My ticket to Elizabeth´s T from The Taco Guys (bye-bye, see here, if you like, big buhuuuu...).
The journal:
Monday: Work and then BALCONY-time! It warmed up, time for watercolors outside!
Only 1 training-session.
Tuesday: Work (colleague K called me again) and then BALCONY-time! still warm, 28C/82F, time for watercolors outside! Then BBQ and then...
I wanted to pay our cabin in Perth. Transfer fee is 1.99%!!! So I asked if I can transfer a small amount (to Sami again, it´s complicated again!) and pay the rest from there via credit card directly. Ingo thankfully remembered that was the way 2019, too.
We assume German Government accuses us per se of money washing and hence the high fee...
And yes. We had a Westpac-account in Australia.
Fees went through the roof, so we canceled it. Yes. I admit. I think my money is safer there than here.
SUMMER - BALCONY - SKETCHING - BBQ - no training.
Wednesday: Polish colleague K called me. If all is OK or if I need help? How nice is that!!
Then in his harsh, German accent and this superfast speech showed and explained for over 30 minutes what he does in his other project.
Hm... why? He is nice, but it´s really exhausting, also cause everything looks different as he has (thankfully!!!!) the English (not Polish) version.
So, I was late for ex-teamleader T with WhatsApp, and explained.
Him: "Maybe you are his teamleader 🤔" (as a joke)
Oh, boy, did I miss something??🤣
SUMMER - BALCONY - SKETCHING - sadly no BBQ as Ingo was unwell, only one session of training.
Lost places on TV again, the whole evening with "Tom Selleck".
21:21/ 09:21 p.m. - 27C / 80F still!!! Sadly mossies.
Thursday: Good day at work. Finally - why ever - my bank let me transfer the cabin-money to Sami. One huge point off my list!
29C / 84F, yippeeeeee - SUMMER, balcony-time, BBQ, chatting - only one session of sport also cause...
Lost Places!
Friday: Got a lot done with the redesign-job, nearly didn´t realize when the 8 hours were done! Fridays Ingo is home early - with a Henry this time (spoiled me... again. Think I need a tag for that...)!!!!
Ingo kept quiet, so I just worked on...
And later I got another Henry, see here (#Magnifest).
SUMMER, carousel, yum food and drink, gazillion of pics taken. Did I mention SUMMER?
Took nearly 100 pics, yikes!
One wasp... far away from us.
No training. Keeping up with Ingo counts as that!
Weekend: Saturday: Ingo´d bought me a hat a while ago. A kid´s summer hat.
He sewed it down to my size as I lost it at the slightest gush of wind. I´m an adult. He needed to make it smaller. The German word is "Schrumpfkopf"... I have a "shrinked head". Brain thankfully works normal.
Magnifest again, it was plain wonderful. And yummy. Met some Brazilian guys. Sounded like Polish to me! Languages are weird.
My childhood-hero Armin is still working for Die Maus 😍
If you are interested, Wiki says:
"Armin Maiwald (born 23 January 1940) is a German author, television director and producer. Maiwald is one of the founders of the award-winning German children's television program, Die Sendung mit der Maus. Often just called Die Maus ("The Mouse"), the program has been on the air since March 1971 and is one of the most successful children's television programs ever produced. Maiwald has won over 50 awards for his work."
My hero.
Food-wise:
This was Saturday.
Ingo asked to get the burger cut in half, as we share.
Stall-dude:
"Is extra."
WT...????
Was a joke, of course!
Was very yummy, yet... cannot wait for our first Grill´d burger in Perth!
Wherever you are... would you like to click the Grill´d link, please, and let me know if you can access the site?
Germany is blocked!
Also for Transperth!
Just what is going on here???
Art-wise...
Henry 🦁
"Too warm for the season".
Oh. Doesn´t Henry´s fur look so soft you wanna cuddle him?

I think you had a nice week. But I'm afraid summer is over now. It's raining here and there was a storm-warning
Same here, yes, Thunder and heavy rain. Buhuuu. We expect 25C tough!
Hi Iris, yes we too had lovely summer weather, not as hot but about 26-27C - it was wonderful, but now back to rain :( I clicked on the grilld site, I can see it fine. I wonder why it's blocked for you. Love your journal pages as usual, especially the washing machines. Happy T Day! Elle xx
Elle, thank you. This is a mystery to me. Why do "they" block Germany??? I do not want to have an idea! ;-)
Temps dropped here, too. 21C now.
To a "cool" happy T-Day xx
Always love your calendar pages. I loved the money and clothes laundering. VERY clever. Sweet lighthouse, too. Of course, I like that you gave us this Mexican cola, something I have never seen before. Thanks for sharing your calendar pages, your art, and your Mexican cola with us for T this Tuesday. SO glad you got your cabin with Sami's help.
Mexico is "just around your corner", how come we get that cola and you don´t?
Gah, the money-thing is a pest, really!
I don´t understand it.
Still waiting for Sami´s OK!
Mexican-brand cola -- not branded CocaCola -- is intriguing. Here, Coca-Cola (which is available everywhere) is made with High Fructose Corn Syrup instead of real sugar. That's nasty. In Mexico, HFCS is illegal, so Coca-Cola in their bottling plants is made with real sugar. Therefore you can buy Mexican Coke (imported), if you want real sugar -- it is way more expensive. What a crazy world!
best, mae at maefood.blogspot.com
I'm glad you're getting some summer weather- finally eh? It's been humid and summery here too. I'm ready for it to cool back a bit though as I have a lot of yard work I need to do. And for the rain which seems like never stops to end. :) Nice sketches. I bet it's fun to do them on your balcony. And I don't know what our transfer fee is, but I bet it's more than 1.99% I just put things on the credit card and pay them with all the scamming and stuff. I really should know, shouldn't I? Have a super T day. hugs-Erika
...Iis, keep enjoy your summer for as long as you can!
Mae, I had no idea! I never bought a drink there, just grabbed this as it looked interesting. Who knows what they have now that they are a burger place...
____
Erika, oh, it sadly cooled down.
Crazy with the fees. It kinda destroys the business, no?
Aside from money: To a great day! Hugs!
____
Tom, I hope for more! Now only 22C...
Glad you are finally getting some summer weather. We had a few days here too. I really like the mexican dringks. Althogh here there is way too much sugar in them. I guess that's why the taste so good. LOL Hmmm I would like a good burger, can't find one in my town. The food here is so aweful. Wow! that is so expensive on the money things. Have a great week.
Nice journal pages again. Grilld site works here too with no problems. I wonder why it is blocked.
I love how you chronicle your life each week with your calendar book and wonderful watercolors. I especially love the paint box and the washer-dryer one! Your work grows and grows!
Iris... love your little lighthouse! Its adorable.. We finally had a cold front come thru with RAIN!! Woohoo!! We are all loving it! Love to see all your art and i can imagine it was lovely painting on the balcony! Happy T day! Hugs! deb
Oodles of doodles! I used to illustrate children's books, so I've filled a sketchbook or two.
I can access that site.
Love the lighthouse and the journal pages. Henry does look like he has had a blow dry.
In Mallorca the temperature today 24 C., and It was a kind of raining day. This summer is strange.
Love your lighthouse! And that burger looks delicious!
Happy Tea Day,
Kate
We have a westpac here too, I use to bank with them but found their fees a bit too, high, hope you get your money sorted.
Henry DOES look like I want to cuddle him. I am able to access the Grill'd site, sorry you can't, but you'll be there soon enough and be at the real Grill'd. I'm glad you got the cabin money paid. We are finally getting some warmer weather, mid to high 20's all week. I'll have to get out the sunscreen.
Maybe Grill'd is not blocking Germany, maybe Germany is blocking Grill'd, since we are all able to access the site.
Sounds like you had a great week. Your work colleagues sounds so nice and who needs to go to the gym when you can get a workout keeping up with Ingo. I have the same problem with my friend, Teague. She’s tall than I am and walks fast, too. I have to run to keep up.🤣 Hooray for balcony time and Summer weather. Still having warm and humid temps. Here and lots of rain which we don’t need. I’m so jealous that when you go to OZ, you’ll be having a second Summer! Happy T Day
Love seeing your week in your journal, pictures, and words. So fun. Your sketching is fab as always. The government restrictions and fees on things really get in the way of things sometimes. Urgh. Your trip is shaping up. Work sounds good too. Love the lighthouse and the burger. Hugz
