Sludge And Summer Both For Free
Went to our "stupid" REWE yesterday and at the cash out I got flowers for free as "they only last for the day" :-)
(In the sun just for the pic, certainly! I love gerbera!)
T wrote he got heaps of tickets of errors that are none but the users can´t think in the heat anymore.
And that he´ll have an ice-cold Gin Tonic later.
Ingo passed by and I asked, "have I had a Gin-Tonic in my life?" - the answer was:
"Yes. And you, too, btw".
It´s the heat, we call the brain "sludge-pear" for a reason :-)
Astonishingly this letter really found it´s way to our mailbox:
Last name directly connected with first name.
Usually it´s first name last name...
And at Saturn on my way to the cash out I overheard how the staff explained a coffeemachine. The customer went, "sorry, I didn´t listen..." (and yes, it was pretty hot inside).
At the cash out itself I heard how a customer with the last big fan was followed by another customer who in the end when being asked said, "was just in case you decide not to buy" - it´s getting hilarious!
Ingo repaired mine, thankfully, but this is even better:
No worries, I don´t put it on the skin directly.
You should assume you get used to the heat, no?
We got used to Darwin´s hot humidity quickly and in the Outback we at peak had 45C - no problem. Because we were young?
Lion(s) of the day (and yes, those count, too).
What I wanted at Saturn was Petrocelli the second season, but they didn´t have it (amazon, right).
I know he never ever finished his house, but did they have a baby after all?
Well, a summer to remember!
In more than one way, too...
That makes a late addendum after some thinking... Was around lunch time and I was thinking, "hmmm, take a different route, you might run into an ex-colleague".
But the shop was just so close.
Certainly... S. He was always there for me. He asked how I´m doing.
I blurted out, "still signed sick..." and kinda waved good-bye and I have no idea who was with him, either.
He´s still a student, not even 30 and I felt so sorry, he really seemed to care and I brushed him off like that :-(
I blame the heat (and my stupidity or I´m really "sick"... wrote an e-mail, explained).

Free flowers, that's nice, even if they don't last long.
Wouldn't have thought of an ice pack to cool down, but that's a good idea.
It seems everyone's brains are melting with the heat, lol.
The flowers still look nice!! :-)
And yes, that ice pack "saves my life" (plural, actually) - I think you didn´t experience this kind of heat here? (I did´t before).
Yupp... brain meltdown at 11:00 am ;-)
Oh dear the heat is really getting to everyone over there, wish I could help, still pouring down outside. Hope some of it is going into the dams for summer.. have a good weekend Iris, keep cool as best you can xox
