NO More Shit#y Meds
See, I tried.
Went onto the balcony, got some fresh chive etc etc, all the time gagging.
Forced down two bites and thought with that little I just cannot do the long walk to the doc.
What if I break down, will someone help or rob me?
Called, said I want no more of that stuff (aka citalopram), got my doc and she said:
Since I only took it weeks not years (plural!) I just can let go of it.
By the end of the month the stuff will be out of my brain and then we´ll see.
Call me stupid but later I cried out of relief.
Went back to bed and later the cold came again, I was freezing.
Those drugs are mighty :-(
Shivering, gagging.
Why ever did I try this stupid stuff so long?
T is better, H-H (who left the company a couple of years ago despite he was a partner) visited T and left greetings for me - all getting better :-)
Lion of the day.
Or so I thought :-(
Turns out I got the Antidepressant discontinuation syndrome.
So back to 10 mg and then let´s see. Shivering all over, can´t sleep etc - and wiki says the patient is to be told of this before - I wasn´t! I complained, she got pissed - how can she not tell me?!!
I even told her in the first place thatt I don´t feel good about it and asked if there is anything else I should now.
Trust a doctor - never...
And feeling like this I have to do the "resarch" myself, too! Now I am pissed!
I would´ve never taken this stuff!
Ingo is mad at me for not listening to my body much, much earlier and he is right, too.
I´m mad at myself...

Oh believe me Iris I always check everything myself before putting any chemicals into my body! Doctors have to realise there are many factors that make each person individual, medications might not work the same for everyone. So sorry you've had such a hard time with this drug, hopefully it won't be long before you don't need it at all xox
Most doctors won't tell you of the side effects which is sad. They probably gave you too high a dose when you aren't used to taking medication. (: Hope you feel better soon.
Thanks you two.
Sad thing is she has been my house doctor for over 15 years and always gave very good advice, that´s why I trusted her. I´ll let her know and get a new "psychologist", too!
And in the future will check myself before, too!
Catching up on some of your older posts …
I'm sorry to read you are not having an easy time and the drugs are not helping. I do hope things sort themselves out real soon.
My good wishes
All the best Jan
Crazy meds, I´m good again - don´t ever take those!
Dangerous for us with a sane mind even!
Your good wishes arrived! :-)
I had that experience the first time I cut down my anti-depressants. He even cut me down -- but apparently not enough.
Hang in there. You'll kick off them. I know you will.
Well, I´m cutting them down taking a month now! I hate it... but I will do it.
