Wrinkles - Seems Like I Laugh A Lot!
A rare pic with me laughing at my birthday-party, Bro in the background. All other kid-pics I look serious. I see a cam and boom, I can´t help it!
I was a tad „shocked“ when answering Ingo, standing in front of the mirror yesterday night seeing all those wrinkles I have when I move my face.
But, well, I´m, over 40, so guess wrinkles are normal, huh?
Not so for Harald Glööckler, a designer.
When he was 34 years old he started getting botox on a regular basis – for 15 years! Now he says it´s like Augsburger Puppenkiste, he looks like a puppet and stops.
When you scroll down in the article you find a series of pics where everything I mention is explained.
Dunno, I just read a (German) blog-post the other day on how we react to other people´s attitude and the blogger asks – does it hurt you?
So… does it hurt me he used botox for 15 years?
Nope.
Does it hurt me he designs not only clothes but his face? No, by golly, he has a man who loves him the way he is, good for him.
He cares for PETA, he cares for kids, he helps with his money and with ads. He established the “Harald Glööckler Award” in which he honors women, who do something for humanity, who are socially involved, he is ambassador of the German Children's Emergency Fund and patron of the "Kindernothilfefonds" for kids in need.
He´s got – or at least shows - humor and laughs about himself – cause, let´s be honest... the way he presents himself makes people laugh about him.
The article says behind the façade of the funny guy is still the sad, hurt kid – his mother died when he was 13, maybe it was his father´s fault, to whom he never spoke a word again.
All he really wants is that everybody is happy.
And well, he stays with the same man ever since, a man heaps older than himself.
Just make the effort and get to know the story behind the picture, right?
I was always just shaking my head in disbelief when I saw his face with his huge fake lips and all the make-up and glitter.
Actually he is a sad boy who is a genius in design and uses the big money he makes also for those who need it. He encourages others to do their best.
And now he wants to laugh again, with his whole face involved.
Maybe he´s grown up now.
And I should embrace my wrinkles and laugh.
Right?

Some people have trouble getting old and can't accept the wrinkles I suppose! I can't imagine getting botox as I'm scared of needles, so that's it for me, I have to accept my wrinkles...
At least he seems to be a decent person even though he doesn't want to appear to be growing old!
I´m not that afraid of needles, still... a weird thought taking botox. Makes me think of Cher, see Passenger´s song "I hate", on botox he sings "Just grow old with grace, have you seen Cher's face
It looks like it's been hit by a truck", I don´t want that ;-)
Definitely no botox for me Iris.. I'm going to grow old 'gracefully' :)
Your name says it all ;-)
