We´re Off To Hillarys For January
I guess a certain someone from The Hills was at first thinking, "d'oh, my mail got lost!" and on my last comment on FB
(I´m like really getting old
The lazy mail man put a note in our mail box he´d been there, trying to deliver a package, I can get it from hell - aka far away - now.
I did order something?? I can't remember?
When? What? Seesh!!)
"hehe, you´re not!".
Guess what!
Ingo is still signed sick (all good so far!) and had to see our doc this morning so he had to take the car anyways and I asked him to pick up that weird mail of mine.
I later got an e-mail, subject "you´ve got mail!" (ok, in Germany there was an add that Ingo used, "Tach, Post".)
And he wrote that "package" is some ad from foreigners.
Huhhhh?
On which he sent me this:
I smiled like real big - then frowned real big - customs duty again!!! The green sticker - that´s them. They always get my mail to check, that´s why I stopped ordering advanced stuff from China, too.
Every.Single.Mail.From.Outside.Germany!
Let´s stop whining, right?
Here goes!
A Christmas-Pressie from my dear friend (and witness to marriage) Mandi, thank you so much!
I feel bad for making it to a card at all!
But I´ll be back, right?!
Seriously: Anyone a wish? We come with more or less empty luggage cause we wanna buy clothes in Perth!
Sales tax are way (!) lower than here and China is just around the corner, too, which makes it even more "cheaper" to us - such a difference in the end!
If there is anything special you´d like to bring us, please feel free to say so, I´m serious!
(Otherwise we decide what we bring and let me tell you, we´ve gathered some already.)
Anyhows... this calendar from last year, that I simply switched to January again:
(Please note the new clock!! Cute, no?)
... that one is replaced by the 2014-one from the one at the living room - which got replaced by this (to us) brand-new 2015-Perth-Calendar, wiping away my thoughts like, ummmm, in Germany you get actual-year-calendars way into March, and cheaper, too, will we be able to grab some in Perth?.
Here it is, right beside Braunschweig´s skyline and above the beautiful clock showing Perth-time (I´m not obsessed! I just like to see what´s your time right now and yes, I know, I have it on the PC as well - but... That.Clock.Is.Beautiful - no?)
Thank you, Mandi, what a great (thanks to being German belated) surprise!
I find it odd, being German, just visiting and having friends in Perth who do not know each other.
Maaaaybe there is interest in a meetup with all?
Just suggesting, I´m ok the way it is.
No! That´s not true!
I am not ok! I am happy to have bloggy friends who turned into real friends!
Friends who really make an efford to meet us, drive around for this, take their time and hopefully have fun with us.
I cannot wait to come back and at the same moment I go, eeeeek... today in a month we ARE there!
We´ll be exhausted, we´ll stand the heat, we´ll moan happily. You know...
This was a great surprise, especially when you have a look at our weather here - pic taking rolling slowly towards the red lights:
Ahhh, we´re at Hillarys this month, and next moth for real!!!!
Addendum... I´m an honest person. Somehow I was like "Nachtigall, ick hör dir trapsen" - which is Berlin-language and means like "nightingale, I hear you approaching". I had an idea I maaaaybe get a surprise from Perth. :-)
Mum.. thanks for "making" me to think positive - it came out well!

A lovely present from Mandi.
Now you can look forward to visiting some of those places in the calendar!
A blogging meeting would be an great idea, just needs to be arranged before my departure on 20th Feb.
Is there a café in the city we could choose?
No, there are no cafés in Perth!
Stop, I saw some people with a cup of smashed insects in a secret liquid...they called it "Star-Bugs"
Remember the tumble weed in the streets.
