This is the "samurai" who will defeat Corrine? Oh wait ... it's a she, right? Then no smuray is Cio-Cio-San (nicknamed Butterfly)! Am I right or not? When I had very long hair, sometimes I put it on with the Mikado sticks ... do you know Mikado game? I wish you a very good week and I send you a very big hug! xoxo
Ella. You seriously ask a Hathi if he knows the Mikado-game?! One that does not like sweets even ;-) And the one with thin hair, you "kill" me! LOL Thank you, I burned some calories laughing. I´ll add a pic on the post for Tom for you...
No ... I mean the game Mikado! That game where chopsticks have to be picked up ... you know? Not the "sweet stuff"! Bleah! I swear I don't want to kill you ... softly! Hahahaha … xoxo
I remember a little Japanese from when I watched the TV mini-series Shogun many years ago. I don't get the pronunciation correct, but recognise a word or two still.
I know that Japanese word. When I went to Japan 2 years ago, our guide and now friend, owned a coffee shop named that. I am excited to see a word I know. I would never recognize it in Japanese writing however. happy Monday to you.
Ohayo Iris-san! Arigatou for sharing this beautiful mural of a geisha! It reminded me of one of the most beautiful films I have seen in my life, Memoirs of a Geisha. Have you seen that movie? if not, please do iris! That is a treasure!

And with sweet memories - not that I´ve ever been there... but my parents were!

A nice mural, by the looks of it. Is it on a street wall, or part of a shop, or advertising a restaurant?
The latter, see Wednesday :-)

I sadly don´t know the series, but The Simpsons sure have some episodes on Japan :-)
Don't see that often on the street.

Nice to see Japanese art for a change.
Well, sadly I don´t even like raw fish!
Separating the "real Japan" from the stereotypes is challenging. Is that painted outdoors on a wall somewhere? Interesting.
be well... mae at maefood.blogspot.com
