Always There

This is the original pic, don´t ask...
It was Bro´s 5th Birthday, I guess - and he was not happy unless I was there.
He was always "on my hip".

Mind you!!

How could I forget???

When thinking back he always was "The Prince" and I was left behind.
But there are so many pics that show he looked up to me.

Later rather down, but in a lovingly way.
He was always there.

Well. 5 years after I was there that is ;-)

(Pumuckl was always with us, too)

And, what can I say.
His wife is taking him away from me. Yes, I said it.
Even Ingo saw it.

What can she have more than me?
She gave him two Babies... there is nothing more to give, why fight me. Why.

She wins.

I last saw him / them when I lost my ear, over two months ago.

It´s but 60 km, too :-(

Lion of the day.

I don't think we have to live in each others pockets to love each other. With my brothers and sister we sometimes see each other a few times a year, other times not. We don't fuss much about it. Generally we are happy if we catch up sometime around Christmas. My husband is the same with his brothers and sisters.

I don´t wanna live in his pocket but it´s funny how I´m always there when he needs me and how she keeps cutting me off.
The kids are big soon, too. I saw them but a couple... aw, well.
My hubby is like yours and maybe that´s the way to go.
Still it makes me very sad.

That's hard. I'm an only child so I never had the opportunity to have a sibling to love so much, but I think it would hurt. And it doesn't change the love, but it does change the dynamics. I wish you two could have a quiet, just-the-two-of-you conversation so you could share how you feel. Maybe he could offer light on the subject but if nothing else, he would know about your sense of loss with the relationship. Easier said than done, I suppose. Every thought of meeting up in the middle, just you two -- 30 k is a lot easier than 60.

This sadly is a very sensible subject.
Actually my point rather than he is blocked from my life is that I always had in mind he was "better" - I was "only" a girl, and a coincidence, not really wanted. But those pics show it wasn´t always like this at all.
I am sorry you have had to be an only child.
I was 5 1/2 when he was born that is much like being an only child for a long time, too...
Hehe, dunno about America but here without a car you´re rather lost anyways. I have no car no more (and I´m glad, too!).

Sibling dynamics can be quite difficult. I have two sisters that I would prefer to never speak to again.

Oh. I am very sorry to hear. You must have your reasons.
