris. I'm not good in big crowds either. Or small rooms with no air.

Iris Flavia said...

Thank you, RedPat, yes, we need space, huh.

In the 60' going to concerts with a billion people never bothered me. As I got older and especially now I don't want to be in a crowd at all. Ingo looks so good in this volunteer photo and you always look fantastic. Have a great day.

Love the mural, it's great.

I'd be more afraid at a Christmas party than a big concert. Well a party with 200 people and where I didn't know a lot of folks. I don't really like schmoozing. That giant is kind of scary. But I like the photo of you and spies. Hope it was a great start to the new week. hugs-Erika

I like that Banksy mural better than most of his other works. I never understood the appeal of those music festivals. Thousands of people all crowded together, too few toilets available, and how could anyone see the people performing? How could you hear them? I was too young for them anyway, but still wouldn't go even if old enough.

Iris Flavia said...

Yes, getting older huh.Oh, thank you, yes, those were happy times! To a great day!

Iris Flavia said...

I knew near to know one, maybe 10 people.... it was just so embarrassing the bosses saw I go away. The giant is super-gentle - after all he is the Little Giant Girl´s Uncle! To a great new week, hugs

Iris Flavia said...

Exactly, too few toilets, men just pee on the ground and you hardly see the performers! I was at two smaller concerts and... well, one was for free - it was before Bob Geldof became a star and I was right up front. I still remember the silly clothes he wore! The peeing one was Marius Müller-Westernhagen and I told myself never again!
But I was in many a church to Gospel music-concerts.

Well, a bit scary, too!
