T STands For Back Says Thanks

My ticket to Elizabeth´s T - Ingo came home with this - as kids we had that as powder and added water... or...
A couple of years ago there was a cool ad:

A young man sits on a wall, licking the powder. Out of nowhere future-man pops up and explains, "you can ask me ONE question!" - dude looks wide-eyed and blurts out, "how cool is that?!". Future man thinks it over and replies, "REALLY cool."
And is gone.

The journal:

Monday: What a start. Glasses dirty > cleaning > surface has failures (in both!).
Bro´ll take care.
Ingo pops in, the Cabin sent an e-mail, off to private PC to take care.
Back to work PC (that´s seven steps/same room)... K´d called! I call back, nothing. Hang up. 30 secs later, K calls.
And it´s not even 09 in the Monday morning!
How was your start to the week?
K called again and said the meeting I held Friday was great 😃
Talked to admin T... way over worktime! He said I should drive a car again. He is right...
09:23 pm, still 18C outside.

Tuesday: More CV-translating at work.
And a quarter "pan-pizza" for lunch. YUM. Got real Italian ready to go-dough for that!

I hope they keep the product despite the language(s)!

Evening: X-files. They even translate TIME to German (16:51 instead of 04:51pm on a sign).

2 sessions of training (a slow start). My back yelled "thank you!!!!"

Wednesday: Started with Dietrich´s CV, he was born 1944. Wow, he must love his job! Reminded me of a bus driver I met 2006 in Perth. He was 76 years old and worked as it was fun for him (I had to ask him when to hop off). He even sang to me!!!

3 sessions of training.
Lost places all evening on TV, Ingo let me know. We sadly get it translated, but the narrator is the German voice of Tom Selleck. Did I mention sexy male voices last T-Day? 😉

Thursday: Got a cardbox with mantras-cards I forgot about. First card: write down three things you are thankful for and that make this day special.
I am very thankful I am allowed to work from home and with great colleagues.
And I am thankful I started working when COVID was in full blast so I still have all the gear needed for free. Both makes every workday special.
And #3: Tonight is "The War with Grandpa" with Robert De Niro on TV. Sadly in German but I look forward to it.
Boy, my life is so exciting!... not ;-)
Oh. I defrosted the freezer and cleaned it.

4 sessions of training.

Friday: Went to EDEKA. It was rather cool and I´d forgotten my camera.
Towards me came a woman cycling in a summer dress. Her lips the reddest red and she wore a 1920´s hat! We smiled big at each other. And I kept smiling on for minutes. Nearly forgot to mention, but then read Cloudia´s post.
So sad the picture is but in my mind now.

Found out the Taco Guys close!!! They will make burgers. As if we don´t have enough burger stores...

4 sessions of training.

Weekend: Saturday: Went to the city in a t-shirt!!! Nearly became a theft, bought tons of food and too many books (post to come). And College Football was not translated.

Sunday:
Lazy. Löwenzahn, Maus and the most boring yet interesting fairy tale you could´ve shortened to 15 minutes - we both agreed!
Does it happen to you, also? Same thoughts at the same time?
Crazy how we think alike. Hairy-canary-time again (Ingo cut my hair, me his).

Art-wise...

Yes please, I want summer too, but soon enough I will complain it is too hot.
I love your journal pages each week.
I have been doing some cleaning too, cupboards and drawers, throwing out stuff (why on earth did I keep this? sort of stuff), but I found things I had forgotten about that will still be useful.

Nah, there is no too hot ;-)
OK, I might complain as well, coming from likely freezing cold.
Thank you, the journal making is fun. And other the days would just flow by, I would never know what I actually did!
I should throw out stuff, too... At least I have started a box (2 weeks ago...)...

Love every page of journaling and your fab watermellon painting (very good by the way). Always delightful to see what you are up to, Iris.

Work sounds good. You should think of driving again. Proud of all your exercising and cleaning. I actually got in a deep cleaning mood. I bought one of the spin brushes that clean into crevices and scrub stoves and things. I love it. Also decluttered part of my closet. I rarely feel like doing this so I have to keep going when the mood hits. Your life sounds good to me - we do the same around here.

Happy T-day and hugz

Nancy, thank you, this is motivation!
Driving... I am so jumpy, that is dangerous.
I wish I would like to declutter, too lazy...
To our good lives, hugz

I always love seeing how you illustrate your daily journal Iris. I love the translating time and the men moving the hands. :) I'm always trying to think of ways to illustrate items in my daily journal. Sometimes for me it's tough to come up with ideas. I hope you have a super T day. Hugs-Erika

I too would like some summer. It has been a very cold and strange weather summer here. Love all of your journals. That drink is like Cool-Aid here. Before my mom could make the drink the six of us kids would have eaten the bag. LOL Your journal art is so much fun to see. Have a nice day, Iris.

Black Knight, is that some dialect? I thought it´s "just" Italian!

____

Nicole, it has really warmed up here!!! I´m sooo happy about it!
LOL about the six of you!
Thank you, the journal is fun to make - have a nice day, I wish you some warmer temps, too!

We had two kinds of powder like that. One came in a straw that was called a Pixie Stick. The other came in an envelope and was called Lick m'aid. We just licked never occurred to us to add water and make a drink! All your drawings are so fun. And Piglet and Pooh are just so sweet. The pan pizza looks delish and we watch the X-files with the Eldest. Mullldeeer! Happy T Day

Your daily calendar pages are always so much fun to read. You draw cars very well. Sounds like work is still very good.

I decluttered the garage, so that is enough for now. Later, it will be the basement studio and clean the basement bath to within an inch of its life.

LOVE the watermelon. You drew them so well.

I like that drink you chose. We had a sweet and sour drink you could add water to, or eat out of the bag, too. I liked the taste of it. Not too sweet and not too sour.

Thanks for sharing your calendar, your art, and your drink with us for T this Tuesday, dear Iris. I agree you should drive again.

Divers and Sundry, I now have powders again - without sugar :-)
The pizza was yum and sooo quick!

____

Bill, thank you. Right now we still have 29C! Crazy times!

____

CJ, the straw we have for milk. "Lick m'aid", LOL, obviously everywhere in the world kids do it this way!
Piglet and Pooh are not that popular here, crazy, right? Thank you it´s fun to draw - other the days would go by and I´d had no idea whatt I did, esp now that I work from home.
To piiza and Mullldeeer!

_____

Elizabeth, thank you and... work is OK - the colleagues are very nice!
If I remember the powder was quite sour. Oh, butt this is soooo long ago (you still can buy it).

Yes. I know. I should drive.
But I am jumpy, very jumpy and might just have an accident over nothing again.
Say a tyre blows up with a bang... or a bird crashes on the windshield... I´m a danger also for others..
