Found this as draft from when I tore my muscle around Easter.
Better late than never, here goes, after another find thanks to Elizabeth´s post here:
This beauty was "somewhere" in my treasure-part of the green shelf, almost forgotten, thank you, Elizabeth, for reminding me! It will get a more prominent place to remind me of our travels in 1999 throughout Australia´s West, North and Outback for 7 months!
I think I got this seashell from a store and google refuses to give me the name... can anyone help?
Reflections, btw: In pic above there is the reflection of a softdrink-bottle with the word "Ja!" - "Yes!" - the home-brand of REWE, and one of our kitchen-clocks.
Time runs (too fast), don´t you think?
Back to finding and treasures:
Saturday (in April) Ingo came home from his first shopping tour - actually for those "thingies" to clean your teeth with - and presented me with that sea-lion and seashells.
See the ugly price-tag wrapped around?
I looked for a container to keep the seashells whilst the glass took a long detergent-bath to get rid of it.
Last year the wonderful tea-cup-combi I found in the street - perfect, huh?
And to top it, when the tag was off I saw: "BS" on the bottom - it wanted to come to BraunSchweig! (Our number plates all start with "BS", no bullshit)
If you think this was all... Nope.
I am still to keep my arm still so Ingo does all the shopping.
(I am to cut down all ingredients for his beloved - very, very yummy peppers, though! ;-) ...more than 3 hours of work (I am slow))
And he came home with these (studies revealed men with a lot of testosterone are very generous):
And yes. In the news they said one of the coldest Aprils again. Hence the jacket...
(Just look at Spain 40C!!!!)
Even the wrapping had flowers, I sure can use that later for some art-project!
They are a lille "crippled", but these things always end up here - they need a home, too!
Henry 🦁
P.S.!!! Thanks to Spare Parts and Pics I now know the shell is a Cowrie!
She now has a name here (shells in German are female).

So many pretty little things in your life :)
Spoiled brat, me ;-)
So I´m not too dumb to google...
...I hope that you and Henry enjoy the flowers.
Ingo is very thoughtful. My hubby too, but he likes to bring me home sweets. Now I know you aren't a fan of sweet things, but I like them. Only I try not to eat them on a regular basis because they aren't really that healthy. I try telling him and dropping obvious hints, but no. Maybe some flowers would be nice instead. Happy Thursday. Hope your day is going well. hugs-Erika
That sea shell looks lovely!
Tom, yes, we did back then :-)

Erika, oh, that is sad, LOL...
Maybe buy yourself some flowers as hint for him?
Weeks ago I bought "a ton" of licorice. I wanted to do a post on that... I forgot about them and had none of it!
Thank you for the reminder!

magiceye, yes, and now it will get a proper place to sit!
So nice to be spoiled occasionally. I missed what happened to your arm. Shall have to go back and read!
I like collecting sea shells and rocks when I walk the beach.
Always nice to have souvenirs. I have quite a few from India, Croatia, Thailand, Canada, Africa and Guatemala. Some were gifts; others were purchased by me. Love those flowers, too. Ingo is the kind of man I like. I enjoy his gifts to you.
Granny Sue... Ingo was snoring and I gave him a buff. As it was cold outside the blanket, I tore a muscle!
Yet, he spoils me...

Bill, I know, I have some from you here :-)

gigi, thank you for enjoying it with me :-)
And to souvenirs. Always nice to get remembered of great times!
Ingo is a keeper. Nice that he spoils you!
:-) Yes to to both!
What a goreous cowrie shell!
THANK YOU for giving me the name! (Sorry, I didn´t want to yell at you, but this is supergreat!)
I like those shells, I haven't seen one of them in years. The flowers look like Freesias as we call them.
Yes, this shell is very special (to me) and the flowers were such a nice surprise. Freesias, got it, thank you, too!
That shell is pretty. Every now and then I find an old post too! I love the flowers!
Yes, that was a good find :-)
