Weeeeeeeeeeeee....
(Pic: Bro and I on summer-holidays)
Three more days of work and then, weeeee, six weeks of holiday!
Do I have a great boss, teamleader, colleagues and customer or what?!
The customer himself (VW) would not be allowed to have 6 weeks in a row.
Bro always tries to talk me into applying at Volkswagen - which very likely would not end in a success anyways, that´s why they prefer externals, cheap and easy to get rid of.
And if so... there would be no more starting at 05:45, going home 01:45, oh, no!
9-5 it would be!
No parking available, heaps of traffic and especially in summer: no arvos for fun!
In winter: Driving home in the dark, too, with heaps of traffic (I´m nightblind).
You get way more money there.
But.What.The.Heck, right?
Freedom it is!!!
Six whopping weeks in a row!
Hmmmm, just seeing this pic makes me drool, it´s not a phrase it´s true, Australians (and visiting Germans) don´t say cheese, they say COON!
Do you remember being a school-kid and taking this for granted?! Not the COON, the six weeks?
At least in Germany it´s six weeks of summer-holidays, three more in autumn, Christmas at least two, Easter at least two.
And it was always over soooo soon!
I think it´s all about perspective, too.
My VW-colleague has a Ducati with several extras, a car or two (wife), and now "our" Moped. And (friendly-funny) teases me that we can afford Perth again.
DINKs, we are and have no Ducati where the fitting helmet alone costs some whopping €500!
We live a rather frugal life, hot meals only on the weekends - ok, that is mainly due to laziness, still, it´s cheaper.
Meat not even every weekend (I don´t like meat all the time), cheap(est possible) cars and so on and yes, then we can afford Perth again - 5 weeks long, too!
Can´t wait, just pleeeease can someone invent safe and cheap beaming until February 10th? Scotty, are you there somewhere still? We need your help!
(haaaa.... cannot find "English" - cause I was automatically directed to English - the article is not available in German!)
