My Two Favs

They are fragile, but I sooo love poppies.

Same goes for this masked man:

Yep, Hubby :-)

Fragile, this tall man?
Yes, chronically ill, managing without meds but with discipline.

Remember The Little Giant Girl in 2015, Perth where so many wore a poppy as sign of respect?

I still have the pressie from P, even though the poppies are long gone, but for one time they made our balcony soooo beautiful!

Even the Lion of the day was in love!

Getting warmer here, "hunt" for poppy-seeds is on!

Nicely done the Little Giant Girl!
I also like the poppies ... but I haven't seen them yet.
My garden will certainly bloom in June.
I can see Henry is in love ... he has melancholy eyes! LOL
Wishing you a nice day! Here is cloudy today but not cold, its 19 grade already.
A little big hug for you! xoxo

Yes, the Little Giant Girl sure was an adventure, and Ingo kept an eye on her as only European volunteer in the team :-)

I grew those poppies that year as well - they were gorgeous :)

...poppies can be so difficult to grow and here they are growing in the crack in the sidewalk! Like they say, "grow where you are planted!"

The persistent poppies that grow in the tiny spaces between the cement walk and a brick wall are a good example for all us impatient humans!

I had poppies in my garden once, but they never grew again. It's a pity as they are lovely.
Have a lovely weekend :)

I've seen poppies here poking out of the streets, they are strong flowers. Rain, windy up to speeds of 50 to 65 km/h with gusts of 90 to 110 km/h.
Enjoy your day!

Sorry I was so late visiting. A horrible storm, high winds, hail, and terrible downpour put water in my basement and a mess in my yard and garden Friday morning. I had to clean it up because we have more rain and high winds on the way on Saturday. Sort of like where poppies can live. They are truly lovely, dear Iris.

Things like poppies look best when they are massed together for a sea of colour I think. Whether it is a small flower bed or a whole field, the colour really catches the eye that way.
